Stayed for one night bed and breakfast. We requested a seaview room. We travelled down from Donegal town and the journey was roughly 20 minutes. We were made very welcome by the receptionist Caroline, who was really lovely. We were in room 327 which was a beautiful seaview room. The room was very clean and cosy with a good sized bathroom. We were served in the bar by Dave who again was very chatty and helpful. There was another barman serving who was also very friendly. We dined in the beautiful restaurant overlooking the beach. The food and service was ten out of ten. Delicious tasty food served by very nice staff who were very attentive. There was a beautiful fire in reception which we sat at after dinner which was very cosy. We slept very comfortably as we could hear the waves outside. Breakfast the next morning was all served to the table. It was honestly one of the nicest breakfasts I have been served in a hotel. You are looking at this beautiful beach and everything is brought to you. We walked on the beach in the afternoon for over one hour. Its miles and miles of sand. So beautiful. I felt so relaxed. Thank you Paul to you and your wonderful team. I will be in contact again as I can't wait to return. Hospitality at its very best. Collapse

A beautiful hotel with elegant and well kept furniture. An open fire greeted us at reception with comfortable sofas giving a cosy feel. Relaxing atmosphere in the bar for pre dinner drinks. Food was amazing at dinner with efficient service and again at breakfast with so much choice. Restaurant situated on the 1st floor with glass front gave great views. Our room was a deluxe double on the 3rd floor which gave us a great view of the beach. Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend. Collapse

On entry into the reception area we were created with a warm fire, receptionist was very informative, professional and very kind. Bedroom had a stunning view of the sea, very comfortable, warm, spacious and relaxing. Watch Ireland play ruby in the bar big screen, great atmostphere and buzz. Also there was another area showing the match too. I had a warm bowl of vegetable soup with fresh brown which suited me down to the ground as the day was cold. Great selection of whiskeys, beers and warm coffees. Served by a lovely guy and Charlotte in the bar, very attentive and friendly. Breakfast was fab, porridge, boiled eggs and again fresh brown bread and steaming tea. View was spectacular and therapeutic. Staff very professional and attentive to our needs. Had a full body massage with Brona, best ever I feel so refreshed and energised. Great buzz around on Sunday, lunch is fully booked and a day of sport is shown in the bar with rugby and the soccer. Will definitely be back for a longer stay, I highly recommend it for all. Thanks to Paul Diver, Charlotte, Brona, Gerry,Karla and all the staff you are a credit to the Hotel. Collapse

My cousin got married here on the 09/12/2016 and it was one of the nicest weddings I have even been to. The civil ceremony was beautiful and the atmosphere so relaxed and laid back and the wedding guests had the whole hotel to themselves. The rooms are fabulous with unbeatable undisturbed views of the Atlantic ocean , we went to bed that night listening to the waves outside our window and rose the next morning to sit and have our breakfast overlooking Rossnowlagh beach. Staff are excellent, food is superb. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. Thank you Sand House hotel!!! Collapse

We stayed with friends and had 3 rooms booked. Staff the night before changed so they could book more people into the hotel and gave us a room with 4 beds...one of which wasn't a proper bed! It was tough sharing a small bathroom with 4 girls in the room. Obviously this hotel just thought about making money rather than the happiness of their guests! Even though we had booked the rooms way in advance. So cheeky. On checking out the girl at the front desk was very rude and there was a long wait of people wanting to check out and they only had her taking her time at the desk. She told us to wait our turn but we had to run out to somewhere and asked could we leave our luggage and even pay and she said no pay when you get back. The other girls went to check out and the very rude woman at reception wouldn't let them leave because we hadn't. This was after her telling us to pay later. Such rude staff and a terrible hotel. In fact, worst hotel with the worst staff I have ever come across. On top of that the hotel and rooms weren't even clean. Will never be back to this hotel and would never recommend it to anyone. Prices were also ridiculous for what we got. Way too expensive. More like a 2 star hostel feel than a hotel. Collapse
