Three nights together with my daughter & 4 year old grand-daughter. A nice short break though the flight timing was such as to make the travel tedious. Spent some time by the hotel pool where the 4 year old had a great time - didn't want to leave. She made a good friend of about the same age. Service at the hotel pool was good - nice cafeteria lunch. Spent a day going to Malaga: an easy trip by train from near the hotel. Took the roun city bus tour - highly recommended - highlights were visit to the Picasso Museum. Congratulations to the Spanish football team & the Spanish supporters in Torremolinos who made a lot of noise but no drunkness or nasty behaviour. Collapse

El personal es muy amable. Las actividades que se hacen a lo largo del día son entretenidas. Es un sitio agradable donde pasar unas vacaciones. Lo único malo son las corrientes de aires que hay dentro del hotel.

I stayed here in November before they closed for refurbishment. As a real big positive, the staff are all friendly and helpful and they work really hard to give you a good experience in reception, dining room, bars and cleaning your rooms. There was still lots of work going on when I visited, this is to bring the Hotel up to 4*. The rooms now have flat screen tv (only 1 English news channel), mini fridge, new mattresses on the beds and duvets as opposed to blankets but the bed sheets needed to be much more generous to fit around the deeper mattress or by morning you find yourself on the mattress protector, the bathrooms are new but as mentioned by another reviewer, some attention to detail is missing. It wasn't until I got to my room, that I could see any sign of 4* changes because the reception looked exactly the same and the carpets in the corridors need replacing as no amount of hovering will help. There is new furniture in the dining area, albeit a bit of a maze trying to get in/out from your table. There will be a 'live' cooking area in the restaurant from next week. The food was acceptable, although certainly not 'piping hot'. Location is without fault, very close to the Centre and the train station - remember if you have heavy cases that the escalator in the train station is only available when you arrive, when you head back to the airport, there are lots of steps to carry your suitcase to the platform. You can purchase internet for your room but the signal drops out constantly so I couldn't recommend, I couldn't even stream YouTube, just go to reception for the free Wi-Fi. There is a charge for rooms facing the pool and a charge for the room safe (£20 refundable deposit for the key). I'm already booked for June, so I'm hoping to be able report a much more favourable experience. A BIG THANK YOU to all the staff working at the Hotel :) Collapse

At this moment in time this hotel is undergoing a refurbishment programme which eventually may turn it into a very nice hotel ,however that is the future .The Hotel is in an excellent location. Trains ,buses, shopping, eateries, beach are at the doorstep. After walking under the scaffolding cladding the front of the hotel, past the many unopened cardboard boxes in reception, we were met by a very nice receptionist who checked us into our junior suite without much ado. Around the corner we were introduced to three very old, very slow, rattling lifts, the inside of which were grafitti covered, with holes in the walls and broken menu frames, a really good first inpression. Upon entering the room on the seventh floor we were shocked first by the overwhelming stench of paint and drains closely followed by finding a covering of dust and dirt on the ancient and broken bedroom furniture, set off by an elderly grubby bedsetee which I understood was the sitting area of the “junior suite “.Upon consulting the nice receptionist, a cleaning crew was dispatched to the bedroom. Unfortunately as we had booked the suite there were no others available to allow us to be moved .The new bathroom did look the part but the attention to detail was missing; tile grout was not cleaned off the wall and floor, while the sealant was heavily used and left untrimmed around the shower frame. Noise from hammering and drilling and the constant smell was most unpleasant and irritating. In the freezing cold restaurant with guests dressed in winter coats ,the eating experience was basic. The buffet area was small and the food edible but uninspiring. Breakfast was a basic choice of processed cold meat and cheese, yogurt ,fruit ,fried or boiled eggs bacon, beans and tomatoes and cereals. There was a small selection of breads. The evening meal again was a basic limited choice and after the second night we decided to eat out. With some more money spent and with a little flair and imagination this could be the eccellent 4 star hotel they have already started to advertise it as but at the moment it doesnt even make the 3 stars it already has. Good luck with the refurbishments but make sure all rooms are given a deep clean before bringing back on line it’s what your paying guests deserve. Collapse

Hotel: Rooms basic (€5 euros extra each if you want pool view) cleaned daily staff friendly and helpful. Hotel entertainment catered for European tourists mainly but we enjoyed the 2 4 1 cocktails deal . Food in hotel was fresh..... catered for both English and European tourists. Dinner was a bit of a let down for me being semi vegi but my boyfriend really enjoyed it. Lots of red meat/fish on menu. Nice bonus having wine or sangria with your meal. the only major downside for me ... asked for a double bed got singles pushed together and if you have any sort of back trouble or even not used to sleeping in hard beds .... the beds were very (apt) hard. I tried putting blankets under the sheets- made no difference. Location was excellent..close to main square shops bars etc. We liked the fact we could hop on the train. Handy tip.. (train station is opposite airport) just pay for train from airport cheaper than transfers. €3-4 euros. Quick too. Highly recommend half day trip to Malaga- Picasso museum was brilliant plus nice vibes in the tourist quarter. Kids would like the bioparc in fengarola. I really enjoyed my holiday but would I stay at the hotel again? Probably not due to the beds but my boyfriend said he would. Collapse
