Check In was quick, lifts are very slow especially during peak times. We were on the 14th floor so this was annoying. My main worry was the amount of children being booked in on the top floor, I feel Hotel Rosamar should ensure families and Children are booked on lower levels and not so high up. Wifi was ok for the first 3 days but then kept dropping in and out possibly due to the amount of people using it. Main pool was ok but you do get a lot of adults expecting to not be disturbed by children, unfortunately this cannot be helped as it is a family friendly hotel. There were 2 incidents where a group of children were threatened verbally and physically because adults were annoyed at being splashed by kids jumping in the pool! Children cannot be expected to stay at the water park all day it's not fair, people need to grow up and realise it's them having fun and enjoying their holiday. The water park is brilliant for children and adults enjoyed it too! The one main thing about this as well that has been mentioned was the additional sun beds which is an added bonus! There was one life guard patrolling until a few accidents occurred, the lifeguards are very vigilant and brilliant at helping children who have been hurt and giving first aid. Due to the amount of children in and out of both pools mid way through the holiday two were put on shift to rotate between both pools. There were a lot of children running around without having sun cream applied, throughout the holiday you could visibly see children badly sunburnt, if children get sunburnt and require a T-Shirt to go in the pool or water park it has to be a UV specific one otherwise you need to get permission from management at the hotel to continue using the facilities with a standard T-Shirt, the lifeguards have been told that due to H&S T-Shirts are not to be worn in the pool or on the slides in the water park so will tell people they are not allowed in the pool or water park due to this. Food is basic and they try to do themed evening meals, there is not enough variety for children at dinner or for evening meals, there is a dinner alternative for children at the snack bar by the water park but it means not getting a break from the sun. The chicken legs we had on the last day of the holiday were the best thing I have eaten in the Rosamar all week. The hotel rooms are standard, the cleaners come in every day they make the beds, change towels if needed and mop the floors. We didn't have any toilet roll stocked up for a week but luckily we just got by with 3 of us. If you require any extras like Fridge, Iron, Safe, Hairdryer, pool towels etc you will need to pay for these. The air con is ok but from visiting other hotels I felt this wasn't the best. Evening entertainment was ok. On the last night they held a children's disco at 21:00 out by the main pool. The two main bars stop serving drinks for all inclusive at 23:00, if you are still in the queue and were queuing up before 23:00 you will still be required to pay for drinks as the staff on the dot at 23:00 start charging. There was an accident with a wet floor in the toilets and a member of staff was informed but still failed to put down a wet floor sign and clean it up, within an hour a child slipped on this and ended up with a bruise on her leg, she was very upset so management were informed of the incident. The next day there were wet floor signs around the hotel where needed so I think management had spoken to staff to inform them of the complaint. It's a standard 3* hotel but I think with it being under new management they can do so much more to improve this hotel and make it a much higher rated star hotel! Collapse

Went on holiday with my husband my 171/2 year old son and his girlfriend, and another couple, the rooms were clean but need updating only one plug socket worked in the bathroom which was pain when it came to charging phones and other devices,we had a balcony over looking the pool. Food was lovely plenty of choice always summit different, all inclusive drinks were what you expect for a 3*and the que at the pool bar both day and night gets very long bar staff were fantastic and worked hard, always friendly and smiling. My only issue with this hotel is that the main pool is small, there was a lot of unruly children who were dive bombing and splashing and nobody seemed to be able to control it was impossible to relax in the pool with all the dive bombing many people complained and a few days in a life guard appeared but he couldn't control behavior from these children, I love seeing children happy and enjoying themselves but these children were very rude even making gestures to the lifeguard when told off You couldn't sit at the edge of the pool with you feet in the water cos you would get pushed in this happened to me, I was not amused whilst the hotel introduced a lifeguard it did not solve the issue, I would not come back to this hotel because of this I think the pool is too small for the amount people using it Apart from the issues around the pool we had a fab holiday the pool let's this hotel down! Reception staff very friendly, easy and quick check in. Rooms are clean and ok. As previous reviews state they are basic and could do with an update. Towels changed each day and bed linen changed a few times during our two week stay. Make sure you read the welcome information folder in the room. It explains how the plug sockets work as lots of people obviously haven't. You have to have the vanity mirror light on for the plug under it to work etc..... Food is varied and always hot. The restaurant could do with keeping on top of cleanliness. A few times we found either used dirty cutlery or glasses at tables when we sat down. Dining room staff are quite miserable and it seems to be deemed acceptable for them to stand behind your table chatting loudly while people eat. This is all with the exception of Miguel who always has a smile and is very welcoming when he greets you at the restaurant door. The dining room can be quite manic and there doesn't seem to be any order or queuing system. The downstairs pool bar gets busy and unless Toni who is super efficient is on then the queues can become quite long. The snack bar is at the water park as is a self service bar. We didn't use the water park but the kids using it seemed to be having a great time. The pool area can be quite manic and very slippy at times. Only once during our two week stay we saw a lifeguard removing towels from loungers that weren't being used. This caused one very rude guest to become quite aggressive with him. In my opinion it should either be done daily or not at all. The pool area opens at 8.30 for you to reserve sunbeds and the water park at 10am. As always people feel the urgency to turn into Olympic runners to get beds of their choice. Can be quite funny to watch! As previous posts have mentioned the lifts are horrendous. Very slow and very hot. This isn't helped by the lack of manners from guests who jump in before you even though they can see you have been waiting longer. I would consider returning to this hotel but it would have to be a very good deal as I'm sure there are better hotels to be found after speaking to other guests who holiday in Benidorm year after year.
