The room was spacious enough for two person with two big luggage. Stayed there two nights. Despite being on low floor and next to the road, I was still able to sleep. The only down side is when you are a light sleeper, then the sound of traffic may be a nuisance. You may want to request for a room away from the main road. The room comes with simple toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, bath gel and soap bar). It’s a standing shower. Toilet and shower are connected. The room is equipped with iron and ironing board, kettle and some coffee and tea sachets. There is a safe in the room too. Bed is the soft kind, because I love softer Bed, I have no issue with that. It’s winter now, but the room temperature can be adjusted to a comfortable range (not just heater) The breakfast selection was good. Hot spread with cold spread. The only thing which I am not use to is the fruit juice concoction using concentrate. Other than that I am ok! Will definitely choose this place if I visit Vienna again. Collapse

We stayed at this hotel in late November to go to the Vienna Christmas markets. Although a little out of the way, there is a metro stop right on the corner and 5 to 10 minutes to Karlsplatz and Stephanplatz. Only a stop or two from the Schloss Schoenbrun as well (Pardon my spelling) The hotel is clean and room was comfy. It was well equipped with shampoo, conditioner etc. The bath towels in the room (with the "stripes") were very rough and not very absorbent. The ones in the sauna were much nicer so I brought several up each night. The bathroom window was frosted in the middle but not around the edge. Not much privacy. Didn't like that at all. Thermostat didn't work too well and the room was quite hot. Very nice sauna and workout area. Did not do breakfast so can't comment. At times staff was very friendly and helpful, other times a little "cool'. Overall we had a very nice stay and would recommend this hotel Collapse
Good, but could be better

I struggled between awarding this hotel a rating of 3 or 4 based on my 2-week stay. In general, there's a lot to like but there are also (alarmingly) quite a few basic things that need to be improved. First, the positives: - As a Marriott Platinum member, I was upgraded to a Club room - and the room was very spacious with tons of storage, allowing me to put things away and feel 'at home' - The breakfast (free for Marriott Plats) was plentiful and tasty, but there was no variety from day to day. After two weeks, it felt monotonous - The hotel is quite modern and both the amenities and finishes are of a good standard - The rates for this hotel are very good, especially for Marriott Plats who get breakfast free. The so-so aspects: - There is nothing that can be done about the location, but there is very little of note in the immediate area (outside of the Schonbrunn), and for a long-term stay, this can be felt quite acutely - Customer service was a bit hit and miss. There were a couple of front desk agents who were genuinely pleased to interact, but one or two displayed either an arrogant attitude or did not seem interested in providing assistance. The very negative aspect: - The wifi in this hotel is to put it simply, terrible (slow, intermittent and has to be reset every day). I have at least two more long-term stays booked in 2018, and I'm considering canceling them just for this reason, and despite my Marriott status. Collapse

I stayed for 4 nights and I have to say I can't think of anything I can complain about. The hotel is overall kept very neat and clean, the staff is polite and doesn't get in your way. The hotel is right across one of the main subway lines as well as one of the main boulevards leading to the center which is quite close. The breakfast is very good if I compare it to many other 4stars I've stayed at. My room had everything I would ever need, including a clothes iron and board, every day fresh supply of bath supplements, in general very happy with the hotel! Collapse

The Renaissance Wein is centrally located in Vienna, near the subway, which makes it convenient as one sets out to see the city. Its located across the road and within walking distance of the Schonbrunn Palace. It is a striking black and white building outside, setting the stage for modern elegance inside. We enjoyed our 2-night stay as part of a tour and breakfast in the Breakfast Room in the Lobby. This was a nice spread in a very pleasant dining area. The hosts at the registration desk were helpful and eager to please. Onsite (Underground Garage) parking is available for a fee, by the hour or daily. There is a Fitness Center with a sauna, and High Speed Internet with Wi-Fi Access is also complimentary. They allow pets, with some restrictions, too. Popular for conventions and other meetings. Collapse
