Great sized room. Good bathroom, all facilities as expected. Lovely roof top pool with a view. Great buffet breakfast. No complaints with any staff in any area. The building is a little dated but as are a lot of the hotels in the city. Location suitable for shopping and dining in Kowloon or walking to the ferry for the Island and perfect for use of the airport train shuttle bus connection service as it stops at the hotel next door, making it the most cost effective way of travelling to and from the airport. The deal breaker for us regarding choosing to use this hotel again is the check in, check out times. We arrived very early and were very grateful to be allowed to store our luggage, nip into the city and then to be allowed to check in at midday. More importantly, we didn't leave for the airport until the evening, but again, they happily stored our luggage and then gave us a 'pass' to use the Club Level wash room facilities located next to the gym and pool area. It is more than a washroom, all toiletries & towels you could possibly need as well as steam room, sauna etc. This makes all the difference before a long haul flight. We will definitely stay here again. Collapse

We recently spent a single night at The Royal Garden in Tsim Tsui Tsui East (TST East) on Mody Road and very much enjoyed our stay. This is one of several 4 and 5 start properties clustered together east of Clatham Road along Mody Road and a good property if you want to stay in the TST area but want to avoid the crowds and chaos of properties in TST around Canton and Salisbury Rds. Reservation was made by way of booking.com one week prior to our stay, confirmation email was received immediately and we were well received upon arrival. Check-in and staff service was polite and timely throughout our short stay. We stayed on the 12th floor and had a room with a view of the harbour. View is pretty good, not of the best part of the Hong Kong Island Skyline but still pretty nice. Our room was pretty nice, comfortable bed allowing nice rest. Modern and nice furniture, large wall TV with plenty of English channels. Plenty of drawers, closet and general space. Very good wifi service, safe, coffee & tea. Bathroom was spacious as well. Basically the room is what you expect of 4 and 5 star properties in better city locations. Location is good as well. The hotel is near plenty of restaurants and bars, there are three restaurants in the hotel as well. The TST East MTR station is 3-4 minute walk and the Hung Hum Station is 7-8 minute walk. Overall, we quite enjoyed our stay at The Royal Garden. This is a pretty good hotel for its category and makes a nice choice if you find room rates within your budget. Collapse

I stayed at Royal Garden for three nights during my vacation in Hong Kong. The hotel was located in Tsim Sha Tsui East, an area I stayed on several trips previously. I always enjoy the precint's buzzling and mixtures tourist-oriented and local eateries. This time was no exceptions. The hotel's reception area was small and sometimes unpleasantly crowded. There was another side of the G/F with a bakery and some empty space. The hotel management should think more about diverting foot traffic and people-in-waiting to the other side for a better guest experience. The hotel's interior was nicely maintained with good lighting that carried a salubrious ambience. My room was located on 5/F, above a couple of restaurants. The noise from the restaurants was not heard insider the room but obvious when walking in corridor or waiting for elevators. One big problem with getting around at the hotel was that not all the elevators stopped at the G/F, so I often ended up taking elevators twice just to go from my 5/F room to G/F. I imagine it would not be a pleasant experience if one had luggage to carry, was getting around with kids or during peak time in morning or evening (when elevators were full). It was an unnecessary hassle. My room was of a fair size from HK standard, with contemporary funishing and well-maintained. The bathroom was spacious with a decent bathtub and shower facility. The hotel had several restaurants, which I had lunch and dinner in a couple of them. Good quality and choices. Fron desk, housekeeping and restaurant staff's service standard was efficient and good. Less impressed with the front-door bakery (which seemed to care more about finishing their duties rather than helping customers). Collapse

We have always stayed at the Marco Polo HK hotel for a number of years but the price keeps going up and up. We tried the Royal Garden and was very satisfied. Check in was easy, rooms were a decent size and clean and comfortable. We only ate breakfast in the hotel which to be honest was a little basic but ok. The location is pretty look and only two mins walk from some ocean front bars and restaurants which are great for chilling good fod and quite lively. Would definitely stay here again. Collapse
