Where do i even begin! Back in April 2017 i visited this property with my boyfriend for the coachella weekend. had a horrible stay, wrote a tripadvisor/yelp review on this property and was reached out by Josh Brown (general manager) He offered us a complimentary 2 night stay to come back and have a better experience (ALL THIS AS LONG AS I TOOK DOWN THE REVIEW OFF OF TRIPADVISOR/YELP) We agreed to this and decided to give this property a second chance. made our reservation for July 14-16th. When making the reservation i spoke to both Peter (manager) and Alecia (front office manager) i asked for a 2 bedroom suite. they said they would charge me $50 extra a night for the upgrade but they were only able to acommodate me in the 2 bedroom suite for the 1st night. (ROOM 144) on the second night i was supposed to be booked for a 1 bedroom suite (ROOM 142 according to them) i said FINE, lets give this a shot. invited my dad and a friend for his birthday. Upon arrival on Friday July 14th at 3pm (check-in time) the room was not READY, and we were asked to wait 1 hour. On top of that, the room for the second night was not a 1 bedroom suite, but a regular room with 2 beds. already starting off horrible because not only was the room not ready but for the 2nd night, the room was not the one i was told i was going to be getting! i then call Alecia (front office manager) and she was "in a meeting" i had to wait until 4pm to be able to get a hold of her. She went on to tell me that there was nothing they could do for me as they were almost fully committed. and HOW WAS THIS MY PROBLEM? considering that they had been the one to make the room mistake? i then asked her to give me 2 regular rooms instead of the suites as long as they were next to each other. she was able to then find these rooms for me (ROOM 134 AND 135) they did not have conjoining doors and on top of that she said she was going to charge me for the 2nd room at a friends/family discount of $99 a night plus taxes. it didnt make sense to me because the 2 bedroom suite by itself a night was much more expensive than the 2 regular rooms. she went on and said that my 2 night certificate was not a monetary value. at this point, i agreed to pay the extra $200+ for the extra room because my dad and friend were about to arrive to the property. the rooms were fine....AT FIRST. on Saturday morning my boyfriend and i wake up in A BROKEN BED. We had literally been sinking into the bed the whole night. (ROOM 135) What is worse is that my guest woke up to a DEAD ROACH in the middle of their ROOM (ROOM 134) - picture is attached to this review. i was mad but most of all EMBARRASSED with my guests. i call front desk to inform them and they said they apologize but they couldnt move us to any other rooms and they had the audacity to MENTION THAT EVERYTHING WAS COMPED. i then asked for them to just send housekeeping immediately to ROOM 134. I asked my guests to move to our room in the meantime. Shower, change, have BREAKFAST. (We ordered breakfast. 2 potato and chorizo burritos, 2 cafe con leches, and 1 avocado toast. 45 minutes later then food came but only to have to call in room dining to bring us a second order of avocado toast because the bread was burnt- picture will be attached as well) HOUSEKEEPING never showed to ROOM 134 but we sure had to grab the attention of one of the housekeepers on the 2nd floor who was WASHING AND THROWING WATER OFF THE BALCONY AND ONTO OURS! we ended up leaving the property for about 3 hours to go to Pinocchios. Came back, housekeeping was barely being done in both rooms and the AC In my guests room (room134) was not working at all. at this point, i wanted to leave the property so bad . called front desk to tell them about the problem. the gentlemen that came to the room said it would take 3-4 hours for them to fix the AC unit. all meanwhile it was about 113 degrees on this day (saturday) That is when i reached out to Peter and explained to him that how could it be possible that so many things were going wrong. He then went ahead and took off the charges for the 2nd room (room134) we ended up staying most of the time in ROOM 135 until about 7pm that the workers were able to finish fixing the AC problem. meanwhile we were at the point. no problem with the pool other than the whole pool feeling like a jacuzzi. Met some new people that were staying in the property. NONE of which had anything nice to say about the ROOM or THE STAFF On Sunday, our check out date. We got up at 10am. i attempted to order breakfast again ( 2 chorizo and potato burritos and 2 avocado toast) They told me 45minutes to an hour. at 11:15am I called to see where my breakfast order was and they told me that the order was NEVER inputted -_-. and they went on to tell me that if i wanted to wait, it was going to be another 30 minutes! i was LIVID! i cancelled the order and since we had an ONLY FOOD CREDIT for this day, we went to ROCCOS ELECTRIC restaurant in the property (We were finally able to eat the food that we had initially ordered in the room. The server was attentive and nice) WE EXPERIENCED OUR VERY LAST CHECK-OUT AT THE SAGUARO PALMS SPRINGS AND WILL NEVER RETURN. the room is still a motel 6 playing dress up and most of the staff is incompetent and unfriendly. it is SUCH a shame because the property itself has all the potential in the world. i tried giving it a second chance because it's in one of my favorite cities and because the colors of the hotel are pretty cool but that was about IT! always think twice before giving in to the cheaper prices/pretty pictures that they advertise on their or 3rd party booking websites. Spend the extra $25-$50 for a nice property! oh and btw if you ever stay in the 1st floor (ground floor) be prepared to have to walk up to the second floor for an ice machine. lastly, all the charges that they initially pre authorized such as the $50 upgrade fee, the 2nd room charges +taxes+resort fees, incidentals fees, room/breakfast fees ...which are all to fall off per my conversation with front desk this morning will take 3-5 business days! OF WHICH SOME OF THE CHARGES ARENT EVEN OURS!!! i REPEAT, THIS WAS MY VERY LAST CHECK OUT AT THE SAGUARO. MY GUESTS WHO ARE FROM LOS ANGELES AND SAN DIEGO KNOW BETTER THAN TO COME BACK HERE AS WELL AS INFORMING ALL OF OUR NETWORKS. AND NO I REFUSE TO TAKE THIS REVIEW DOWN BECAUSE THAT IS EXACTLY THE REASON WHY THIS PROPERTY HAS MOSTLY POSITIVE REVIEWS. Collapse

