Staff was very friendly and location couldn't be any better! Rooms were clean and comfortable. Bed was amazingly comfortable!! The elevator system is a little bit tricky to figure out, took a couple of rides for us to know how to get to our floor.

This hotel is a good sleep. However on the first night I stayed here, myself and my partner ordered room service on our first night (because we arrived at 11pm US TIME). We ordered a burger, turkey sandwich and a bottle of water which to My dismay came to £90 which also had a £10 delivery charge lumped in (the delivery guy had the cheek to wait for a tip!). The food was cold and over priced. Because I ordered that a further £240 was taken from my credit card as a safety deposit in case I ordered anymore. Reception were helpful, wouldn'nt stay here again Collapse
Not worth the money we payed

Before I travelled to New York and booked this hotel I read a majority of the reviews, all quite positive about the hotel but all had one thing in common....the elevators or lifts as we call them in the UK I thought they can't be that bad!!!! Oh how wrong I was they're a complete nightmare so much so one particular day we waited for 30 minutes to come down from the 30th floor every lift that came to our floor was packed full of guests so much so that the group we were due to meet on the ground floor complained to the manager who sent someone up in the service lift to get us!!!!! I was in a group of 9 people only issues we had was at check in, they couldn't find all the names but to the hotels credit they did eventually sort it all out and we went on our merry way to try and use the lifts. (little hint you only type the first 2 numbers of your room number into the screens for the lifts, this is the floor number seems obvious but no one tells you that at check in) The hotel it's self is lovely, it is very busy and almost on top of Times Square so the roads and pavements are always busy. Our room was lovely, we had a room that was meant for a disabled member of our group but the room she was allocated suited her needs so we didn't need to change, the room was lovely and big, nice comfy beds and a lovely shower in the wet room, if you ever have a wet room expect it to get very wet even if you use the shower curtain, it still floods and we solved this by placing towels along the bottom of the shower curtain. I think our room was one that had been refurbished already as other members of our group on lower floors had said their rooms looked tired and shabby. The coffee provided in the rooms is Starbucks coffee, it is very tasty and a welcome caffeine hit in the mornings before you go exploring the wonderful city of New York. Check out is straight forward all you do is drop your room cards in the express check out box and any room charges are charged to your credit card on file from check in, if you prefer you can settle your bill in cash by seeing the main reception desk. All in all we had a good experience in the hotel with the exception of the lifts, luggage can be stored for $4 each, I find this quite reasonable and can't understand why people mean about it, maybe other hotels don't charge but so what I know my bags are safely left with a member of hotel staff. If you don't mind waiting for the lifts every time you go to or leave your room then this hotel is perfect. Collapse
