Just back from a 3 night stay with friends to celebrate a friends up coming wedding. Welcome at reception was fine but with a large group checking in would have thought they would have had more than one person on reception. Rooms were large and clean but a little tired especially the bathrooms. Beds were comfortable and TV had a few English speaking channels. We booked full board but drinks including water you had to pay for. Breakfast you were able to have juice and hot beverages free. Food was a variety of cold meats, salad and a few hot food options and deserts. Sometimes a little cold there was a microwave to heat up if needed. Waiting staff were constantly busy and at busy times you had to wait for some tables to be cleared to get a seat. On our first night we tried several times to get waiter to take a drinks order but ignored us. Even when one of us went up to a waiter and point out our table looking to order a drink no one came. Not a good start. Swimming pool closed as it was been retiled and the hot tub on top floor was also out of use. If you plan to go in the winter months be prepared to lack of full facilities and staying in what you could call a large retirement home! Hotel didn't appear to have any child activities so I wouldn't recommend it for families. It is located close to beach which has some play areas. I would say in the summer months the hotel would have more mix of age groups. Drinks in the bar were expensive (close to €10 for a spirit and mixer). Collapse

I would personally return and give this hotel another go but out of a group of 33 of us there were mixed reviews to it. We were a been party of all ages, from 21 years old to 63. Some loved their rooms, some didn't. Some thought food was good, some didn't. I can't fault Petra at reception. She was extremely friendly and each of our rooms were given a free bottle of wine and as the Bride to be, I got a free upgrade to a top floor room with sea view. The room was huge, as was the bathroom. Beds were comfy. Extra pillows supplied and a good balcony. So we were definitely happy. However the internet in the rooms had to be paid for, as did the safe. There were free alternatives for both in reception but it is nice to have that in your room. We were half board but it was a waste of money. Poor restaurant service in night 1 put us off the other 2 nights - we couldn't even get a glass of water. Only 2 staff on for the whole floor. Food was just ok. Breakfast didn't have a lot of hot food on offer but the continental style things were plentiful. It was a pity the pool and Jacuzzi were not open, nor the terrace bar as such a big crowd of us would have enjoyed all 3. The terrace was a nice area to relax in though. Bar prices are horrendous. I bought 1 Jack and coke the whole time because it was 9 euro 50 cents! My friend paid 17 euros for a double. What the hell! Entertainment seemed non existent. Location was good if you enjoy being very close to a beach and other bar and restaurant options. The hotel were also good enough to only charge 50 euros for damage to a bathroom door in one of the rooms. Rooms were serviced every day but wardrobes need hangers with hooks to hold vest tops and dresses Collapse

We had returned from a family holiday, 23/12/16 until 4/1/17.Will not be returning anytime as this hotel has poor quality food and poor quality rooms. The junior suites were large but had nothing luxurious inside. No pictures on the wall or any decor of any description just like student accommodation. No drawers in the wardrobe or bedside table, the mini fridge sat on the floor and the settee was so worn out and grubby that it was better sitting on the plastic chairs brought in from the balcony. The balcony was very small and certainly well out of proportion to the room. We both found the beds comfortable which was the only thing that was positive about our suite. The bathroom was poorly designed with the door opening in to the sink and a wall in front of the toilet. The bidet was not fixed correctly to the floor and was loose. I asked the reception desk where the swimming pool was(we had just arrived and it was night time) and he told us it was `broken`and would be out of action for a week.Well it turns out it had been dug out and new mesh lay in the bottom waiting for new concrete to be laid so they could finish the refurbishment. The roof top jacuzzi was only available in the summer so that was roped off and the roof top bar was abandoned sometime last summer along with the ash trays which were still full.A very poor impression was created by the lack of care to the hotel facilities which the quests were expecting to use but could not. The food in the poorly run restaurant was sometimes fine but more often, not as you expect from a 4 star hotel.Poor quality food and luke warm most of the time. This was not a cheap holiday as the hotel charges top prices for rooms and drinks, especially water which was well overpriced. The bar was quite full sometimes but people including my family were not drinking or would only have one choosing to drink in their room, where there was probably more atmosphere. The new years eve gala dinner was terrible as we were seated in the same dining area on the same small tables as we used for breakfast. There was no atmosphere and only piped music available from a CD.The Sirloin steak with grilled potatoes turned out to be a type of tough cow with a small helping of ovenchips. The Spanish on the other hand were seated in the bar area on long tables which created a much better atmosphere and they even had a live band. The other Europeans in our dining room were mostly studying the floor or their mobile phones. There was a free bar until 4.00pm which did not really make up for the lack of effort or care. Anyway the hotel seemed only concerned with making money and not caring too much about the guest experience so avoid this place if you can. Collapse

Summarising the good points first: * Overall staff were friendly and courteous with Petra (front desk) proving very efficient and helpful. Juan in the bar served drinks with a smile. * Location of hotel good, close to shops, bars and seafront * Bedrooms clean and well made-up by cleaning team Summarising the negative points: * hotel is dated * Not enough staff on the floor during mealtimes and also within the bar area. Clearance of tables was slow especially at peak meal times. * Coffee machines in dining area are crap. Perhaps it is the quality of the coffee used * Food - not great in my opinion, better selection and presentation at other 4 Star Spanish hotels that I have stayed at * Beds I found to be okay unlike other review comments regarding firmness of mattress. Down to personal choice i suppose. Twin beds only available throughout the hotel, we were informed that the hotel had only four (4) double beds !!! * Bedroom was spacious, but dated. Balconies small. * Bathroom area with shower over bath not to my liking, no separate shower. Toilet area tight against a wall, not suitable for persons of larger proportions. * Soundproofing within bedrooms was crap, noise from adjacent rooms, guests within corridors, noise from the plumbing / water systems very much in evidence * Pool area poor, small, not very imaginative or enticing. A total enclosed area, well shaded i would imagine even on the hottest of days. * Rooftop area / hot-tub - cannot comment on this area as we did not make use of it due to the inclement weather. This section appeared fine with bar area available with restricted service time slots during off season months e.g. November Overall We had an "okay" stay at this hotel, would I go back again I am afraid my answer would be "no" Collapse
