Three nights together with my daughter & 4 year old grand-daughter. A nice short break though the flight timing was such as to make the travel tedious. Spent some time by the hotel pool where the 4 year old had a great time - didn't want to leave. She made a good friend of about the same age. Service at the hotel pool was good - nice cafeteria lunch. Spent a day going to Malaga: an easy trip by train from near the hotel. Took the roun city bus tour - highly recommended - highlights were visit to the Picasso Museum. Congratulations to the Spanish football team & the Spanish supporters in Torremolinos who made a lot of noise but no drunkness or nasty behaviour. Collapse

Having stayed in many hotel's and apartments in Torremolinos this has to be the one that disappointed me the most. Upon arrival at the hotel we were advised that there was a problem with our booking and we were to be moved to a sister hotel way out of the resort, but as compensation they would give us full board, however this was not suitable to us and we stood our ground and said this was not suitable to us and after 20 minutes miraculously a room was found for the full 6 nights!! I do have to say the staff were helpful and polite so I couldn't complain about that... at this point! The rooms are big and spacious, very dated but clean, however the balcony is the size of a postage stamp (in almost all the rooms) bad design in my opinion as the rooms could be slightly smaller to accommodate bigger balconies, but hey its built now! The bathroom was clean, but you had to sit on the toilet on an angle as the sink was far to close!! but the room was cleaned everyday and fresh towels if needed. This is my annoyed part... on our 3rd morning, just getting out of the shower our door was opened by the maid with 2 customers with her!! Yes remember we shouldn't have been there until this morning ourselves with the 'over booking' I jumped out to the hall to ask what was happening, and she asked in the best way she could ' you going today?' No i explained next week, lucky the 2 customers understood and she apologised as best she could. When I spoke to reception regarding this they just said oh yes sorry this was a mistake, but i explained had we have not been in the room they could have just walked in, granted they would have seen our belongings but still!!! Not happy with the attitude this time at reception!! We stayed on a B&B basis and there was ok choice, cereal, toast that was about it really. Plenty of cold meats and cheese if you don't mind this and bacon and fried eggs and cold beans (but they do have a microwave to warm these items up!!) Pool area fine, again dated but ample sunbeds but the only downside was the amount of trees with regards to shade. The whole of the hotel is in desperate need of some sort of refurbishment, paint work and dirty carpets in the hall ways and the other downside to this hotel was the amount of noise you could here from the rooms next too and above so lack of sleep was not good. Would I stay here again, probably not and really this was more down to the noise more than anything else. If you want to be right in the centre of the town then this is ideally positioned and it is a cheaper hotel, so you do get what you pay for in terms of decor and food. If ROC were to spend some money on this hotel it would be great but until they do, I wont be staying here again. Collapse

I went to Torremolinos to attend a friends 40th. On arrival at Hotel on the 24th Oct I was ignored by the reception staff for all the elderly Spanish people who came in after me. I was eventually checked into a Junior Suite. The paint was peeling off the wall in the bedroom. There was mould in the bathroom. Dated damaged furniture. I THE view from the balcony was a rubbish skip and a apartment block. I requested to be moved. I had to pay extra for a pool view even though I payed a small fortune for a all inclusive package. On the 3rd day I went into bathroom to find a Cockroach coming to meet me. I picked up the soap dispenser and threw it at the huge cockroach. I rang reception. Two maintained staff came to remove the thing and tape up all the vents in the bathroom. The woman who came to room, who I believe was the house maid manager kept laughing. I complained about the cockroach... With regard to the food. The only thing I could eat was salad and eggs. All the food is cooked for the Spanish guests. I went to bar to look for the snack bar and snack bar menu...there was none. I went to complain that I paid for all inclusive and I couldn't eat 95 % of the food..my complaint was ignored. I contacted the travel agent about been moved to different hotel and the staff at reception said they had no record of a cockroach or any complaints. I couldn't believe it. I asked for names of work men who came to room and how long the cctv security footage is kept in order to prove that there was a Cockroach....the reception staff became very agressive towards me. I asked them to ring the manager of hotel..they refused..there was no manager in hotel from last Friday to when I left tuesday evening. I would describe the Hotel as extremely dated. Run down. No snack bar. All entertainment in Spanish. Ignorent agressive staff at reception. I have lodged a official complaint and the hotel hasn't even the curtsey to acknowledge this. I would advise anyone to avoid this dump. Pay a bit extra for hotel down at beach. Work holiday experience in a hotel I have ever had. I will upload pics in coming days. Collapse

We stayed here for 10 nights and enjoyed most of the hotel. Most of the staff were really good and the entire hotel is very clean but a little bit tired. We stayed in August 2016 and were told that the hotel was having a refit in the winter. If that has happened i would have no hesitation in going back. It is on a main road but once you get your bearings its not a bad location. We walked to the water park and bought tickets from next door to the hotel and that seemed better value than at the park. Food in the hotel could have been better so we eat out 50% of the time but we are very fussy eaters. Good Overall Collapse
