My friend I had a good stay but the free WIFI was only in the hotel reception area and even that didn't work well. The hotel reception staff were very rude and not helpful the maids, porter and bar staff and restaurant staff were lovely the room was very clean. When we arrived late as flight delayed they put on a cold Buffett with a bottle of water. When we went for meals at lunch and dinner they asked if we wanted anything to drink we said bottle water it wasn't till the third day we realised we were paying for water. We were full board. We went to reception we asked why we were paying for water as we had it free the first night they said we charge for water because it's the best I said it tasted awful. We paid up it cost us 18 euros we never ordered water again from restaurant but from the pool bar it was a lot cheaper. They should have informed us before we ordered we have to pay for water. They have a lot of rules. We couldn't get any information from reception we had to ask guests for information. The entertainment was brilliant. Beach walk straight on from Hotel. Good food was great a lot of variety. Not allowed to take fruit from restaurant to eat at pool bar I got told off for that and as a diabetic I have to have snacks to keep my blood sugar up. Not good. We still had a good holiday though. Collapse

An established hotel with many guests who return each year. They provide a great service- lovely good sized room and bathroom, everything kept very clean, a good choice of food and very friendly helpful staff. The position is lovely right at a small beach and close to Puerto del Carmen. There is also a regular bus service for 1 .40 E for anyone who does not want to walk the whole promenade to reach the harbour although the walk is lovely and you can easily stop along the way for refreshment or shopping. The only thing I felt that could be improved is the service for disabled people or those with mobility difficulties. While the hotel has already made efforts with an old building they could still add more ramps as there are steps in places. Also a hoist at one of the pools would be a great help for people to access the water. Thank you to all the staff for a very enjoyable holiday. Collapse

This was our 10 visit to the San Antonio and already looking forward to next year looking at other reviews yes it is in areas shabby and in need of attention but very clean overall with large menu choice for breakfast and evening meals it's on the beach and only 5 mins from main strip the bar shuts down early and from midnight on its very quite makes a perfect holiday destination for family. The staff here are excellent and most have been here for last 10 years that's alway a good sign. The hotel lay on plenty of games during the day this is run by Gianni always in great form and smile to young and old he really is great ambassador for hotel and lanzarote they also have kids club each day plenty of activities and games. My only problem is for WiFi you have to go to lobby or pool area for god connection but that's not a bad thing after all your on holidays. So I agree in need of attention but overall experience as always 10/10 Collapse

Just returned from 10 days with my wife and 2 kids (15 and 11) at the Vik San Antonio. Decoratively, the hotel is a little tired and dated. However, the staff have done the very best they can with what they have. Everything was clean and tidy. The evening entertainment was good. The day time entertainment was good for adults and teens, but I heard other guests say the mini club was not the best (I can't speak from experience though). The food was of a good quality and quite varied which was a relief. The rooms were small but well put together. The hotel was right on the sandy beach, rock pools to the front but a shelving sandy beach 100 meters to the left. (Sun beds on the beach are council run and there is a daily charge). The many shops, bars and restaurants were a short 3 minute walk to the left as you leave the hotel, so perfect if you want to be amongst the busy resort life when you want it and for quiet evenings at the hotel and sound sleep at bed time. All staff friendly and helpful. The only negative being that our room was not available for 2 days on arrival so we were in a temporary room until a better 'upgraded' room was available and we were gifted free safe, fridge and tea service for the inconvenience (you have to pay for these services otherwise). All in all, I would recommend this hotel and resort; it does exactly what it says on the tin. But if you are reading this VIK, some investment in the aesthetics of this property are required if you want to keep the 4 stars your staff work so hard to maintain. Collapse

Just home from 10 days in the Vik San Antonio Hotel, this was my third time there, the last time being 4 years ago. The Holiday was to celebrate my wife's birthday and brought our daughter, son in law, and 4 year old grandson with us. The previous visits had been great and really good holidays with good memories. This visit however was a big disappointment, the hotel has become really run down a nd shabby. The little kids pool is actually crumbling apart and kids where collecting the loss tiles in buckets. On one occasion one of the kids grabbed the surround of one of the pool lights and pulled it away from the side of the pool which floated to the surface completed with the wires still attached and exposed in the water. We reported this at reception as pool lifeguards were as usual not to be seen, half an hour later still no response, so my son in law took a photo and threatened reception that it would go on the internet if they didn't sort it immediately, the repair guy turned up 5 minutes later. But the pool is still crumbling away and likely another child will grab this light and pull it out again as the hole is still there. Next big issue is the food choice is not as good as before and virtually no provision for children, especially at dinner. I'm sorry but sadly this disappointing shabby hotel is now off our list for future holidays Collapse
