This hotel is about as perfect as can be possible

While the hotel is perfectly situated to enjoy Philadelphia, and the renovated bank building is beautiful , it's their amazing service! Guest rooms seem also to be recently updated. Lobby coffee and lounge are perfect for gathering. Just ideal!

Five months ago, I decided to attend the NASPA Conference at the Philadelphia Convention Center. One of the hotels listed as part of this event was the Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia. After doing my research, I was kind of skeptical of making a reservation to this hotel due to the mixed reviews found in Trip Advisor. I decided to risk it due to the high reputation of the hotel brand and I am also a gold member of the Ritz-Carlton Rewards program. A few days prior to my stay, I found out that I was upgraded from a regular guest room to a superior room and was hopeful of my future stay. As soon as I arrived early in the morning, they were more than accommodating in making sure that I got a room as soon as possible. All my requests made in advance were all taken in consideration and secured a superior room in a high floor, corner room and with a partial view of the City Hall. The room is spacious, the bed is heaven on earth and the bathroom is a dream come true. The hotel is right next to the City Hall and a few blocks away from the Convention Center. It certainly makes it easy to travel around and it is even close to Suburban station. What makes this hotel so special are each of the Ladies and Gentlemen that work back to back to please their guests. I would like to recognize two ladies - Esmarlin (Front Desk) and Nikiesha (Housekeeping). Both of them go above and beyond to make you feel special, respected and a valued member of the Ritz-Carlton Rewards Program. Both of them were more than professional and attentive to my needs during all the times that I approached them. They truly embody the gold standards and should be recognized for all their efforts. Other staff members that stood out during my stay were: Lisa (Bar Area), Lindita (Housekeeping), Marcus (Front Door), Esteban (Front Door), Ben (Front Desk). These individuals were hard working and always had willingness to help when I needed it the most. To the General Manager, you have a great team and I am truly thankful to have had the opportunity to experience your hotel the way I did during my business trip. I am hoping to come back soon and experience the Club Level experience next time. Collapse

We've just returned from a three night stay and much preferred it to our first visit. This time, we opted for a room without lounge access, but with an FHR package that included a generous breakfast stipend and dining credit. We were extremely impressed by the quality of room service. Breakfast each morning was truly some of the best we've eaten, the standout being the blueberry pancakes (enormous and tasty) and the crispy potatoes. We also enjoyed a lovely dinner at Aqimero. Check out their $35 pre-fixe. The hostess offered us the option as she knew I loved their sushi rolls (which were on this menu) and we were delighted with our choice. Quality was high and presentation matched. As for the staff, they seemed genuinely interested in their clientele, something I didn't remember from our past stay. The door staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. The young lady who checked us in spent a few minutes chatting with us while her colleague offered us bottled water, which was very appreciated after a journey, regardless of length. Also, we were granted early check-in, which was a pleasure as we had a full afternoon and evening ahead of us. I must also mention that there was a sweets platter, fruit bowl and bottle of sparkling wine to welcome us which was delightful as I love little room treats. As for the room itself, it was the same as the room We had during our last stay, with a couple of differences. Firstly, for our last stay, we booked a regular room. This time, it was supposed to be a superior room. Unless we were upgraded during our last stay and weren't told, we did not get the room category we paid for. To be fair, the room itself was very comfortable, spacious even with two double beds, uninterrupted views of City Hall and a large bathroom with separate tub and shower. But here's the thing... except for a print over the desk, there were no decorative touches in the room. No throw pillows or cushions, no easy chair or seating except for a single desk chair. Lastly, housekeeping was a bit erratic. As far as cleanliness, they were top notch, as well as the timeliness in getting the room serviced for the day. But, toiletries weren't replaced daily even when needed, nor was water or coffee. And there wasn't turndown at night, just a person with a cart asking if anything was needed. And that only happened one night out of three. But these considerations are minor. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and attentive, the food was top notch and the accommodations were comfortable. We will definitely return, next time perhaps giving the lounge a second try. Collapse

This property is gorgeous. And it is in a great location right in the middle of the city. The lobby bar is a great place for a cocktail! The rooms are a good size and the beds are super comfortable. Rooms are quiet too!
