wonderful staff and extremely friendly as well as helpful. the first morning we were sitting in the lobby and an older gentleman sits behind my friend. long story short, he snatched her purse while I went up to the room and while my other friend went to ask a quick question. keep your purses close to you and on you at all times. I told her this in London as well, and she didn't take me serious and sure enough, the first morning in Paris...stolen. everything was taken...money passport, her wedding ring, etc. it cost her an extra day in paris and about $800 in the end because she had to stay behind to get her passport at the US consulate which wasn't open until Monday morning. however through all of it, the hotel staff was extremely helpful. btw, the breakfasts were okay when it came to the eggs and such. the croissants and breads however were magnificent. bon jour! First the hotel location is great. It is very near to quatre temps mall where we are can acess to variety of shops (clothes shoes jewellery accessories and dining) to Auchan market and also to metro and train station (last defense station for metro and RER) .Through this station you can reach directly disney land,Arc de triomph, louvre and rue rivoli and the concorde .As for the hotel, there is a possibility of having one room with two double beds .So if you are a family of 4 persons .This will be a good choice. Of course the room is clean. Room service is fast and friendly. I forgot to tell you that there is a kettle in the room with tea coffee and cups in case you something to drink. What I have found also great is the breakfast not because of the variety but also because of the quality. Again. The staff is friendly. If I go again to Paris I will stay in the same hotel. Collapse

Stayed for a week in June. Very good location with a reasonable price. It's just several minutes walk from La Defense metro station. So either RER A or Line 1 gets directly to the city center. As a gold member I had a chance to visit the concierge lounge. The lounge is super great on weekdays. There is a nice coffee machine, all day sodas and water, morning breakfast and evening appetizer during the weekdays. Appetizer is very delicious and offers quite a lot of French special food. During the weekends there are no appetizers and the breakfast is moved to the regular restaurant. However actually we preferred the lounge for breakfast. They are quite similar but less people. And again there is a super nice coffee machine. The entrance of the hotel is quite not easy to find during the evening. So make sure you did some research before you come with lots of luggages. It might take forever to coem with a taxi or drive, I have no comments for finding it easily. I could only give some advice if you come by metro. As I remember, it should be getting out from the exit 2 of the station, face the Grande Arche, walk through it from the left, and you'll it the RENAISSANCE. The entrance is two floors below the ground, which is quite, inconvenient. Very inconvenient actually during the night. But during the daytime or after check in you could use the entrance on the ground floor. Rooms are good, clean. Service is good. The only criticism is that the key card is very easy to get defective, even I never put it with my cellphone and other cards. Get used to it. It will feel that the hotel is really good. Collapse

This property is really hard to find. My driver missed the entrance twice. It's surrounded by a ton of construction. Be prepared for the lovely sounds of jackhammers at 7am! Check in is convenient. However they only have one concierge so if she has the day off there's no one to help you. The front desk has limited knowledge of surrounding area. There is only one restaurant/bar on site and it's ok. Limited menu options and the service is ok as well. Each time we went they seemed "put out" that they had to serve us. The only other off site options are at a metro concourse. So basically a McDonald's and chipotle. No other restaurants near the property. We stayed here for the club lounge since I'm a Marriott platinum member. It was mediocre and closed on the weekends and holidays. We unknowingly checked in over a holiday weekend...... The rooms were nice and clean. The cleaning staff does a great job and is very friendly. The rooms had new decor. The biggest plus is being so close to the metro but I wouldn't stay here again. Not a nice property for friends who want to relax in Paris. The Marriott Opera property was much better. Collapse

Everything in this hotel screams modern quality. Spacious rooms, luxurious beds, great bathroom and perfect shower. The location is great - for business travellers - and they even have a nice terrace. What's not to like. Well, it is an expensive hotel. That's part of the deal. So I don't mind much if they charge a tenner for a single glass of rosé wine. But what really drives me mad, is the audacity of charging for internet use. They don't charge for the water you use, or the tv you watch. Toilet paper, soap, creams and shampoos are all for free. So why charge for internet use? And when I say charge, it's not a minor thing. €6,50, if I remember correctly. Per hour, that is. And per device. And that is only if you're good with a low bandwidth. A decent bandwidth will set you back even more. €8,50 per hour, or part of an hour. €17 to watch a movie, JUST FOR THE BANDWIDTH. In my vocabulary, that's called a ripoff. And I hated it. Collapse
