Booked the Sheraton through Destinology Travel - Chris Ford was a great help sorting out exactly what we wanted for the holiday. Adeje is a really nice area and only a 10 minute walk from Caleta which has some wonderful restaurants. We stayed on a B&B arrangement and the room was superb - large and well laid out with a decent sized bathroom and a balcony overlooking the pool. Breakfast was a buffet affair with freshly cooked eggs in every format you could wish for. We ate in the Spanish restaurant one evening and the food and service were excellent. Drinks were reasonable and entertainment was pleasant but finished around 10pm each night. All the staff were helpful and pleasant and nothing was too much for them. The only downside was a smell of drains from time to time around the reception area and the top pool - hopefully something they can sort out sooner rather than later. Collapse

Had a fabulous time over Christmas & New Year, after an initial issue with being allocated a twin room from my booking with Jet 2 holidays after requesting a double room, the manger couldn't have been more helpful and we moved into a double room on the second night with a super king bed, which was very comfortable. We had a room on the left side off the hotel facing the pool on the 2nd floor, if I returned I would request a room on the right hand side which gets the sun on the balcony. The food was excellent and always plenty of choice, unfortunately coffee was not available free of charge after your dinner and this would be a welcome addition to half board. Breakfast was varied and eggs cooked to order, omelette & poached eggs which was great.. fresh fruit and my favourite custard tarts were a treat to enjoy. The Japanese & Spanish resturants were a welcome change of dining and we dine there twice at each, although you have to book in advance as they are usually busy. The staff were all friendly and worked very hard to ensure guests were looked after. Slow service at the inside bar and drinks were expensive in the hotel, but plenty of bars nearby to visit. The New Year Gala night was the best party ever, with a super hero theme.. free champagne reception, canapés & wine was a lovely start to the evening. The band were fabulous and the disco was too! We spent the whole night on the dance floor, fireworks, and a lovely seated buffet, could not fault the food or experience. I would return to the hotel just for the New Year Party alone as it was the best ever! Staff were a credit to the hotel and worked very hard to set up and ensure all went to plan. Well done to the Sheraton La Caleta we had a fantastic holiday! Collapse

We booked a package via TUI for this hotel as our New Year holiday break. Lovely hotel in a so-so location on the seafront of South west Tenerife. Only a 25 minute taxi ride from Tenerife South Airport - so that's great. The hotel has a comfortable feel - not too austere in the modern sense but with a spacious reception / seating / bar area. Staff pretty busy, polite and a welcoming Mango juice while we waited for check in formalities to complete. We were allocated a nearby ground floor room (with a ready prepared extra bed for our son) Lovely large room with comfortable beds - not the best for views by any means, but I wasn't too surprised as we were on the TUI package and so you probably don't get allocated those unless you book with Sheraton direct. However all good with plenty of cupboard space and super big bathroom with separate shower and twin sinks. An excellently quiet Air con which we only slightly needed at this time of year. Usual soaps/gels etc. a small fridge with just complementary still water in. Free WiFi plus payable wifi for larger downloads at £3 per 3 hours. all worked well in most areas in an out. The usual freezing pools that look so inviting with a slightly warmed one close to the outside dining terrace. - a rather small (poolside) outside bar for drinks and snacks with an adjacent a la carte restaurant. All fine with a 'sign to your room' basis for drinks, which are Not included like some Thomson packages. (We spent about £200 in the week) - Again pleasantish staff - depending on busyness. Plenty of loungers with cushioning. We only used the breakfast and dinner buffets at this hotel (not the Spanish a la carte restaurant, as it wasn't part of our deal) but overall for one week that was fine and indeed our New Year's Eve Gala Dinner Buffet (with themed Superhero costumed staff! and Champagne) was really very good fun - with great fireworks too! We hired a car for a few days so we were not on site for lunch (Easy to hire with Avis electronic terminal in the retail area of the foyer) All the waiting and cleaning staff seemed very pleasant and responsive. Many thanks! Collapse
