My family and I stayed at the Rosen Shingle Creek after our Disney Cruise. The property was beautiful and room well equipped. Room service was spot on (though I would not recommend the pizza) and punctual. On the day of check-out, my wife fell ill. Since our flight wasn't until later in the evening, I requested a late check-out. At first, I was told that they could extend it until 1 pm for free (check-out is usually 11 am) and until 3 pm for half the room rate. After explaining that I was travelling with 2 children and a sick wife, they graciously comped the 3 pm check-out. I was very appreciative to say the least. The only negative was the bell staff... upon arrival they completely ignored us and our bags even though there were at least 8 employees standing around. It wasn't until I loudly announced that we need assistance did someone come and help. However, I'd say overall, great hotel, I definitely recommend it. Collapse

Trecking through the parking lot after a long day at the attraction could be the straw that breaks the camel's back. Overall, the place is beautiful. Collapse

Usually it’s me at a conference and husband tagging along, but this time he had a conference to attend so we landed here. Large property and nicely decorated. Room was standard. I used the spa and was very impressed. The conference facilities were huge and they had at least 3 conferences going on but we never had a problem in the evening finding a table at a venue or lounge. The golf facilities looked very nice but we didn’t play this time. The pools are also nice and large with bar service to them. It was a bit chilly so I stayed pool side by the bar and worked in the sun. The WiFi was decent though it’s ridiculous you have to pay after 24 hours! We weren’t there long enough to mess with it but it did screw me up the last day and I had to save everything to my laptop and not my work network unless I paid. Truly it’s a fine property but I think I would only choose it if it was chosen for me. For one I have other hotel loyalties for rewards but also it felt more like a conference center so fine if that’s where my conference was but I’d choose another hotel for pleasure or location. Also felt parking was steep to self park with the size of the property they should have allowed some of it to be free. Another thing was during the day, of course when their bread and butter conference attendees were in meetings, there aren’t as many venues open. The Bonrai Sushi though was terrific! Otherwise we ate off property except for quick bagels and coffee in the morning as we’re vegan and options are limited but their veggie sushi was amazing! Collapse

Wish I wasn’t staying it’s full of conferences in the evening groups of smart professionals don’t really mix with holiday relaxation in bars an restaurants it’s really not what you want on holiday. You have to pay around $20 dollars to park each day or more for valet parking. Gym is $10 each use or 20 for your stay. WiFi is useless and you have to pay after 24 hours. Beautiful building absolutely huge as so many conference halls appears bigger than excel an Birmingham sure it would be great for conferences but not for holiday No external restaurants you can walk to nearest is international drive taxi is $12 each way Restaurants in hotel are so busy and noisy as so many conference delegates here every day of our holiday so far even round the pool dressed in suits and chatting noisily so no peaceful sunbathing for holiday makers Collapse

In middle of holiday from UK. Couldn't wait till I got home to review this hotel. Good points ..this hotel is really beautiful. Best beds I have slept in, lovely pools and fantastic grounds, friendly staff. Bad points..this is a conference centre hotel. Holiday makers beware you are second class citizens. Hundreds of conference goers daily. There is ample conference rooms. However everywhere we turn we are bombarded by loud rowdy conference goers. Trying to sit by the pool, they are there..even in the family pool area..sitting in the pool area. And go for refreshments at the pool bar, not a chance all seats taken at lunch time while conference goers eat lunch. Fancy a nice quiet drink in the bar after a long day..haha not a chance. The bar at night is like being in the rowdy end of a British football cup final. It is utterly horrendous with no getting away from conferences. There is absolutely no getting away from the noise day or night. No thought at all for the holiday maker even though we work hard for a well deserved break Even the corridors are noisy when you've had enough of the noise in the bar and public areas and decide to go to bed to get away from it. We were woke twice in a week around 3 am with people shouting on their way to bed. I understand conferences is big buisiness but never dreamt in a million years when booking this hotel that we would not have had some separate facilities to the conference goers, after all us holiday makers dont use their facilities. Some people are so loud and obnoxious with no thought for others yet the hotel turns a blind eye to the noise and sometimes disruptive behaviour of conference goers. Our holiday has been totally ruined only by this hotel. Collapse
