I expect more out of a hotel of this caliber and price. This hotel could be exceptional if they put forth a little more effort. Cleanliness: Rooms need to be better attended to, they do not seem to vacuum under the beds or the furniture very often. Staff: Tried to pass off a smoking room as no-smoking. With the exception of a few stand outs most employees are indifferent. Restaurant: Food was average hotel fare and overpriced for the quality. Breakfast buffet is very good if included in your hotel rate. It is on the high end if your paying separate for it. The buffet has a mix of items and is well stocked, the fruit is past its prime. Pool: There are 2 pools here. Indoors and outdoors. The outdoor pool is a nice size. However it is not well kept. No clean towels in the afternoon and they did not clean up after people left (plates/glasses left on sides of chairs). The hours of the pool are 9-9. Taxi: TIP-much cheaper if you leave main entrance, turn right and walk through a small driveway, then a quick right to the main street...many folk hailing taxi's here...cost to go downtown 1-2 JD! On your way back to the hotel...I do not recommend saying your staying at the Sheraton or else you fee will be higher...simply state you want a taxi to circle 5 and you will be dropped off very close for much cheaper. I decided to try this hotel for a weekend whilst in Amman for 3 weeks on business. Check in was efficient and was told if I didn't like my room then I could change it which was just the case but the alternative was not much different. I was disappointed that although a Spire Elite member this (unlike some other top brand hotels) didn't allow access to the lounge. The hotel entrance and reception is very nice however the rooms are looking outdated even considering their cultural identity and could do with some refurbishment. Internet reception was very good and I was happy to see that unlike many hotels the additional ports on the TV are not blocked allowing me to use my own devices. Sound proofing is good. Breakfast was acceptable but the extortionate price would appear to quite rightly put most people off. There are a couple of good restaurants close by and within walking distance. Nice hotel but way overpriced and therefore poor value. Collapse

I will try to be as concise as possible and list some of my experiences and recommendations. 1. Upon check-in, I was recognized that I was an SPG gold member. The receptionist informed me I will be on the 5th floor as it is the SPG preferred floor (and that will be considered the "upgrade" that I will be getting for being a gold member). I asked what's special about the 5th floor, he didni't give any solid reasons. I asked him what view I'd be getting, he said a city view, as that is the "only" view they have. As he was checking me in, I overheard his colleague right beside me checking in 2 girls and gave them a "pool view", and they're not even SPG members. I didn't comment as I was tired and just wanted to go to my room. I reached my room and noticed my view was pretty bad. It really got to me at that point, as I know if I don't change my room now, I wont be bothered later. I called in the reception and specifically asked for a room change with a pool view. Ironically, the same guy who checked me in was the one who answered and was able to accommodate me to the 2nd floor with a pool view - surprise! I came to find out later that this receptionist is pretty new and he's not familiar with the rooms. "IF" that was the case, then a supervisor should be next to him at all times while checking in people, until he's competent enough. Bottom line, make sure you get a pool-view room. It's a nice touch. The room is decently sized, and the complimentary water bottles 2. I asked for an iPhone charger (as I misplaced mine) and was shocked to find out the hotel does not have one, but does have a Samsung charger. How can a hotel this size not have a basic iPhone charger is beyond me. 3. Massages - try to avoid it unless you really need one. The massage is done in a room on the 5th floor. Yes an actual sleeping room. There isn't a specific room designed for it. The whole massaging experience was just very sub par. The masseuse was OK, definitely not 5 star caliber. Only 25 and 45 mins are available (costing $50 and $70 respectively) 4. My iron had some black stains so when I was ironing my white shirt, the black stains came on it. Complained to them, and they took care of it promptly. 5. Pool is nice, good size, nice beds, not bad food. But the pool itself is extremely cold, as in uncomfortably cold. I tried to ask the waiter on duty why is that so. He said he'll check and get back to me - he never did. The pool remained cold during my whole stay for 3 nights. The weight lifting room is small, but has the necessary equipment. There's another room for cardio which has enough running machines. 6. Breakfast buffet is nice, at ~$35.There is a live station for eggs/omelettes, which is expected. I liked the touch where you can fill out a small paper on your table and hand it to you waiter so they can prepare the omelette for you. Overall an OK stay, most staff were friendly, some were dismissive (I won't mention names). Iva/Muna, please look at the points I have mentioned especially the fact your SPG members aren't honored as they are supposed to, or at least I wasn't. Collapse

Went to work in Amman Jordan for 2 months last year. Loved the placed. It was amazing. People were so friendly. I was able to walk where ever I wanted when ever I wanted. I found shop keepers very helpful. I stayed at the Sheraton Al habil . The staff were the best. Never had a problem while I was there. Wi-Fi through the hotel. Food was the best. Amazing breakfast. Weather was excellent except for 1 sand storm. That lasted 3 days. Had a day trip to Petra, amazing. We paid extra for a tour guide, you see so much. But get a donkey or cart back up as it takes it out of you due to the heat. Collapse
