This is a part of the Najeti chain. The company would do well to reconsider the hotel's approach to guests. Hotel du Golf has existed for about a decade. Its facilities are modern and the setting is beautiful. However when we arrived and were assigned to our room, after a few minutes all the power went off - no TV, no electricity, and no prospect of fixing things. When we asked for another room (we had to insist) we were shown one with an inferior aspect. After much heavy pressing on our part they managed to "discover" another room, which was satisfactory, with electricity working. Breakfast the following morning was a buffet affair, costing 16 Euros per person, which seems high for what was provided. At least it offered the advertised warm food. Next morning however things fell apart. No warm food on the buffet. When we raised the issue, they offered to prepare something. We asked for oeufs au plat, which anywhere else would be bacon and eggs. What arrived was a mess of very wet scrambled egg accompanied by two tired pieces of under-cooked ham. So, to keep it simple, we asked instead for 5-minute boiled eggs (oeufs bouillis - cinq minutes). After a long wait the eggs arrived, and turned out to be virtually raw and quite inedible. We left the breakfast room, and decided that a hotel that couldn't boil an egg didn't merit our patronage. So we checked out. Our lasting impression is that the hotel is more interested in the golf course that it offers than in looking after the general interests of its guests. By comparison with other hotels in the area, service was cold and unenterprising. The one exception was the clubhouse where simple midday meals are served. Staff there were efficient and pleasant. We noticed that for long periods there was no-one at the hotel's main reception desk. When people were at the desk, there was no name recognition of guests - and no apparent attempt to do so. Altogether a disheartening sojourn. Collapse

The rooms themselves are quite nice but after finding a staple (Yes you read it right a staple) in one of our meals during our stay I have to give them a poor review, not actually for the staple itself but for the unsympathetic approach of the managerial staff that wasn't even available until the last day of our stay. Breakfast was below par (excuse the pun) and had few staff available those that were seemed rushed off their feet. Do not plan on staying again Collapse
Great if you are travelling with your four legged friends

We stopped over here on our way back to Calais with our 2 dogs. Lots of places say they're dog friendly when they actually mean they accept dogs. This hotel is dog 'friendly', we and our dogs were welcomed by all the staff. Dog bowls were provided in the room, although they must have been expecting a couple of lap dogs as they were so tiny our boxers couldn't get their noses in but the thought was there. The forest on the doorstep is great for a paw stretch. The room was a good size, well equipped, clean and the bed was really comfortable. We had a good meal in the restaurant, its not cheap but not overpriced either. Collapse
Good for golf but overpriced for stopover. Bar so expensive. Food ok not great.

We stayed here for one night, a dreary sunday in September, there appeared to be so few other guests I could not understand why we were allocated a dismal cold room overlooking the car park and a very weedy flat roof. No nice sunny views of the surrounding countryside for us.... why. No tea and coffee making in the room, so we headed to the bar area which is comfortable and pleasant. We ate in the restaurant as we couldn't be bothered to head back to St Omer where there are countless excellent restaurants. The food was Ok no complaints very usual hotel restaurant fayre. We do not play golf, I am guessing that is the main reason why most guests stay here it looked very nice but I really wouldn't know. As a stopover, we chose this as a change from the St Omer hotels which can be pretty basic we've stayed in virtually all of them over the years, I think the room price which didn't include breakfast was appealing but when you add breakfast, the meal and drinks (one beer one bottle of wine 2 coffees) added 180 euros to our bill. Not good value in my opinion. There is better and more reasonable food to be found in town. I wanted a room with a nice view because the scenery there is great but in order to get that again you have to pay, along with fees for towels and slippers for the spa. It's all about racking your bill. Collapse
Excellent place for stopover
