We've had an amazing time in this Hotel! Very representative reception with the latest trends. Reception lady Margarita was an amazing host and gave us the needed explanation about the hotel, services, excursions and the area. Such a lovely lady! The hotel is very clean (daily cleaning in the rooms), no need to make your bed, they do everything for you. There is free fast wifi throughout the hotel. The food in the restaurant is amazing and tastes delicious. Lots of variety in meat, fish and vegetables and fruits. Even though we haven't really made us if the Animation, the guy is very pleasant and has allot of positive energy. The Flamenco show was amazing! Such amazing dancers! Loved it! On the 3rd floor there is a swimming pool with an amazing view over the mediterranean beach! So beautiful! I really recommend this hotel! We had a lovely time here! Collapse

Arrived with my family for a weeks full board holiday. Reception friendly and helpful, we were allocated two rooms on ground floor which were ideal as wife and I are disabled. Rooms spacious and clean. Food: Food was not great small choice with food repeated daily or made into something else. Breakfast, requested omelette with variety of ham, cheese, mushrooms etc. but told No as he was only cooking plain omelette or fried eggs, chef not friendly, very Continental breakfast daily not much if you want traditional English breakfast. Lunch: Chef cooking fresh meat or fish very friendly and served nice fish or meat, however food repeated from previous night. Dinner: Again food repeated from afternoon or made into something else and limited choice considering size of hotel. Staff: Some dining staff quite rude, Susanna and Hose' non friendly, had to wait or call them over several times to order drinks, no rush to clear empty plates in between starter or main course so ended up stacking plates on top of each other and putting on corner or another table, some staff appear to show more attention to non English customers and ignore English customers which was noticed by other English guests Bar Staff: Very friendly and efficient always smiling and helpful. Swimming Pool: Nice sized pool as always my daughter had to get up early and 'reserve' sunbeds due to the morning rush. Entertainment: Animation team very good friendly from morning till night encouraging all guests to participate in pool activities. Night entertainment good and varied unfortunately maybe due to being on second floor unlike other hotels entertainment being open on ground floor not many guests stay in to watch therefore entertainers play to an almost empty room. The young man who runs the entertainment deserves a Medal and a Big pay rise, he is there from the morning till last thing at night and always friendly and smiling (don't think he had a day off the whole 7 days we were there.) Cleanliness: Hotel overall very clean, rooms cleaned daily, however was informed by bar staff that you can take drinks to room after midnight as bar closes, glasses and coffee cups would be collected whilst room cleaning this did not happen leading to us having to take these up to bar our self (with both my wife and I being disabled this was impossible) had to rely on my daughter to do this or cups and glasses would have remained in room all week, on a positive note cleaner did find and hand in my daughters DS after we checked out and was returned to us. Resort: Santa Sussana is a lovely place, beach across the main road over a bridge or walkway sandy beach and lovely warm sea. Night time: Lovely walking along main road with wonderful stalls selling different things and plenty of bars/ hotels with good entertainment and a good English bar Crown and Anchor selling English beer and Guinness and food. Overall: We last stayed at this hotel 8 years ago when our daughters were younger and really loved it. As my wife now has dementia (she's 54) and my health is suffering we wanted to revisit the same hotel again to add to my wife's memory book and for the girls to really remember this hotel with fond memories as we have just celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary and this stay was due to be more special. We will not be returning to this hotel again. We visit this resort almost yearly and have stayed in other surrounding hotels with same star rating as we only stay in 4* and above as Santa Sussana holds so many happy memories, but due to issues raised above our stay was not as memorable as it should have been We travel abroad as often as we can and unfortunately feel we will not be returning to this particular hotel again and will stay in one of the others Collapse

