If I could give 0 stars I would. Worst hotel experience I've ever had. I have never complained about any hotel I've ever stayed at but this hotel was terrible. We had a group of 6 girls and simply wanted to enjoy our time at the pool. In a few hours we rounded up a couple shots and a round of beers, plus food and when I went to reorder the bartender said we were "unfit to serve". We were all completely in control and in no way acting disorderly. I then asked to speak to the manager who repeatedly called me "ma'm" and told me our bill was too high. I have never been told "sorry you can't buy any more drinks because your bill is too high". She was extremely aggressive and rude and everyone in the pool and surrounding bar area was shocked they wouldn't serve us. We had music playing (because there was no music at the pool) which the manager asked us to turn down which was fine. Multiple people in the pool asked us to turn it up and the following day also asked us to play our music instead of the dj. When we asked for pool towels the towel girl said how many? and my friend replied 6. She said, "Whaaat there's 6 of you?!" and my friend says yes we're all right here. I spoke to the front desk manager George on Friday letting him know we weren't trying to make a fuss but how we were being treated was not right nor justified. He said he would credit our room and give us a call that night with the final amount but we never received a call. On Sunday at checkout, they said there was a $34 charge from the pool to our room which was incorrect (someone else charged and signed to our room) and then they said there was no credit. So again I asked to speak to the front desk manager and he said he would credit $30 for our troubles. He said from George's notes and the pool manger Michelle's report they couldn't do anything else. I said what did they say, what was their report? And he said he couldn't tell me because of nondisclosure. You can't tell me about what he reported from my report?? That seems crazy! The manager said he was the customer experience manager and I said it's your job to make sure the customer is treated fairly and he said we could take our business elsewhere. They weren't able to find our itemized bills from the pool so all in all we were treated extremely poorly by all staff and then the manager still could care less about making amends. WORST HOTEL and I will never stay again and would highly advise against anyone else staying here regardless of price. Motel 6 would be an upgrade from the Saguaro. Collapse

This used to be a family oriented hotel but it has completely changed to be a party pool extreme party. On Saturday night we wanted to go for a swim after the loud party from 12noon-6pm and people were smoking cigarettes in the pool, drinking from bottles and screaming and shouting at the top of their lungs. Not a security person in site. Bar had closed and with that all security disappeared. Rooms are getting old, hallway very dirty, an at midnight the alarm went out for over an hour and no one could turn it off. They said it had been tripped by one of the guests. By 10 pm there were so many drunk people at the hotel, we were surprised no one else got hurt. Used to like coming here but they closed the restaurant in evenings and the rest of the atmosphere has completely change. Very disappointing and will not be back sad to say. Collapse

I've never seen a hotel that was so terribly maintained. In a staircase close to the lobby, I came across a broken ping pong table disintegrating just outside the 3rd-floor rooms. Due to some cobwebs, it looked like it had been there quite a while. This was not only a safety concern, it was completely insane that the staff had walked by this without actually walking it down to the trash. In addition, the purple carpet on the 3rd floor, the white walls in every area of the hotel, an orange elevator (in the green tower? I think), and the bathroom faucet in our room (312), were all in need of major repair to reach the standards of other hotels like the new Holiday Inn in the area. There were holes and stains everywhere. I come from a Hotel background so I may just be more in tuned to cosmetic standards, but someone should really re-paint or at least scrub down the walls. Black stains and dirt are not cute. Honestly, all of these maintenance problems just show how little management care. The front desk staff was not pleasant at check in or check out. The resort fee is $30 + tax, the tax part was a little thing they forgot to mention when I booked on Hotel Tonight. Plus, they wouldn't let us check in without paying an extra $20 to "upgrade" to a pool view - which you couldn't see the pool from due to the bar's shade cover. Note: This is a party hotel on the weekends and we were completely fine with the fun pool party. We had okay service at the pool, except when it was pretty busy. The drinks were okay - both in price and taste. However, note there is a DJ playing from 12-6 PM LOUDLY. We were tried from the pool and went up to our room to take a nap. It sounded like the house music was playing into our room. While fun, the volume didn't need to be nearly that high for 6 HOURS. Plus, the variety of the music was lacking. All in all, we will likely stay at The Ace Hotel next time around. It would have only ended up being about 20-30 more with all of the random "fees" the Saguaro landed us with. Plus, we walked around their hotel for dinner on Saturday night and it was impeccably maintained. I really hope the Saguaro spends the money to clean and maintain their resort in the future. No one should have to walk around a broken ping pong table in a stairway while paying $250+ a night. Collapse
