As a Starwood Platinum Guest, we planned a one night stay at this hotel before departing Montreal at the conclusion of our one and one-half week long summer vacation to the Province of Quebec for our family of four, including our two (2) young daughters (ages 8 and 10). The Sheraton Montreal Airport Hotel is less than 5 minutes to the airport (I walked to the airport without luggage in less than 15 minutes) and is served by frequent and continuous shuttle service (complimentary). Approximately ten (10) months prior to arrival for our stay using Starpoints, we emailed the General Manager, Kevin Gillespie, and advised him of our future stay as well as our multiple special requests for same. Mr. Gillespie promptly replied and was very positive about all of our special requests to make our stay so special. He also introduced us to Andreana Czurma, the Director of the VIP Club Lounge. Needless to say, we were delighted with such a response and really looked forward to our future stay at the Sheraton Montreal Airport Hotel. The Sheraton Montreal Airport did not disappoint! The check in process was a breeze and we quickly found ourselves in a massive Executive Suite [750 square feet] on the second floor overlooking the pool and gardens. Our Executive Suite was exactly as we had requested, including the additional mini-fridge as well as a number of unexpected gifts for our two (2) young daughters, including gourmet maple-flavored popcorn, almonds and sparkling water. They were delighted! Our two (2) room Executive Suite was very large and consisted of an private bedroom with a King-sized bed (incredibly comfortable), a full set of drawers, large desk, wall-mounted flat screen TV and a large closet (which included an in-room safe and mini-bar). The main bathroom was huge and included a massive and deep jetted bath tub and shower as well as two (2) sinks. The main portion of the Executive Suite consisted of a comfortable and convenient half-bath, a substantial pull-out sofa, two (2) end chairs, a coffee table, a desk, a coffee-maker and a massive wall-mounted flat screen TV. The housekeeping staff had made sure our suite had extra towels, bath products and several bottles of complimentary water as well as the necessary supplies for the coffee-maker. Every team member with whom we came in contact, including Mr. Gillespie [a native of Scotland with a wonderful accent] and Ms. Czurma as well as the front desk staff, VIP Club Lounge staff, house-keeping staff and bellmen, went out of their way to make all of us, especially our two (2) young daughters, feel welcomed. Our family enjoyed the VIP Club Lounge for the afternoon for Hors d'Oeuvres and complimentary alcoholic drinks [white wine, red wine and local beer] and non-alcoholic drinks [sparking water, still water, juices, sodas and coffee / tea]. For breakfast, we enjoyed the substantial selection of meats, cheeses, breads, fresh fruit, yogurts, cereal as well as the incredible cappuccinos and hot chocolate. Both in the morning and the afternoon, the service was top-notch with the friendly VIP Club Lounge staff. The VIP Club Lounge also had a nice selection of daily newspapers and two (2) computers (and printer) for the exclusive use by VIP Club Lounge guests. The fitness center was massive, clean and very well-equipped. The indoor / outdoor heated pool [two large garage doors are open in the summer to allow access to the outside ... these are clearly closed during the winter months] and hot tub were clean and well appointed. Our family really enjoyed a restful time at these facilities during our stay. The extraordinary customer service that we received before and during our stay made this property a ten out of ten in our book. Congratulations to the entire staff for our one (1) night stay at your wonderful property. Collapse

My bf and I weren't supposed to stay another night in montreal but our flight was cancelled and after hours and hours in the airport we finally found this Sheraton that had a rate for passengers with cancelled flights (Air Canada had provided us with a phone number to have a hotel room booked for a cheaper price but guess what? all booked). Anyway, I called Sheraton and through the phone they informed me the rate so we took the free shuttle and went there. I was so relieved! But that didn't last long- when we got to the reception, this guy assisted us, Alexandre (I think), and he was SO rude. First I said "hello, how are you? I just called and wasn't sure it was to you I spoke to.." etc and tried to explain our situation but he kept interrupting me and raising his voice. I was so tired I didn't even complain to him. He didn't want us to have that "special" rate, because it wasn't the airline that would be booking us or whatever, but thank goodness there was this other guy there (don't remember his name), and he said we were fine, we could have that rate. I had never been treated like that! He made me feel like I didn't know anything I was talking about. He shouldn't be dealing directly with customers/guests, he had a bad attitude. I feel bad for that hotel for having such an employee, and I'm in the hospitality industry! Breakfast wasn't included unfortunately. The room was ok, on the first floor (looked old). The heater kept making noises every 20 minutes or so, and I kept waking up because of it. But the bed was great, my bf slept like a baby. Collapse

I like to stay at Sheraton. The downtown one is convenient, yet was pretty run down when I last stayed there. I had never been in this one and was pleasantly surprised that it was modern, clean and neat. The room was spacious and clean. I also liked the buffet breakfast which was served until 11:30 am., where the servers were courteous and friendly. The front desk lady seemed to be a little bit on the edge, but when we asked for late checkout, she was nice about it. The location of the hotel is okay and is close to the newly developed residential areas and subdivisions. I had never been to this neighbourhood but did not mind it, since the neighbourhood is clean, compare to the tired downtown area I had been all the time. We stayed in this hotel for only one night and we left at about 1 pm to drive to Vermont. Overall I was happy with my stay. Collapse
