We have visited this hotel on many occasions but this time was special as my daughter was getting married in Lanzarote.Last year we were in this hotel in May and July and as I knew we were coming out in May this year and I requested rooms near each other to make it easier for the day of the wedding I spoke to people on both occasions but was disappointed when we arrived on the 4th of May 2017 we were allocated rooms unsuitable for the party so nobody had listened. That said we really like this hotel and are going back in 2 weeks and hopefully things will be better the all inclusive package is good value for money and you are within walking distance of many bars and restaurants. For me Evelyn is a star she looked after us really well. Collapse

Myself and a party of 12 stayed at this hotel from 11th May for 1 week. It is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. It was; Clean, Comfortable, Safe and Relaxing. The food and restaurant service was amazingly good. The bar service was second to none with the bar waiters seeming like old friends. The reception staff were all very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The pool and grounds were beautiful. The daytime entertainment guy was brilliant. The evening entertainment was fairly good but very amateurish. The short walk to shops bars etc is great, with nice walkways that are safe and even. We were all inclusive and was never refused anything. I cannot praise enough the way your hotel is run and the professionalism of your staff. Thank you all for a very nice break in the sun. We will be back as soon as possible. 1 negative is there are quite a few steps. Collapse
Clean, Comfortable and Good Value for money, but not for everyone

In Brief We found this hotel very clean, the staff very helpful and polite and with good amenities. The food is of a buffet style but good with a reasonable choice but not full restaurant standard. There are good facilities throughout the hotel with plenty to keep you occupied. The hotel is in need of an update and to some it would feel very dated, but we felt this was reflected in the price. The evening entertainment is not great and the cocktail bar does need a serious update. They have a good variety of drinks and it is comfortable, but it does feel a little like an old peoples home. Nothing that a few new tables and chairs and getting rid of the sofa setup wouldn't fix. The hotel did seem to attract the older generation, which did support a more relaxed and safe environment, but might not be what people want if they are after a bit more of a party holiday. In a little more detail. The food is buffet style, there is a good choice and you'd be ab;le to find something you like, but some days are better than others and it might of helped to have some sort of a menu to help decide whether you'd eat in or go out. Breakfast is fantastic however with a great choice and all very good. The rooms are clean and comfortable with air con, the decor could do with an update but its not a big thing The pools are very good and there are plenty of beds. They also have a no reserve policy which makes it fair. They have loads of activities through the day, with archery, rifle shooting, pool etc to keep you entertained and helps you meet some of the other guests. Its a great hotel for the price and we would visit again. Collapse

This was our 3rd visit in four years. We booked it straight after our holiday in May. So it was booked almost a year in advance we loved it so much. I am sorry to say this is not a 4* hotel and hasn't been for many years I would say however, in the past there was a great atmosphere, the warm pool, the great location right on the beach and lovely guests really did make up for the minus points, i.e. in desperate need of a refurbishment. This year on our arrival we were offered a totally unsuitable room after writing twice beforehand, as we have done in the past to explain our mobility problems, on our previous visits this was not an issue and appropriate rooms were allocated. They always seem to have some problems with the lifts when we are there. If you have mobility issues make sure you are in the main part of the building or you may have a long trek to your room with stairs to cope with also. Our problem was resolved quickly but only after traipsing to the original room and distressing my partner who was nearly collapsing; it did rather put a dampener on our arrival. This apart, for the first week of our visit we found the hotel to be totally lacking in atmosphere throughout, dull does not come into it, even the lovely Gianni, the only adult animations person they have and who has been there a very long time seemed to have lost some of his spark. The food was most certainly not up to standard, always been a bit 3* ish at best but it was barely 3* and very far off 4* this time Sunbeds - They still have the old type sunbeds (blue & white) in a bad state previously more like hammocks, they are being refurbished by a staff member, but we notice the new ones already starting to sag, they really should get the modern comfortable type. They are supposed to be refurbishing but nothing noticeable over the last 4 years, I believe some rooms have been done but these are at a supplement and it is pricey enough to start with. The hotel needs to close for 6 months and get a complete refurbishment bringing it into this century. I have to say, yes there are many returners but I now realise they are very much the older generation i.e. 80s. We are in our 60s/70s and in the main were quite young in comparison to many. There will be no next generation of returners if this hotel is not upgraded to match its 4* status and 4* price. Many hotels in this price range are far, far nicer and much better value. Someone in a previous review said mausoleum, well this time I have to agree. The entertainment was quite bad and when a decent act was advertised it changed last minute for some rubbish act. There is no music playing anywhere in the daytime except when aqua is on in the pool and on a very rare occasion we did hear some very quiet music behind the pool bar but only for a few minutes, so there is music available, it is probably not allowed. The new generation of oldies like a bit of background music. The staff, we found them still to be ok some better than others. Reception were always helpful as were most of the bar staff, Evelyn and Claire in particular, very nice girls. I am sorry to say we will not be returning again to this hotel again unless it has a complete refurbishment and is brought into this century. We expect a reasonable standard for the money we pay, it is not cheap, and it is now not acceptable to us. I can no longer recommend it to friends and family and readers of TA as I have done in the past. We were very disappointed. The good points for us are the heated walk in pool directly on the beach and location of the dining room, pool and pool bar. Idea when you have mobility problems so could be an excellent hotel but desperately needs money spending on it. Collapse
