First time at this hotel but definitely not the last! It was brilliant! The staff alone were so friendly and helpful! - Juan Carlos - Beatrice - Tamás - Louisa These four in particular made our holiday very special! They taught us a lot of Spanish and about the culture! They made us feel very welcome and at home! We would return purely to see these four! The hotel itself was beautifully laid out and in a great location as it was only 5 minutes to walk to the train station. The walk to the beach is straight forward as it is one Road and takes about 10 minutes to walk. The food was well suited for the 3 star rating and to suit the taste of the many nationalities staying at the hotel. The evening entertainment was different each night and every night made us laugh (even the magician) The pool was always clean and the garden had plenty of seating to accommodate everyone! The hotel is a decent size to feel personal and to get to know the people who else are staying here. We've made many friends and have had a great time! The room was spacious and cleaned on a daily bases with FREE air con! The balcony overlooked the road but we were never bothered by passing traffic. The hotel is based near the airport but we never had to raise our voices to talk. The trains were quiet and didn't disrupt us. All around this holiday has exceeded our expectations, the majority of that lies with the hotel! We will definitely be returning with smiles on our faces! Thanks to all the staff who took care of us! Adios mi amigos y amigas Love, Lydia, John and Jo xxx Collapse

Just back from a weeks holiday at this hotel. Chose it as my husband and I were taking his elderly mum for a peaceful and restful holiday after losing his dad. Firstly, nowhere on the website does it say that the coach transfer stops 70metres away on the main road as the hotel road is windy and cars double parked on it. This is not great given that my mother in law had walking difficulties and we had 3 cases to lug. Checking in was fine and we were on the 3rd floor with rooms right next to each other. The decor is dated but the room was clean and neat: the 'balcony' was very narrow merely a garden furniture chair wide. The outlook was the railway station with the sea in the distance and the location of the hotel was at the end of a residential area. We were on the flight path but we never had to increase our voices to be heard so it did not bother us. The shower head was black in areas which I cleaned myself. The food was not great and it definitely suited the Spanish appetite. For breakfast there were cheeses and meats, pancakes and egg dishes as well as yogurt, fresh melon and pineapple and tinned fruit too. The 'bacon' being processed meat and the bread rolls were a bit dry. Juice was made from concentrate. Tea and coffee was from a machine. There was no chef available to make omelette despite the hot plate being on and ready for action. The lunches and dinners were of the same calibre and despite trying the food, we could only eat the grilled fish, the 'roast beef' was processed and the lasagne was a plate of cheese sauce and a sheet of pasta with the odd dot of beef in it. The only potato on offer we're plain chips or cheesy chips, The pool was small and the grout needs a really good clean. The gardens were well tended and the rest of the patio and sunbathing area were clean and tidy. So far so good..... Our 3rd night three we got woken at 4.30am by a hen party on our floor. They had no regard for anyone and as the walls were paper thin and although they were 4 rooms away from us we could hear every drunken noice and sound they made. My husband eventually asked the to shut up by they just laughed. We spoke to reception in the morning as we understood that. No hen or stag groups were allowed in the hotel and were told they were going home that day. Well they were there that night too and again at 4.30amthey were loud and had complete and utter disrespect for other holidaymakers. My husband phoned reception and he was asked 'what do you want me to do' we could not believe it! After the 3rd call to reception we heard a male voice in the corridor say 'reception, please keep the noice down'. My husband advise the receptionist he wanted to speak to the manager and was advised she would be in at 8am. My husband went to reception at 8.30am to be advised. That as soon as the manager was free he would be brought to reception, At. 11.45am the male duty manager brought us to reception and the long and short of it was that the female manager was not interested and the duty manager was clearly the person trying to make up for her apathy. She made out she spoke no English until we said highlighted about hen and stag parties and she said she had not control over the website. We had also contacted our holiday rep who contacted us exactly when he said he would. He himself was the new rep for Jet 2 and had been emailing the manager for 2 months on a continual basis to get a meeting with her and all to no avail. He was in agreement that this was not acceptable and by way of apology that the hotel should offer us a bottle of wine and fruit in our room while it was investigated. The bottle of wine was 2 bottles of waters and fruit. We felt humiliated. This matter is now in the hands of the tour operator. To add insult to injury on our last morning I was briningin a cup of tea to my mother in law and made to step out of the restaurant to the seats in the foyer and was stopped by a waitress and told it was only plastic cups outside. I emptied the tea into a plastic cup and went to my mother in law to sit and watch a whole load of people come out of the restaurant with cups and not challenged. You can imagine that my husband was furious so we got the receptionist and were told that no manager was on today(they don't work on a Sunday). As we were telling the receptionist what had happened it struck me that there were only 2 waitresses on duty and that they were too understaffed to enforce many hotel rules and more so throughout the day I watched other hotel staff doing their job and the guy in the pool bar was on his own the whole day and it was manic at lunchtime. There is not enough staff to carry out the 'rules' which is completely unacceptable. There was a lifeguard on duty one day that would not let kids use rings etc and yet a different guy and day, anything went. The lifeguard was also not on duty until late afternoon. And if the attitude of the manager is that of apathy their is little wonder that the hotel staff are getting grief from holidaymakers. So apart from the train being handy for Malaga etc, we will not be back at this hotel. Collapse

Well I don't usually do reviews but had to do this one I'm currently staying here and after reading all the reviews I was quite worried about arriving at this hotel. Well so far I can't fault it. Im staying here with hubby and 4 children aged from 1-11. The staff have been great and very helpful it's what I would expect for a 3 star. We wasn't planning on spending much time at the hotel but we upgraded to all inclusive which has defo been worth it just for the drinks (especially with 4 kids). Food is ok (my opinion I'm fussy) but I have found something to eat every night so far. The hubby loves it always a choice of different fish and he likes to try new food i don't I'm boring. Kids haven't gone hungry yet so it can't be that bad and there very fussy eaters. Rooms are clean have sept well and haven't been woke by loads of Spanish kids like many reviews have said. In my opinion people clearly expected way much more for there money. Hotels in Spain are not like hotels in England which I discovered last year so if you want luxury book a 5 star. This hotel is definitely has been worth the money we payed for we booked 6 months before and was much cheaper then last minute. Hotel is 5 mins from train station which has direct links to Malaga central right down to Fuengirola. We got a train from the airport which cost us just under €8 it's two stops away about 5 mins. We have found this a very useful way to travel even with 4 kids. The walk to the beach is a easy straight forward road and 10 min walk kids didn't complain so clearly ain't far. Would I book here again yes I definitely would. My opinion is longs you don't think you r going to walk in to this hotel and expect the Hilton, the you won't disappointed. Remember it's a 3 star. I'm 3 days in and hoping the rest of my stay will be as good. Will update after Collapse

Booked room with balcony via on the beach but got what can only be described as a broom cupboard which didn't even have a window in the room. If comparing rooms without windows then I had better when at sea with the Royal Navy!! Dining compares to a works canteen but with worse food. Book at your peril?!?! Collapse
