- 24 December 2017 - Arrive to a warm welcome full of festive cheer where the fire will be glowing. A Christmas Afternoon Tea with mulled wine will be on offer in our Lake View lounge, giving you the chance to relax after your journey. The evening will commence with canapes and fizz in our bar and lounges followed by a delicious dinner served in the restaurant accompanied by the sounds of the local Amabile Choir serenading you at the beginning of your meal. Carriages will be waiting for anyone wishing to attend an evening service, with a warming midnight hot chocolate and cookies served upon your return.
25 December 2017 - After checking your stockings to see if you've been visited by the big man in red, we'll be serving a full Lakeland breakfast with Buck's Fizz overlooking the lake. The rest of the morning can be enjoyed at a slow pace, maybe taking a walk around our gardens or opening the rest of your presents. Our 4 course Christmas Lunch will then be served complete with traditional trimmings and festive cheer! We'll reconvene in the evening for an informal buffet supper, and finish the night with a film accompanied by popcorn, ice cream and nostalgic sweet treats.
26 December 2017 - After a hearty breakfast, Boxing Day morning is yours to do as you please, but prepare yourself for a light lunch served before going out on our very own cruise, Miss Cumbria, departing from Bowness Pier. Upon your return the fire will be glowing and hot drinks brewing for anyone who wishes to curl up and listen to the sounds of the Lakeland Handbell Ringers who will be playing. A sumptuous dinner will be served in the restaurant following canapes in the lounge or bar. To round off the evening you can try your luck at the casino tables in the lounge.
27 December 2017 - A leisurely breakfast will be served before we wish you fare well for another year and a safe journey home.
Lying in a leafy clearing above the shores of one of Britain’s most iconic lakes sits The Ryebeck. A beautiful, peaceful and unpretentious country house, The Ryebeck is a place to kick back, relax and enjoy the informal friendly, home from home atmosphere.
Standard Bedrooms, which are, with two exceptions, situated in the main hotel. Because of the age and layout of such an old House they are the snuggest of our bedrooms with very limited views of the grounds. We have three Cosy Bedrooms, situated on either the first or the second floor. These are lovely quiet rooms, which benefit from a partial view of the grounds. Jolly Good rooms are on the ground floor with their own secluded patio area. Our Superb Bedrooms are situated either on the ground floor with their own private patios or upstairs with views over the grounds. These rooms are slightly larger than the other rooms and have either a large walk in shower or bath with shower over. Grand Rooms we named after the local Cumbrian dialect for excellent. These three bedrooms are the largest and most popular of all our bedrooms, with a large window overlooking Windermere. In each room there is a large six foot bed, double ended tub in the en suite, and a couple of easy chairs to relax into with a cup of Lakeland tea and a homemade biscuit!
Dinner in our terrace restaurant overlooking Lake Windermere has long been a Lake District tradition. Dominic Clarke’s superb food combined with our warm hospitality and ambience provide a wonderful dining experience. Our 4-course Dinner is served every night from 6.30pm until 9.00pm and includes canapés and freshly made bread. We also serve a modern take on the traditional Sunday lunch every week from 12.00pm until 2.15pm.
