I'll just tell you what happened & you judge if it's meets the Ritz-Carlton standard. Sent my shirt in for pressing only at 930pm and asked for it to be sent back by 730am. At 9am I checked and shirt wasn't returned, called to remind and was told shirt was on the way. Called again at 930am. Went into the shower. Called again at 945am. Waited. Called again at 10am. Waited. Called again at 10.15am. This time was told shirt couldn't be located. Called again at 1030am. No update. Finally left my room at 1045am as I was running really late for meetings, had to wear a used shirt as the one I sent in for pressing was the last pair I had. Spoke to hotel staff at 11.05am through phone - shirt still not located. No idea where it was. Staff eventually resolved the issues but I lost about 2.5 hours. If getting a shirt pressed needs so much effort & time - why do we pay a premium to stay at this hotel? Collapse
Perfect if you have business nearby - great service; but not necessarily in a nice area

Ritz Carlton Atlanta Peachtree We arrived after a very long day, And service and efficiency at this hotel did not disappoint and were all around wonderful. Valet was easy efficient, and they asked us if we wanted help with our bags. Check-in was just as easy and efficient. The room was clean, the lobby was clean. If you have business in the nearby downtown area, this hotel is perfect. It's an oasis of calm in what otherwise struck me as a somewhat uncomfortable area to navigate late night alone. On the other hand, if you have business in the suburbs, or are visiting Atlanta for reasons other than needing to be nearby this hotel for an early morning meeting for which Atlanta-area traffic would be an impediment to an extra hour of extra sleep, then maybe try to find a hotel in the suburbs, closer to where you plan to meet or play. I have no qualms with the hotel itself, but trying to find a nearby dinner that wasn't at a sports bar or a chain restaurant wasn't an easy feat. We stopped at a nearby CVS on the way home from (our mediocre) dinner, only to be followed around by someone begging for money in the CVS. Walking the few blocks back to the hotel weren't much better, and it wasn't even past 10pm. It felt like San Francisco near Union Square. I will comfortably take the NYC subway at 2am alone, but this was was honestly uncomfortable, and I was even more at ease than my colleague (who was from Queens). Positives: - The room was CLEAN - Three bath towels, washcloths, and hand towels were ample for my use - Recent-looking plugs were installed at bed height above the bedside tables to make for easy overnight phone and tablet charging - The room was a nice size for a lounge chair as well as a desk - There were ample hangars in the closet - Robe was provided - Room was tastefully furnished in a very classic hotel style - Nice counter top space in the bathroom - Iron & ironing board provided in the closet - Loved the separate entry foyer for my suitcase, and the table and mirror next to the door - A small "Honor" bar contained a handful of items: nuts, chips, etc. - Bed was turned down at my late arrival, with chocolates! - A small bottle of water was offered to me at reception for my room Critiques: - A mirror was provided, but a full-length mirror to check out my full outfit in the morning would have made me happier - Room was somewhat dark, even with all of the lights on high (this is my hotel room pet-peeve) - Nice shower head, but it didn't matter as there was *very poor water pressure*: it took me an extra few minutes just to get the shampoo out of my hair - I was looking for a really good farm-to-table food recommendation, I didn't really get that from the front desk - near to the hotel was fine, but the hotel should have some fine dining options (whether formal or casual) readily available to suggest to guests who don't want to watch TV while eating Products/Toiletries: - Asprey products were provided in a very light and easy scent: shampoo, bath gel, conditioner, hand soap - Mouthwash - Cotton balls and q-tips Other: - There was a little hotel store downstairs to pick up generic snacks, water or Ritz-Carlton branded products - Bar downstairs (we did not visit) - Restaurant on the second floor: breakfast was passable, not terrible, not fantastic. The fruit plate was amazing, the eggs not so much Arriving: While the address of the hotel is on Peachtree St., the actual entrance driveway to the hotel is on perpendicular Ellis St. NE. Would I stay again? Yes, if I had business downtown near the hotel. Though, I will likely try to find a hotel in the Buckhead area for my next visit. Collapse

The staff, concierge, reception areas and overall feel of the hotel were wonderful. Rooms were small (bathrooms were very small and difficult to get in/out of. Location was not great - would have preferred to be in mid-town, as there were many homeless on the street surrounding the hotel, and few places to eat or drink in safe walking distance in the evenings. Management clearly takes good care of this location, however, which helps to make up for the location. Collapse

This property has some truly elegant elements - but then the actual quality leaks out a bit around the edges. The restaurant is really not that good - I'd equate it with a sort of not great capital grill with a thin menu and mediocre (in some cases terrible) quality product. Take the easiest thing on the menu to ace - Shrimp Cocktail. These medium sized slimy (aka - packaged feeling) with a cocktail sauce that if not out of a plastic squeeze bottle certainly emulates it. In other words - small rooms, mediocre quality, good service, but way over priced for what they deliver in this market. Collapse

We recently stayed at The Ritz-Carlton, Atlanta twice. While at this property, we experienced the following: • Standard accommodations • In-room dining and hotel restaurant • Gift shop • Valet About the Rooms Each of our visits was for a quick overnight (while traveling through the area), so we spent little time on site or in the room. Though both rooms were standard, non-suite accommodations, one room was larger than the other (featuring a larger entryway). The rooms at this property are small for the brand, so if you’re going to be in town for any length of time, a suite would be a good idea. Aside from being on the small side, the rooms feel dated, right down (or up) to the popcorn ceiling. One might think that this hotel was a Marriott in a former life. These items aside, the rooms are still decidedly of the brand. Everything was immaculately clean and well maintained; Frette linens were tucked tightly around the down-topped mattress; Asprey toiletries, sewing kit, and shoe-care products were on hand; a Nespresso machine was ready to go; etc. This hotel is positioned downtown in what seems to be a popular area with a fair amount of foot traffic. Because we drove in late and out early, I can’t say much about the neighborhood, but it feels like one that I wouldn’t venture into without good reason. Also, the hotel seems to offer cheap rates on the weekend, so it draws a less-than-typical crowd of concertgoers and partiers. One of the rooms on our hallway was hosting a large party that lasted until the wee hours of the morning. About Dining Dinner in the restaurant was average. The hostess was extremely friendly and welcoming. Our server was polite, but wasn’t always around when we would have liked. The bar seemed to be the central feature of the entire front room, but I think separate dining rooms were available in the back. We used in-room dining for breakfast. The food arrived the minute it was promised, and everything was tasty and well presented. Again, the service was what you’d expect for the brand, featuring bone china, a full spread of condiments, etc. About the Gift Shop The hotel has a small, but well-stocked, gift shop adjacent to the front desk. These shops are harder to find in the brand’s inner-city locations, so we ducked in for a quick browse and found needed items that we’d left at home. The assortment was good, and products were of high quality. We had already checked out when we found items to purchase, but the gentleman working at the front desk was happy to add onto our folio for us. About the Valet The valet was efficient and friendly, but the gentlemen weren’t very helpful when we tried to rearrange the bags that they had mis-loaded into the back of our vehicle (they couldn't get the lift gate to close). I made the mistake of tipping before getting their help, so they quickly ran off to serve the next guest while I unpacked and repacked the vehicle. Overall, this hotel was just what we needed when passing through Atlanta. The property provides high-class amenities in a full-service atmosphere. The rooms may not exude the current design of the brand, but the people working there try, and they deliver a product consistent with expectations. I would definitely stay at this property again.
