Plenty to do for everybody. This was a lads weekend so we spent most of the time in the bars but have been to Magaluf a few times before and have enjoyed lots of walking, beaches, bars, restaurants, trips to Palma and other parts of the island. Excellent for short breaks or longer depending what you want to get out of it. We spent a lot of time at Legends Bar which is just across the road and down a bit on the right hand side from BCM's. Dave and Anita are very welcoming and drinks are a very decent price (2 euros for beer & lager) compared to the strip prices. Plus all those reps trying to drag you in to their bars on the strip just do my head in!! Poonams Indian Restaurant at the top of the strip was good also. Collapse

Came here with some friends in October & wasnt disappointed. Our quadruple room was easily large enough for 4 people with adequate hanging space & a good size balcony. We stayed all inclusive and found it to be great value. The food is fresh, well stocked, regularly replenished, delicious and has good variation. The drinks selection too is good and there is an option to upgrade to all inclusive gold which gives you access to labelled drinks compared to local brands. Having stayed here previously I already knew that the hotel is in a great central location and even though we visited in October Magaluf was still busy enough and quite warm still as well. If you're after a nice clean, safe hotel with good food and drink and centrally located then this is the place to come. I will defo be returning again in the future. I previously rated this as 5 star and am only rating 4 stars this time because we paid for 4 days all inclusive & lost a day as we were delayed by 24 hrs at home stranded due to storm Ophelia so didn't get our full moneys worth. We did ask if they would upgrade us to all inclusive gold to compensate for the lost day which we had paid for and didn't receive but alas the staff didn't seem too bothered about their loyal returning customers. Hotel Samos one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed in. Very friendly staff, comfortable rooms and a lovely pool area. Food was good and always a good variety to choose from. O my complaint I had was that the labels for the food were not always present. We stayed there for 4 days at half term at the end of Oct 2017 and were lucky enough to have lovely sunny weather. Would recommend this hotel. Collapse

We usually stay just along the coast in Palma Nova but the budget didn't run to our usual hotel there. Was a little bit concerned about staying in the centre Magaluf but Hotel Samos came in at a great deal and reviews were so positive we thought we'd give it a go. If I am honest the reviews worried me as well as I wondered if the hotel could live up to them but I need not have feared! Hotel Samos is a bright modern hotel that has obviously undergone some serious renovations. Its spotlessly clean, the rooms are really nice and the pool area is lovely. I have never seen so many new and vacant sunbeds! Staff are universally friendly and helpful especially housekeeping and the quirky but fabulous bar staff! The food is the best AI buffet food I have ever eaten, hot, good quality and plenty of choice. The pizza particularly deserves a mention-made in clear view in the restaurant fresh each meal time. We went off season so Magaluf was all but deserted which suited us fine as we were there to relax and chill not party but there were plenty of shops and bars still open in the day time but we pretty much stayed at our pool bar. All in all an excellent stay and we'll definitely be back! Collapse

We arrived at about midnight and were quickly booked into our rooms. The hotel appears very modern in all areas and the rooms were spotlessly clean and again well decorated. This hotel was picked for its central location and is within a few minutes walk to the Magaluf strip and not too far if you fancy a walk into Palmanova. It is also enough of a distance away from the nightlife to ensure a good nights sleep. I traveled with 4 friends and we had a great time. Most of the other guests appeared to be there for the nightlife too and as such there were no children when we were there in September. There were activities around the pool during the day but again these were adult based and not suitable for children. Maybe it would be different at other times of the year. We all missed the breakfast on the first morning but I did make it for the second morning. Food was standard English breakfast items as well as cereals but the bread was fresh and once again the whole place was spotless. There was the option to pay for lunch or evening meals as well as i believe you could upgrade to all inclusive but we did not do that. As a no nonsense, modern, well located and spotless hotel the Samos delivers and I would recommend it if you need a good base that is close to the action. Collapse

Having booked our holiday through a holiday company (Teletext), a group of 37 people arrived at Hotel Samos at 3pm to check in. However, upon arrival, we were informed that the hotel did not accept children (on their FAQ page.. this could probably be made more clear?) so we proceeded to ring the company that booked this hotel for us (there were 9 children in the party). We sat in the hotel lobby whilst trying to sort this issue out. In the mean time, we asked if we could check in the rooms that only had adults in, to allow some people to rest (we also had elderly people in our party), to which the request was refused. We were confused as we had already paid for these rooms but were told quite rudely we were not allowed to check in. We tried to explain the situation to them, that we had been travelling since 5am but the rudest receptionist Andreu [-] would just make sarcastic comments and walk away from us every time. We asked for the manager who also did nothing. At 8pm we asked if we could have dinner (included in the price of our rooms) which was also denied. We were told as we were not checked in, we would have to pay. So we asked if we could check in and again they said no. By the time we managed to find other hotels for the children, 17 of us were ready to check in at 10pm. They then turned around and told us our company had cancelled our booking, but did not have any documented proof of this and refused to tell us anything apart from "your booking has been cancelled". Even then, they would not let us book any rooms on the spot and said they had "no rooms" available and again, walked away. After all this frustration, we finally checked in at 11pm (apparently they DID have rooms...) after 8 hours of arriving. Although the primary reason for this was not their fault, they were the most despicable, unsympathetic and rude staff I have ever encountered. The worst experience of my life. Collapse
