We were here on a full board holiday and the food was some of the best we have had on a buffet basis. The chefs and serving staff were artists as well as cooks. The food was always cooked fresh with a choice that should please everyone whether a vegetarian, fish fanatic or carnivore. Salads and roasts changed daily and there was always 2 fish dishes on. More importantly the staff were friendly, happy and willing to go that bit further to help. I believe costs for non full pension guests are around 12E for dinner which is incredibly good value considering the amount of choices. Rooms at the hotel are standard large hotel style. Those on the front (even numbers) are NW facing, those on the poolside (odd numbers) SE. The downstairs spa and pool was pleasant and warm if too small to really swim in unless you are a goldfish (it is sort of pentagonal so we had to swim round and round!) The outdoor pool looked lovely but in Nov I wasn't sufficiently tempted to try it. Our only gripe was that there was only one room downstairs which was bar, dance room, meeting room and card/quiet! area all at once. A difficult mix of use which wasn't really suitable for any. Very nice hotel! Definitely returning in the summer.

I'm currently still at the hotel from being here a week (full board) as I fly back home tomorrow but I am going to give feedback now so I don't forget. I was due to come here last month but as there was a problem with my booking due to the hotel being fully booked, I was then placed in Salou Park 1 but I'm happy I had the chance to stay in this hotel aswell as it is a very nice place to stay. There is a big selection of foods to choose from such as meat, rice, chips, pasta, spag bol etc, also a nice variety of deserts. The restaurant was very spacious, a massive room so there was always somewhere for you to sit. I was very keen on one of the waiters as he was the only person to make the effort to speak to me let alone make the effort to speak English, unfortunately I'm not sure on what his name is but he's tall with spiky black hair. (I gave him a tip to say thank you!) but everyone will like his service he provides! The reception staff were also very pleasant especially Max, he's very helpful and always smiling and polite and says hello. My room was changed everyday, the sheets were changed, towels were changed, floors were wiped you name it, the cleaners did a very good job. Also, there's a few shops in the hotel which sell clothes, watches, perfumes and lots of gifts to take home. I can't really say anything about the bar as I wasn't in there much but when I was, the bar staff were always kind and brought whatever you wanted to you. The only bad thing I could say is I wouldn't return to the hotel at this time of year again as it is Winter and the pool was never used, I would of liked to of gone in but not if anyone else wasn't. The weather was nice the first few days but the last 2 days it had rained. A lot of shops/bars are shut due to the season so there wasn't a lot of places to visit but I was happy staying at the hotel. But yeah, a big thank you to the receptionist Max and the waiter (black spiky hair), they made the stay at the hotel more pleasant and I would definitely return here in the summer. I highly recommend it to anyone to come here! Collapse

Stayed at the end of October and arrived to find we had no reservation! As it was a Sunday and nothing could be done they gave us a room but wanted to keep our passports which I wasn't very happy about. Marisa came on duty and agreed to just keeping a copy of my credit card until she could sort the next day which she duly did. Although we are still unsure who was at fault Thomas Cook or the hotel. Marisa was very helpful so thanks to her. Rooms were clean and couldn't fault housekeeping. Food was good with something for everyone. Our only gripe would be poor choice of cereals at breakfast but plenty of other options. Good location for the beach (10 min walk) and theme park (25 min walk). Outside pool too cold to use but we loved the heated indoor pool (swim hat required you can buy there although we had to wait as they had sold out). Any age can use this pool for charge of 6 euros each and there is steam room and sauna too. We were impressed with Salou thought it was lovely and clean and loved the theme park. Collapse

The hotel was nice, it was in a decent location for the parks and the beach. The entertainment was a bit hit and miss, more miss but I believe that was because we went in October. There could have been a bit more choice of food as well, though the pool bar was OK for snacks. Can't fault the staff, though 1 guy at the pool bar could maybe do with smiling every now and again. I would recommend the hotel to anyone thinking of going to salu. Collapse

Arrived at hotel. Room not ready had to leave bags and go for a walk for 2 hours in clothes from UK so tracksuit etc as it was late October we went. Soon as we got in rooms no English tv and no kettle or cups to make drinks. Beds really uncomfortable hard. Food not so good and if you go half board you don't get free drinks with tea you have to pay so it totals up once you've been there a while. We came home a week early didn't enjoy the holiday at all nothing for kids to do Salou was dirty and graffiti on walls hotels etc. Lots of foreigners in this hotel who were unpleasant and spiteful. Never go here again. Collapse
