There are so many good things to say about this hotel. First, it is close and walking distance from Lowdermilk beach. Second, it has a wonderful breakfast in a restaurant setting. Third, the grounds are immaculate with a large and beautiful pool. Fourth, the staff is especially nice and helpful and appreciate loyal customers. Fifth, the hotel is only a five minute drive from downtown Naples. Sixth, the rooms are newly remodeled and very clean. Lastly, we have stayed at the Ramada eight times for at least five days at a time and have always greatly enjoyed the stay. Collapse

I usually get a hotel room in the $200-$300/night range. Naples is expensive in the winter, but my husband and I were there for a quick business trip so it was cost over luxury. For Feb 12th-14th, I found a Standard King bed room at Ramada Naples at hotels.com for $127/night through Tripadvisor, which was a steal compared to similar hotel/motels close by. The room, which is in great condition, looks just like the picture. The grounds are pretty and well maintained. The pool is a good size with clear water and well kept, but the only access point is a pool ladder. Breakfast is included. I wouldn't call it great because the eggs aren't real, but it was filling and offered a lot of choices. Yes, the toilet and tub are right up against each other and you have to side step to close the door. You can't leave the door open to change cloths out of the view of your room mate because the mirrors are arranged so that you can see directly into the bath area from the bed.More good things are great water pressure, hot with no chlorine smell. Not even the towels smelled of chlorine. Big cold fridge. Fresh paint over all the stucco walls, no funky smell, weird stains or bugs. Now the rest is only a pain if you are a light sleeper with back issues. The mattress is old school with little padding, firm coils and metal sides which means if someone moves the whole mattress shakes. My husband was fine with this, but he is the one who tosses and turns. The air conditioning works great but. again, its older so it sounds like you're sleeping in a plane. My husband liked the "white noise" but when it shut on and off it jolted me awake. You can hear minor street noise when the a/c isn't running, but you can hear the birds chirp as well. Yes, there is no elevator but the walk ways and stairs are wide and well maintained. The adjoining restaurant has attractive nautical decor and is family friendly. There is seating around the pool and drink specials between 3pm-6pm. Catch 41 does not provide the breakfast although that is where you are served btw 7am -9:30 during week 10am on weekend. The hotel and restaurant staff are very nice! House keeping didn't come to our room until 3pm just as we returned from the beach so they left us a note stating their room cleaning policy and that they would clean tomorrow. Be aware that the hotel does not offer glassware or wine/bottle openers so bring your own. Laws prevent the restaurant from opening bottles for you. You can't take their glassware back to your room. For the same price, I recommend this place or return again. I would bring better ear plugs and go with queen beds next time so I could sleep on my own. Collapse

When our aircon was hit by lightning we needed somewhere to stay quickly. The reviews of the Ramada here encouraged us, as did the price. However, surely other reviewers could only rate this place highly if they had stayed in inferior hotels and thought this better...but this place has set my benchmark as the worst hotel I have ever stayed in anywhere in the world and I hope never to experience, and proved that you can't trust all reviews. Perhaps it was fine 30-years ago, but the place is tired, including the staff, fixtures and fittings. Retire them all and bring in the wrecking ball. Breakfast also set the benchmark for the worst in the world. The eating area was packed and dirty, the coffee tasted like mud. Cue for old joke, 'waiter this coffee tastes like mud.' Waiter, 'I'm sorry, it was only ground 30-minutes ago.' Except there was no waiter to complain too. I fancied an egg for breakfast and discovered that they only had Egg Patties. What a revolting pre-cooked concoction, an abomination that a chicken gave one of its eggs for without any apology. Surely, in a busy hotel they could have a kitchen that could prepare something better? Never again, and this proves that if the price of a hotel room is low, it doesn't mean that you are getting a bargain...it's just as likely that you'll be getting rubbish. Collapse
