We have just returned from a two week stay at The Rosen Shingle Creek and it most definitely did not disappoint. As you enter the property you are greeted by the view of the grounds and golf course which are pristine. As you drive to the entrance you are immediately drawn to how well kept and clean the whole resort is. Check-in was a breeze, the staff were very courteous and efficient. As for parking we never really had a problem, despite the hotel being really busy, but as the hotel is huge it has a parking lot to match. That said there were staff in buggies constantly riding around the parking area offering to take you to the reception, if required. Our room, a standard Deluxe, was a nice size with all the amenities you require, safe, fridge, hairdryer, TV etc.. and again spotless with maid service every day. The swimming pools were great , during the day they are deserted but came to life at night. The restaurants, cafes and ice-cream bar were good quality and fairly priced, for an hotel. The shop was a little pricey so I would suggest visiting the Publix supermarket across Universal Blvd for any provisions, a 2 minute drive (go down the drive of the hotel to Universal Blvd and go straight across into the shopping area opposite). The location of the hotel is great! Right on the doorstep of SeaWorld (few minutes drive), just a short drive to the Universal Resort and about a 20 minute drive to Disney. International drive is only a few minutes away also. The only blot on our stay was for three days several hundred guests arrived from Mexico for a "Religious Conference" who were loud, poorly behaved, left rubbish everywhere and basically overran everywhere they went. They all seemed to do everything together so if it was swimming, the pools were mobbed, if it was eating the restaurants were mobbed, if it was the shop that was mobbed etc.. In all fairness to the hotel they did an excellent job cleaning up after these people and security did a great job in getting them out of the pools after midnight and quietening them down. The hotel even put large notices in the lifts/elevators saying that this is a quiet area, not that they took too much notice. This was not the hotels fault and because we were out most of the day it didn't spoil our holiday. But the hotel does cater for large conferences of which there were many during our stay and this was the only one that caused a problem. All of the others despite there being hundreds of people caused no problem whatsoever. Would we stay at this hotel again? You bet we would! Collapse

Great resort with an equally great staff. Hotel was always spotless despite hosting a large convention. Staff was always very polite and helpful, especially the lifesavers from security who pick you up in the parking lot. Also our meeting rooms and expo space was always ready to go and kept up. Overall food and beverage was excellent, especially Tobias' Beer and Burgers, which was also a great value. Just be aware if you self park, the parking lot is huge. Collapse

We came here from the UK for a 2 week holiday which was our first time in USA. This hotel ticked all the boxes. Everything about this hotel was perfect. All staff were friendly and helpful, room and hotel was clean, pool area was clean and provided free water, food at the pool bar and the shop was really nice and reasonable priced, 3 amazing pools to choose and relax and a number of restaurants at the hotel. The only critic is that there is not much around the hotel in terms of bars or restaurants off-site that you can have a short walk too, however there is always taxis outside the main entrance to the hotel but you may find them more expensive than local taxis picked up from the street. Overall, we loved it and would absolutely recommend this hotel to anybody. Worth every penny! Collapse

As a family of three we spent two weeks in this wonderful hotel. The rooms are spotlessly clean and spacious. The mattresses and pillows are so comfy. The pools and spa pools are a delight. We had a fridge in the room so we could have breakfast before heading to the theme parks. We also had a free to use safe. The hotel food is quite pricey, but we ate out anyway so it didn't matter to us. We were all sad to leave this lovely hotel. Collapse
