We booked 7 nights. Came in on Sunday, and were greeted with helpful, friendly staff. Although condo was small, it was cozy and homey. Our unit (2001) had a fireplace but no fireplace tools, which made maintaining the fire a bit difficult. Kitchen could have used a blender and measuring spoons- equipped a little sparsely, but overall functional. Pool and hot tubs in main building were great. Dry sauna very nice. Good food available in on site restaurant, available for eat in or take out. Overall very nice place to stay! Collapse

I had never been to Banff before and was so excited to visit! I recently got engaged and planned this trip with my fiancé to treat ourselves. I bought 2 nights for this hotel in a 1 bed condo - it was horrific! I am not super picky ( I camp frequently) but it was DIRTY. I was in room 1604, a pet room, as we brought our Beagle with us. Even though a pet room, I did not expect it to be this horribly dirt or worn out (it definitely needs a total remodel as everything is old and worn... carpets, furniture, linoleum, all the baseboards, doors and door frames were chipped marked dirty and peeling.) We got a dog friendly room as mentioned... treats and a little dog bag along with a bed and water dishes were to be provided - NONE of this was in the room when we got there and we paid extra to have our pup with us. I expected to have some sort of little dog treats or toys upon arrival as the website suggested - especially since I was paying extra for my dog (which is expected!). But if you advertise something... please deliver. The condo has a little kitchen that was not clean at all (found dirty plates in the cupboards had to pre wash anything I used, the counters were sticky, there was food splashes in the microwave and on the outside of the cupboards, the inside of the cupboards had crumbs and dust on them). The table was old and gross and well worn (seats on the chairs were disgusting), and the table top was sticky. The bathroom and towels were clean, but the shower curtain definitely needed to be replace d(smelled of mold and mildew) and there was shower and soap scum on all the grout and sealant in the bathroom. Also, this place doesn't have conditioned and when they say they carry Rocky Mountain Soap co soaps.. they carry 2 little lavender bars per room and then cheap shampoo and body lotion (no conditioner....?). The bedroom was worse for ware as well.. our sheet wasn't finished.. as in the edges were hemmed they were cut.. and instead of having a fitted sheet over the mattress cover, we just had 2 flat sheets which was weird. The bedding also had that gross mold smell. It was a tiny room, with very little light. On our second night the neighbors above decided to stomp about all hours of the night... I think I finally fell asleep @ 2am and was still woken up a few times because I could hear them stomping. In the living room there was one okay part... you could buy fire logs to have in your own fireplace! but... the living room was cramped with a super large TV and small love seat.. wasn't enjoyable.. I think the loveseat turned into a bed but didn't pull it out and take a look. I spilt a glass of water on the love seat and patted it dry with some paper towels.. to my complete horror the towel was completely black and dirty - this couch NEEDS to be washed (or burned!!!!). There was snowboard wax spilled on the carpet as well... and there was a disgusting little coffee table that was stick and gross just like the dining table. After the spill episode I found a clean sheet in the closet and draped it over the couch - there was no way I could relax by the fire on that thing!!!! The room was on the ground level and the exterior around it was nothing nice to look at (faced the highway, ugly dingy light coming through the windows). Overall, I enjoyed Banff - but this resort TOTALLY tarnished and ruined my view. I don't think this is a case of "you get what you pay for" because there was bed and breakfasts and others resorts in the area for the same rates that looked and appeared much more hygienic. It was NOT the romatic getaway I anticipated at all - I think we spent more time trying to clean the place and make it livable than actually enjoying it. I don't care if anything is done about this - but I really want people to expect this is what they get... at least in room 1604 @ the Banff Rocky Mountain Resort!!!!!!! Collapse

Located just 500 Meters off the transcanada on the first exit into Banff, the resort is a series of chalet type buildings. We stayed in a 2 bed condo. It was a little dated and the rooms were small but the kitchen was well equipped and great for doing your own meals. Some of the units are designated pet friendly. The main building has a small restaurant, a small swimming pool and both indoor and outdoor hot tubs. The outdoor hot tub is quite large. There is also a gym which looked quite well equipped. Massage also available. There is a walking/bike trail that goes into Banff. About a 30 minute walk to the shops but alongside busy road. The ski bus for Sunshine stops in the morning and there is a shuttle into town. You may want to request a unit that does not face the highway which is quite close and busy and the railway line is just on the other side of the highway. There is no ac so open windows needed in summer. There are outdoor barbecues in a central location. Overall good value for the price we paid and a great location to explore the many activités in the area. Collapse

This place was perfect for our trip - really nice, clean rooms - loved the fireplace and the view CaNnoT be beat!! It's not on the main strip but enjoyed that actually since we felt really in the nature/mountains instead - even saw a pack of elk right on the road by us! There's a free shuttle to/from the main center of town too so was great for us and really easy. Collapse

great hotel with pool and hot tubs - not within walking distance of downtown so need a car and parking down town on a busy weekend not so easy. They do have a shuttle service if you are flexible. Great views and nice and peaceful
