arriving to the hotel me and the wife was a bit sceptical; as you arrive from the rear of the hotel by coach which is mostly car parks, unsightly buildings (Carrefour which was actually a blessing, more of that later) and burnt/dead grass. Looks a bit of a dump but don't let this put you off, as you approach the hotel you are greeted by nice shiny light coloured stone which features predominant in the hotel is kept nice and clean throughout and i thought looks quite classy. Check in nice and smooth, (dont forget to keep a key card in the white holder near your door else your lights/AC keep switching off). Bedrooms nice and clean with balcony (not very good view of neighbouring hotel) settling down for the night we were excited to hear there was a Flamenco show that first night so we got unpacked and headed downstairs for the show, now we were a bit dissapointed when we got down there and the theme continued for the whole week; the evenings entertainment is disappointing, its not necessarily down to the entertainers its just theres aboslutely no atmosphere in the room, in our whole visit the most people we seen in the hall (which looks like it could hold about 200 guests) was 15 people (VERY empty), this coupled with the fact that a pint of beer is £3.45 and the glass is actually on 400ml means you dont really want to stay for long. i cannot comment on the lunch or the dinner on offer as we only went for B&B but i will say for me personally the breakfast was poor, there is a large variety of hams, bread and sweet dough such as; croissants, cakes and such and there is also a small cooked Continental stand which will satisfy your craving for full English or so i thought however the Sausages and Bacon let it down big time! the Sausages are Chorizo style which to me was not very appetizing first thing in the morning and the Bacon was a strange sort of processed meat with fat along it resembling streaky bacon, the eggs and beans are nice though! the Swimming pool is kept nice and clean, theres a segregated pool for children not very big but not alot of children used it while we were there, there is also enough sun beds for the amount of people who use them. The staff in the hotel are lovely and cannot do enough for you, i give special mention to the young lad with very short hair (didnt get his name) the young pretty girl that works on reception and was doing the morning breakfast greeting think her name was Denise but i may be wrong and the lady who works in the swiming pool bar. local shops and takeaways: i would recommend visiting the local Carrefour behind the hotel (less than 10 minute walk) for any alchol , sun cream or bottled drinks, takeaways in the area are poor all offering the same (Burger,Pizza,Ribs,Steak or Paella) there is a chinese buffet nearby but we decided against that due to very mixed reviews and an Indian restaurant nearby aswell but we also decided against that due to no transport and an half hour walk. if you're british i would suggest visting the New crown and anchor which can be found 15 minure walk away from the hotel Sirius. the beach is a 4 minute walk away, it is a bit annoying though being harrassed every 5 minutes by various sellers of handbags, shoals, shoes, massages and everything else. there is a local train station 10 minute walk away with trains to Barcelona which we decided to go on bare in mind there is no child option, anyone 4 and over has to pay adult fare which is just under 10 euro return, we did the Barcelona bus tour which was amazing and lasted the whole day! just remember train to Barcelona goes to your right as you look at the track as we got on the train that first came in thinking as theres only one line there must be only one way trains (theres not!) we had to hop off and hop back on later down the line! it can also get a bit confusing on the way back as theres not clear instruction on what train goes where but we managed it so i guess anyone can! the Spa is nice and relaxing although bit of a shame you have to pay for it, there is a medium sized Jacuzzi Spa a steam room and a Sauna, i DO NOT recommend you go in there if your a bit red after sitting in the sun all day it is not pleasant from my experience!! although it is relaxing if your not burnt! The hotel is on the main drag of Santa susanna and there are various stalls along during the night time which is nice to have a browse through but me and the wife mostly enjoyed the market on a Tuesday which takes about 10-30 minutes to walk through full of all sorts of stores very good for mementos and souvenirs REMEMBER TO HAGGLE!! we saved over 40 euros haggling down the price on various items such as genuine fake MK bags ;) im sure ive probably missed something out but hopefully others have covered what i havent! i would recommend hotel Sirius if you are looking at booking there just bare in mind the above if your looking for nightlife and really want to have a proper full english every morning. thanks for reading! Our holiday was off to a poor start after our tour operator had not communicated with the hotel : sirius had no booking for us!! But fear not, the lovely ladies at the reception sorted every thing out and we ended up with a lovely room with balcony on the 5th floor! Hotel super clean, staff courteous and always helpful. Always buzzing in the bar on the evening, a good variety of food on the buffet and so close to local amenities (shops, restaurants, beach, station) an hour away from Barcelona on the train. Pool maintained to high standards. We recommend! Thanks! Collapse

Stayed here in April over the Easter holiday, it is a lovely clean well maintained hotel, the cleaners do a fantastic job of making sure your room is clean and replenished with fresh towels and toiletries. We stayed half board and arrived in the early hours of the morning, we arrived to our room to find some cold food left for us which was a really lovely gesture thank you. The rooms are a good size and very modern with lots of space to put your clothes, the beds are a little hard though. The food in the hotel is good but I think the English need to realise it is a Spanish hotel serving Spanish food so it isn't going to be to our taste, I did struggle finding something I liked to eat at breakfast as I am a fussy eater, I was quiet surprised to find where we're never any baked beans at breakfast as worse comes to worse beans on toast is always a winner for breakfast - my only advise would be serve beans for the English. Dinner was amazing always food plenty to eat, we would cut up bread and use balsamic vinegar and olive oil to have bread an oil as a starter then fill our plates with lots of selection of meat - always pork every night but always a different variety of pork plus other meats, always at least two different potatoes selections and lots of salad and some veg and rice. Deserts were lovely cakes and always ice cream available. We got the train to Barcelona one day and stayed over which was a great, the train was just down the road from the hotel and only 10 Euro return. We didn't spend much time in the pool at the hotel as with it being April it wasn't warm enough to dive into cold water, however some late afternoons we treated ourselves to a jacquzi and sauna which was lovely and relaxing and well worth 6 Euro. We found at this time of the year the hotel and resort itself to be full of Spanish people and of an older age, not many English people around if any. There is a great Dutch bar called kings up the road which is great if you are bored of the Spanish restaurants. Overall fantastic stay here and I would return, I am already looking for next Easter once the flights are released :) Collapse
