I stayed at this hotel in January 2017. A week for business. Located 20 minutes walk from the railway station. 30 EUR taxi to Barcelona during the day, 40 EUR at night. Be aware that if you want to receive the invoice (especially at night) from the taxi, ask before leaving for your destination. Wi-Fi good. Swedish buffet breakfast very good. Helpful staff. Rooms very clean. The hotel provide the movement to / from the airport for free. A beer at the hotel bar cost 5 EUR! Many people accommodated for business. Very clean pool, sunbeds enough. Bicycles for rent (quite expensive though). Collapse
Great food, bad start

Called the hotel asking about the free shuttle, the girl from reception said it should be there in 10 - 15 minutes. 30 minutes later I called again, another reception girl answered the phone and said that the shuttle was at 40 of every hour, I explained that we called before and that wasn't what the previous colleague said. She rudely said that the shuttle is always at 40 - in the end, we got a taxi. The room was cold and the ac didn't do anything (even after setting it to 32 degrees). The room was equipped with two single beds that weren't really comfortable to sleep in, I could hear doors being open and slammed through most of the night as well, would be great to have better soundproof walls. The gym has a few things and a nice sauna and turkish bath, what really annoyed me was the fact that you need a 1 euro coin to use the lockers and that no slippers were given. The meal at the hotel was brilliant, the chestnut soup tasted great, the salmon cooked to the perfection and the tiramisu heavenly. The price was quite good as well (18 euros something for a 3 course meal). The internet worked without any issues and the lobby is pretty nice. If it wasn't for such an unpleasant experience with the shuttle I would rank this hotel higher. Collapse

My husband and I stayed here during our visit to Spain. Our room was on the top floor, clean and was tidied every day. The view we had was of the front and car park and the castle. The only issue we had was with the air condition, it was on cold and when we wanted to warm the room up a little it wouldn't work, we asked the cleaners but they must've misunderstood as they left it on cold. We didn't realised there would be no tea and coffee facilities in the room which is a shame as it meant we had to pay for it downstairs every morning and whenever we wanted to have a hot drink. We had lunch a few times in the hotel and it was very nice. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I really liked the pool area with the swinging chairs, it was really relaxing. Some nights we would relax down there until the lights were turned off. Collapse

We stayed at the hotel, part of our wedding anniversary celebration, acting as a base to visit Barcelona. The hotel is very close to the airport hence we chose this location as we had a very early morning flight to catch. The staff at reception were extremely helpful, guided us to save money by using the rail network rather than taxi. The nearest train station is around 10 -12 minutes’ walk and the bus stop is opposite the hotel which took us straight into Barcelona. The hotel is clean, room is very spacious, good air conditioning, nice bed and large toilet. The toiletries were complimentary (even after we forgot to pack a brush and paste). My only recommendation would be to show some English channels on TV as all channels were in Spanish. This might or might not be in hotel’s control nevertheless a recommendation. Opposite the hotel, there is Burger King, KFC and LIDL if you fancy any food or shopping however the food at the hotel is also very good. The only downside was the staff at the bar which had an altercation with my wife however this was more down to language barrier and everyone can have a bad day. We did not get a chance to visit the outdoor pool and health club however, whenever we visit Barcelona, we will definitely stay at this hotel. Collapse

Stayed at this hotel in September 2016 for 4 nights whilst on business. I took a taxi from the airport to the hotel and it cost approx €30 for a relatively short journey. The taxi driver didn't even drop me off at the door of the hotel. He stopped on the other side of a busy road and motioned that this was as far as he would go and left me to cross this busy road (with no pedestrian crossing), pulling my suitcase behind me. Needless to say he did not get a tip! On arrival I was pleasantly surprised by the spacious, comfy, light and airy lounge near reception. I thought this would be the standard of the rooms but I was mistaken. My room was incredibly basic although it was clean. It was dark and gloomy with dark wood furniture and dark wood on the walls. And I had absolutely no view. I overlooked another part of the hotel where the meeting rooms are situated. The meeting rooms windows are dark glass so it's difficult to see into them. This means you don't know if anyone is in them and how much they can see into your room. This led me to leaving the very outdated, grotty, netting style curtain closed all the time I was in my room. The beds are single beds pushed together to make a double and are not that comfy. The pillows are particularly uncomfortable. The room certainly wasn't relaxing and I was glad I didn't have to spend too much time in it. It seems like the dark and gloomy decor is limited to certain rooms as when I went to see one of my colleagues on another floor I was surprised to see she had a very white, bright and welcoming room. I did ask at reception if I could move rooms but was told by a particularly sullen and bad tempered female member of staff that they were fully booked. Although later that afternoon I found out one of my other colleagues had also asked to move rooms and was moved with no trouble. I had dinner in the bar one evening and the food was nice, if not slightly over priced. As our week long conference was being held in the hotel we had lunch there every day. There were lots of salads to choose from and the main dishes (fish, chicken, pork) etc changed every day which was nice as it meant you weren't eating the same thing every day. Various reviews on here mentioned difficulties with the WiFi but I didn't have problems with the WiFi during my stay. There's a large shopping centre 10 minutes walk from the hotel. There's some restaurants in the shopping centre but I would choose where you eat wisely as not all the restaurants are of good quality. There's also a Burger King and KFC right outside the hotel if you want to eat there. I didn't use the pool but the surrounding areas appeared clean and there are nice seating areas outside. This hotel was chosen by the organisers of the conference I was attending and was adequate for this purpose. If I was in Barcelona for a holiday I wouldn't choose this hotel to stay at. I would find somewhere a bit more central and of higher standard and quality. Collapse
