Fabulous day. Took advantage of their special offer £145 for spa day including 2 course lunch and £140 to spend on treatments. This offer runs through to 31 December 2016 and is available on their website. Tea/coffee and flapjack bites to keep you going whilst you fill in the health questionnaire and select your lunch. Choice of 3 starters and 3 main courses. I chose pea soup (other options were mozzarella and sour dough crisps or ham ballantine), which was very nice. Rolls were soft but crusty and they bought another if you asked. For my main course, I had sea bass (other options were chicken or butternut and lemon risotto). I ordered seasonal vegetables with it (extra £4). I had to ask for these (they didn't come out with the main) and by the time they arrived my main was cold. It was just peas (not very nice ones at that) and carrots - wish I hadn't bothered. However, the rest of the food was very nice. The gym is a little small and dated but has 7 aerobic machines (treadmills, bikes and cross trainer), a few resistance machines and some free weights. All the stuff you need for a workout but nothing to write home about. The pool, Japanese therapy pool and jacuzzi were fabulous though. The ambience is lovely. There is also a sauna and steam room, plus plenty of seats to relax in and a few magazines to while away the time. The changing rooms have digital coded lockers, shampoo/body wash and conditioner in the shower plus hair dryers and straighteners. Upstairs in the treatment area is a lovely relaxation room with comfy loungers. No clock though, so be careful you don't snooze through your treatment. Plenty of clocks elsewhere. I had The Works - back and shoulder massage, while body scrub, express facial and scalp massage. Roxanne was great - I enjoyed the treatment and felt nice and relaxed. Overall, a fantastic experience. I went on my own but most people were there in groups. I would thoroughly recommend it as a treat. Collapse

We booked this last minute night away to relax after getting married as our house was awash with wedding gifts and general mess!! This place was just what we needed. A lovely sweeping drive up to the main hotel reception where we were greeted by three well turned out and smiling ladies and a very kind informative gentleman who carried our bags to our room. Good start! Our hotel room was large with a proper coffee making machine (tick!) Beautiful big bathroom with a huge bath (tick!) We asked for champagne and chocolates to be thrown in as we had just got married and we got them (double tick!) The room was immaculate, clean lines, modern and the bed was HUGE and a wide selection of magazines to read. We booked ourselves in for a couples massage at the spa which was fabulous, so fabulous my husband started snoring! We ate at their more upmarket restaurant which was very nice and relaxing. My only complaint was that it needed some back ground music as everyone was whispering! The hotel is very quiet so sleeping wasn't an issue apart from two cackling witches next door (hehe!) But thats not the hotels fault. Breakfast was a bit of a dissapoinent but I often find breakfast is and its what let's hotels down. I ordered scrambled eggs and salmon, the only warm thing I got was the plate, I did complain and they bought me another plate but there were black bits in the eggs which was off putting so I didn't finish it but when mentioned to the reception they refunded me my breakfast. My husband ordered the full English. However... I do feel it doesn't take a Michelin stared chef to cook a sausage so not sure why one came out half raw! Again we complained about the sausages and two were bought out for him, but they bought them out on my breakfast plate, seriously, what if I didn't eat meat you would have been cooking me ANOTHER plate of eggs! (Picture shows a bit of cooked sausage against the anaemic raw sausage!) Also the cleaning in the breakfast area needs addressing!) After breakfast we went for a walk around the grounds. We found them to be a bit neglected in places, especially the tranquility garden which seems to have been abandoned, its not very tranquil. Weddings are held here and I just think the grounds let this place down. We have just got married in the most beautiful place so maybe we are being bit picky but if I were looking for a venue this would have put me off. All in all a great place and we would visit again but I'm not a massive fan of spas so we probably won't!! Collapse

It's just wonderful. We did the Utopia day at £139 and opted for afternoon tea & full body massage. We booked very late so didn't have time to ring and sort times but on arrival the reception were more than happy to move our tea back. The greeting we received was fantastic from a lovely lady. It was a bit lacking in 'tour' but she was absolutely lovely and we felt really well welcomed. The facilities are outstanding and whilst everybody was at lunch we had the whole place to ourselves for an hour which was nice. Massage was excellent from Roxanna, 10/10, she was also very lovely and took me out to the relaxation room after. We arrived just after 12 and left around 5:45pm. When booking I thought 6 hours was a bit short but it's probably just about right. Great changing facilities, everything very clean. Afternoon tea was exceptionally good, better than most. Very attentive Jamaican waiter who was delightful and had a lovely conversation with the ladies next to us. The tea included coffee, tea, sandwiches, cream scones x2 each and a selection on mini cakes. The coffee was one of the best I've had in a hotel recently. We attended tea in our gowns & wearing flip flops, which is the done thing. All in all, I thought it was fantastic and although on the £££ side for that king of day, the quality was faultless. I think I will be back. Collapse

I have just finished a one night stay dinner bed and breakfast at Rowhill Grange with my mum for both our birthdays. Our package was a reasonable price with use of the spa facilities throughout our stay. We arrived and were greeted by a delightful group of staff, who checked us in and gave us a brief tour of the hotel including the bar, restaurant and spa which were all beautiful. Our room (Geranium) was spacious and very clean with a huge king size bed which was very cosy with lovely pillows too! We unpacked and went down to the spa with was beautifully decorated and also very clean with 2 pools, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. Lack of beds to lie down on next to the pool was a shame however their were footstools available if you were lucky to enough to get one. Dinner was very pleasant and service was outstanding and they even presented a small birthday cake at the end of the meal which was a really sweet touch. Slept very well minus some noise early in the morning however was quickly sorted once I let reception know. Breakfast was okay, it's served only until 9:30 weekdays which is a shame for a lazy mere like me as had to set an alarm so we made it down there on time. Breakfast pancakes were not homemade which was a shame for the standard of the overall hotel, however the continental buffet had a selection which was perfect for me and my mum throughly enjoyed her salmon, egg and muffin. My mum accidentally misplaced the key on the night due to maybe a few too many procesco but the reception staff were fab and sorted the key for us straight away. Reception staff were amazing, so friendly and attentive, we got chatting to a Annabelle who looked after our bags while we went to our treatment and nothing seemed to be too much hassle for any of the members of staff. We had a full body massage booked at 12 which was absolutely incredible, Faith and Mihaela were both lovely and very good at what they were doing. Overall the experience has been incredible and has made both and my mums stay very special, beautiful hotel, lovely spa and amazing staff. Will definitely be returning very soon!! Collapse