This hotel is a multi-coloured modernist masterpiece set around a pool- the rooms are great clean with comfy beds and a balcony. It’s a pretty cool place to stay and soak up the desert rays during the weekdays... but on weekends it turns into party central and the pool resembles a drunken mosh pit with guests knocking back lots of alcohol and the odd recreational substance. The outcome was a noisy party, no towels, no room by the pool by 10am and a large pool of vomit outside my door the next morning! While this may not be entirely the hotels fault- the policy of welcoming outside guests in and then charging the paying customers a $30USD resort fee per day is questionable! Say here as the hotel is great…..but maybe avoid the weekend if you don’t want to party Collapse

Stayed here with my friends for my bachelorette party. Booked 5 rooms for 2 nights with 13 girls. We spent a lot of money here before we even arrived- each room ranging over $700 for the weekend. They messed up my room, my bridal party had to handle it for me. -Front desk staff was completely incompetent other than Chloe who finally fixed it. -Pool was great, the food was good but super expensive- we spent a ton more money here. -rooms are good. Spacious and clean. -Went to the spa: don't get the Aloe wrap- it's weird and overpriced. He only put the gel on my legs and arms and wrapped me in a space blanket and I sat there for an hour. Just get a regular massage. -Matt, the reservations supervisor takes days to return calls- if you need anything special don't bother. -I tried to reach out and give feedback 3 times- I haven't heard back from ANYONE. I even tried instagram but to no avail. So many unanswered phone calls and emails it's a shame. Wish I had chosen another hotel as there are PLENTY. Go to the Ace or Waldorf if you want real service. If you just want to party and to blow an extremely large amount of money go to the Saguaro. Never again. Collapse

A very nice large, clean and comfortable room, excellent bed, thank goodness for the air con, was it hot when we were staying here for an enjoyable 2 night stay up to 109'f. Free Wifi and lots of parking available at this large Hotel, no breakfast included in the room rate but there are lots of places to go out to eat down town which isn't to far away. Colourful is one way to describe the decor here, lovely outdoor pool area if you can stand the heat, Pleasant and helpful staff, very pleasant stay here and well worth checking this one out. Collapse
