Krakow is a beautiful city and three nights were not enough to see all we would have liked. Trips to Auschwitz and the salt mines were excellent and provided by a company called Around Krakow. The Santi Hotel was not a traditional hotel as it was opened in 2013 after the conversion from a monastery. Our room was large and clean with a modern bathroom. Unfortunately our room was at the front of the hotel with the trams running right outside, they stopped overnight but started at 05.30 am which kept us awake. Breakfast was good with a wide selection of dishes. No bar or any other facilities - very much a bed and breakfast establishment. If you can get a room facing the back I would still recommend as the staff were lovely and the rooms were very comfortable. The hotel is very central and well within walking distance of the main square etc. Pod Baranem restaurant is the only one with a dedicated gluten free menu and as my husband is coeliac we ate there every evening. The food was excellent, and only a 7 to 10 minute walk from the hotel. Collapse

Stayed in hotel santi at the start of October with 3 friends for 3 nights. Hotel is very close to the old town square, great location very central. The hotel is lovely, with really nice helpful staff. Our room was at the front of the hotel, with regard to the tram noise it didn't bother us at all, the hotel provide free ear plugs. We booked one room for the 4 of us,but the room 204 was actually 2 rooms one with 3 beds and a bathroom and the other with a sofa bed, fridge, tv, seats, table and another loo. It was brilliant so much space for the for of us 4. The cellar bar is lovely and worth a visit. The breakfast was really tasty and a good choice. They also offer a cooked selection at no extra charge, pancakes, omelettes. I had both and they were very tasty. On one of our mornings we were heading on very early trip to auschwitz and asked if we could get something that we could take on the bus with us. I was very impressed we arrived down for breakfast and a full continental breakfast was on offer with freshly baked bread and coffee. Amazing service and nice friendly staff and chef. The receptionist organised all our trips which was very handy. I would definitely stay at thIs hotel again as the visit was a pleasure. Collapse

Stayed here for 3 nights, we arrived an hour early and was able to check into our rooms, we had a twin room very spacious with a sofa & 2 armchairs, small fridge tea, coffee and bottles of water. Bathroom was spotless with fresh clean towels, shampoo, shower caps & body lotion, shower was hot and powerful. Our twin beds only had 1 double quilt, so the 1st night myself & daughter kept waking up with each of us tugging for it, after speaking to reception the next morning requesting another quilt, this was swiftly dealt with and we no longer had a fight for a share of the 1 quilt. ( 2 beds should have 2 quilts not one.) The curtains did not fully fit the windows, so light was coming through from the street, our room 103 was on the front of the hotel so you did hear the trams, but once asleep they never bothered us at all. Our room included breakfast, you had a choice of cold meats, cheese, toast, croissants and yoghurts, tea, coffee Orange juice you could order hot food, but on our 2nd day this was not available. There is a bar but this was only open on some nights. Unfortunately we didn't get to try it. The hotel is a 5 min stroll to krakow old square, there is a bakery just across the road, made use of this for a packed lunch on our days out. The hotel arranged all of our trips, which was great and we paid on arrival, every member of staff very polite friendly and professional, and a credit to this hotel. Collapse

Have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Santi, a lovely traditional and interesting place to stay. The location is great, a very short walk to the Old Town Square. Our room was more of a junior suite, a very large bedroom and a separate area with a two seat sofa and two armchairs, a further armchair was located in the bedroom. My sister and I travelled with our cousin and her daughter so to have a 'lounge' area in our rooms was brilliant, as was the fridge in which we chilled our own drinks. Breakfast was included in the price of our stay, a cold buffet style of the usual cheese, meats etc, with various breads, also there is also the option of having hot food should you wish, the menu was quite varied. All the staff we encountered from reception to the ladies that make up the rooms were very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. Prior to our arrival we emailed the hotel regarding the various trips we wished to take, they booked them all on our behalf, much less effort for us, I can't praise them highly enough. Our two rooms were at the front so yes, we could hear the trams and if you are a light sleeper you may wish to request a quieter room at the back, however, they didn't cause any problem for us or disturb our sleep, in fact after an hour or two we really didn't notice them. We didn't make it to the bar so can't comment on that area of the hotel. All in all we had a brilliant stay at the Santi, and are now organising another trip in a few months to take our husbands. Thank you Hotel Santi for making our stay so good. 5 Star. Collapse

Hotel Santi is a lovely hotel with 'old world charm'. It a short 3-5 minutes walk from the Old Town Square. The room are delightful - we had a suite with a huge bedroom and a sitting room. My cousin's room was one large room but still with a seating (lounge) area. The room were very clean and traditionally furnished: they both retain original features which are highlighted and in a clever and shows how lovingly the hotel has been restored. The bathroom/shower rooms though in contrast are modern and contemporary. They are well provided with toiletries and shower caps etc. The breakfast buffet caters for every taste, from hams and cheeses, to cooked food that is prepared at your request. It's varied and very plentiful. The hotel could not be nicer of more helpful, from the reception staff to the lovely cleaning ladies and breakfast room staff. Our room was at the front and I had read reviews that the trams (which do run right outside the hotel) were noisy. I agree, you can hear them, but they did not affect me or my sleep at all, and I quite liked the sound. So if you are a super light sleeper, ask for a room at the back. I did not find them detrimental to my stay. I will definitely go back to this hotel and would highly reccommend it. Collapse
