Location: The hotel is located right in the city center, just a couple of minutes from the main shopping area, directly connected to Starhill Gallery and the main shopping mall -Pavilion is only across the road. Perfect location for business, shopping and exploring the city. Hotel & Rooms: Hotel is currently under renovation of the main entrance, so side entrance is used as an alternative main entrance. Hence, the arrival experience is not what you would expect from Ritz Carlton and the walk to rooms is slightly inconvenient as you need to reach elevators via escalators and walking through one of the restaurants. Overall, however, the hotel has very nice feel. Classic design with dominant use of wood, leather and marble creates feel of classic luxury. The rooms (room reviewed is Deluxe Room) are spacious and nicely designed. Right next to the entrance is walk-in wardrobe with sufficient space for clothing storage. Large and spacious bathroom is opposite the walk-in closet. The bathroom is beautiful and very spacious. The bedroom itself is also spacious with comfortable king size bed, working desk and sofa with a coffee table. Electric plugs are conveniently located right above the working desk surface and are suitable for any type of plugs. My only negative comment is the access to minibar and amenities, which are built-in underneath the TV. However, the doors don't have any handles or opening, so you often struggle to open them. Definitely an area for improvement. Service and cleanliness: Check-in process was quick, smooth and friendly at the same time. The rooms and all areas are spotless. However, on my initial arrival, the bell boys did not offer me any help with my luggage when walked from my taxi to the entrance. As there were a couple of cars blocking entrance, my taxi stopped a bib farther away. Although they greeted me and could see my luggage, no help was offered.. The biggest disappointment was when I was ordering my in-room dining one occasion First, the phone had to ring several times until I got an answer. Instead of the expected polite and friendly greeting, I was asked - "Your room number". Honestly, I was out of words for a few seconds. I was definitely not expecting anything like this. Firstly, i would expect that the person on the other side of line can see this on display, secondly, greeting like "Good Evening" and the usual "How can I assist you" would be an absolute minimum that I would expect. After giving my order, there was no repeating order, no thank you, no mentioning about the time of delivery. This call would fail in 3-star hotel, not talking about brand like Ritz Carlton. Restaurants: I have ordered two times in-room dining. The delivery was within 30 minutes both times, the service was friendly and efficient and I really enjoyed the food I ordered, in particular the Chicken Rice was really nice. Breakfast selection is not very large, but presentation and quality is good. Coffee quality is however, below average and I would again expect more from hotel of such a standards. Overall: Perhaps I caught the hotel not in the best time. Under partial renovation and with number of mistakes in service. While the hardware is very nice and meets the expectations, the service is not on the level you would expect from luxury brand like Ritz Carlton. Definitely some work needs to be done here. Despite the negatives, I am still awarding four stars as most of the time my experience was positive, with exception of the mentioned two cases. Collapse

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights last week, the location of the hotel is great, close to all the major attractions. The live band that they had on in the lobby and the library every day was amazing, they were super friendly and played really well - a great touch to our afternoon tea and evening drinks. The buffet breakfast was super tasty with everything you can imagine. There are two pools (one exclusively for adults and one for kids) which is a great idea. Staff were generally very good except for one occasion where we were promised to be attended to in 15 minutes and ended up waiting for about 1hr30. I also felt that the staff on frequent occasions didn't really acknowledge myself (being the female) and only acknowledged my boyfriend, which is maybe due to the asian culture maybe? Overall though, a great place to stay in KL! P.s. They leave brownies in your room every evening, and they are literally the best brownies we have ever had! Collapse

The hotel is great in many aspect but the friendly and helpful staffs makes it fantastic. Rooms were great and hotel deco was nice with flowers. Location is very good as food and shopping are easily available.
