We booked here one night knowing it was family friendly. We liked having the Skybridge to get to the waterpark. Very convenient, so we didn't need to get changed at the waterpark. We liked the rooms, nothing special but they were clean, we had 2 queen beds and the bunk beds in the little cubby, which was nice that that kids had their own space and we could watch tv while they slept. The room was VERY dry at night, we all woke up with really agitated sore throats. We would stay again for the convenience and the price. Check in was much too long!! Collapse

First of all let me say that we expected it to be busy seeing as we did decide to go over March Break. However, upon arrival not only is it impossible to park anywhere near the door to unload luggage, the closest parking lot is across the street. There were at least 50 people ahead of us at check in and that process took over an hour. Surely hotel management should have been prepared for this. Standing room only for the kids, nowhere to sit or store bags and no washrooms anywhere in sight. No trolleys available for bags. Rooms were dated, and had a very unpleasant odour. There were no comforters on any of our beds, the bunk beds were not made with anything other than a bottom sheet. We brought our own pillows thank goodness otherwise would have had to ask for more. When I called down to front desk they advised that there were only enough comforters for each bed in the hotel and did not have extras (LOL!). My most valuable advice is to BRING EARPLUGS! This is by far the noisiest hotel we have ever stayed in. Our kids were awake from 10pm -1am and again several times throughout the night due to noise from above and beside us. We called front desk security to address the noise above us (loud banging and running around after midnight) THREE TIMES with no resolve. This resulted in very tired kids who did not want to wait in the 45 min plus water park lineups to ride the slide one time. Total waste of money as they literally did not use it at all. Do yourself a favour and spend the extra money and stay at the Sheraton next door. Without question better value, better quality accommodations, better sleep and happier kids! Collapse

I brought my grand kids here for a couple of days during March break. They had a "spring break" special running so we decided to book. Check in was a zoo. I expected it to be busy since it was March break but not quite like that. Check in took forever and we waited in a line up of about 30 people. The lobby area is really small and there are no bathrooms! You have to go to the Perkins restaurant next door to use the bathroom. We had a room in Courtyard 3 on the ground floor which was fine. The room is in desperate need of a makeover. The carpet is stained and dirty looking, so is the bathroom floor but the beds are comfortable. The bathroom is extremely small with no vanity to speak of. No bathroom amenities - not even a blow dryer! They do have a combo body wash/shampoo dispenser in the shower. The toilet ran on forever if you flushed it. The T.V. got only a few channels (that actually had sound). Parking is ridiculous. Who charges that much for parking?? Park at the casino - it's free. There are lots of little taxes and service fees so be aware. It is very convenient to the water park and to the Clifton Hill area. Perkins Restaurant is outrageously expensive (like $20 for a cheeseburger). Even with the kids eat free coupon it still cost $42 for two cheeseburgers. Go elsewhere to eat. The beach Club restaurant inside the water park is a good place to eat. This hotel is very noisy. Lots of kids running around and banging and slamming doors as early as 5:30am. Not possible to avoid this I don't think, Not sure if the price was super inflated for March break or not, but I would not stay here. There are other hotels that have water park packages. The $22 parking per day totally turns me off. I would look elsewhere just because of that. Collapse

We booked a one night stay, which includes passes to the waterpark for 2 days, for a fun start to March Break. Unfortunately on Day 2, there was a power outage, and the water park was closed. We fully understood that the outage was not the fault of the Waterpark, however it is also not the fault of us, the customer. Cost of the Waterpark passes for the day totalled $100, however the resort only offered us $30 back for our inconvenience. We didn't even want the money back. Instead we requested that they give us replacement day passes so that we could return another time with our children to enjoy the park. We were continuously told that they could not do this as per their "policy", however I know for a fact that the General Manager did give replacement park passes to another family sitting right next to us, as I spoke with the other family and they confirmed this. I have also gone over their web page in detail, as well as all of the documentation that we received upon check-in, and have been unable to locate this said "policy" anywhere. I find it quite disturbing that this practice is allowed to happen, essentially stealing money from customers with no sort of repercussions. Even if they can show me where this "policy" is written, I find it borderline illegal to do so. No other business that I know of can charge you for a service, and then not provide you with full compensation when that said service was not supplied. To add insult to injury, both the general manager and managers asked us to fill in their "comment card" with our contact information, which was not a card at all, it was simply a blank piece of paper on a clipboard. I laughed at this, but we filled in our contact info anyways as they each GUARANTEED us that we would receive a response from them about our concerns. It has been 48hrs since this happened and we have yet to receive a phone call or e-mail. We also phoned in to their customer service line with questions, but were immediately put to voicemail, which has not been answered either. Collapse