The hotel is good looking but don't stay if you want to sleep before 1am and be up in the morning or if your going to be tired from travelling the walls are paper thin and the pool bar plays club music and oldies tunes until 1am at least. Would suit groups of teens and kids. Other than noise the hotel is nice, but the noise is loud and late. Collapse

it's small and cosy, only 5 floors. staff all over the place are ready to help you with a lovely smile. room was comfortable and clean. the pool area in the 3 floor is in front of the building and pool view is limited. our balcony overlooked the hotel's next door pool. the buildings are closed to each other. the SIRIUS is a little bit far from the promenade and those few dozens of meters make it a quieter place to stay. thank you all for a pleasent week stay. arriving to the hotel me and the wife was a bit sceptical; as you arrive from the rear of the hotel by coach which is mostly car parks, unsightly buildings (Carrefour which was actually a blessing, more of that later) and burnt/dead grass. Looks a bit of a dump but don't let this put you off, as you approach the hotel you are greeted by nice shiny light coloured stone which features predominant in the hotel is kept nice and clean throughout and i thought looks quite classy. Check in nice and smooth, (dont forget to keep a key card in the white holder near your door else your lights/AC keep switching off). Bedrooms nice and clean with balcony (not very good view of neighbouring hotel) settling down for the night we were excited to hear there was a Flamenco show that first night so we got unpacked and headed downstairs for the show, now we were a bit dissapointed when we got down there and the theme continued for the whole week; the evenings entertainment is disappointing, its not necessarily down to the entertainers its just theres aboslutely no atmosphere in the room, in our whole visit the most people we seen in the hall (which looks like it could hold about 200 guests) was 15 people (VERY empty), this coupled with the fact that a pint of beer is £3.45 and the glass is actually on 400ml means you dont really want to stay for long. i cannot comment on the lunch or the dinner on offer as we only went for B&B but i will say for me personally the breakfast was poor, there is a large variety of hams, bread and sweet dough such as; croissants, cakes and such and there is also a small cooked Continental stand which will satisfy your craving for full English or so i thought however the Sausages and Bacon let it down big time! the Sausages are Chorizo style which to me was not very appetizing first thing in the morning and the Bacon was a strange sort of processed meat with fat along it resembling streaky bacon, the eggs and beans are nice though! the Swimming pool is kept nice and clean, theres a segregated pool for children not very big but not alot of children used it while we were there, there is also enough sun beds for the amount of people who use them. The staff in the hotel are lovely and cannot do enough for you, i give special mention to the young lad with very short hair (didnt get his name) the young pretty girl that works on reception and was doing the morning breakfast greeting think her name was Denise but i may be wrong and the lady who works in the swiming pool bar. local shops and takeaways: i would recommend visiting the local Carrefour behind the hotel (less than 10 minute walk) for any alchol , sun cream or bottled drinks, takeaways in the area are poor all offering the same (Burger,Pizza,Ribs,Steak or Paella) there is a chinese buffet nearby but we decided against that due to very mixed reviews and an Indian restaurant nearby aswell but we also decided against that due to no transport and an half hour walk. if you're british i would suggest visting the New crown and anchor which can be found 15 minure walk away from the hotel Sirius. the beach is a 4 minute walk away, it is a bit annoying though being harrassed every 5 minutes by various sellers of handbags, shoals, shoes, massages and everything else. there is a local train station 10 minute walk away with trains to Barcelona which we decided to go on bare in mind there is no child option, anyone 4 and over has to pay adult fare which is just under 10 euro return, we did the Barcelona bus tour which was amazing and lasted the whole day! just remember train to Barcelona goes to your right as you look at the track as we got on the train that first came in thinking as theres only one line there must be only one way trains (theres not!) we had to hop off and hop back on later down the line! it can also get a bit confusing on the way back as theres not clear instruction on what train goes where but we managed it so i guess anyone can! the Spa is nice and relaxing although bit of a shame you have to pay for it, there is a medium sized Jacuzzi Spa a steam room and a Sauna, i DO NOT recommend you go in there if your a bit red after sitting in the sun all day it is not pleasant from my experience!! although it is relaxing if your not burnt! The hotel is on the main drag of Santa susanna and there are various stalls along during the night time which is nice to have a browse through but me and the wife mostly enjoyed the market on a Tuesday which takes about 10-30 minutes to walk through full of all sorts of stores very good for mementos and souvenirs REMEMBER TO HAGGLE!! we saved over 40 euros haggling down the price on various items such as genuine fake MK bags ;) im sure ive probably missed something out but hopefully others have covered what i havent! i would recommend hotel Sirius if you are looking at booking there just bare in mind the above if your looking for nightlife and really want to have a proper full english every morning. thanks for reading!
