Visiting London again y this time to meet the family in London. We arrived early and were able to park the car, £10 for 24 hours, even with the cost of the tube it's cheaper than driving and parking in London. A 10 min walk to Asda gets you a bus to Richmond. (30 min trip) A 10 min walk toward down the main road will get you a bus to Twickenham Stadium or on into Twickenham or further 5 min walk will get you to Hounslow mainline station. But for a trip into London the Piccadilly line will take you to Earls court, Knightsbridge, Leicester Square, Covent garden and Kings Cross to name but a few all without changing, or going east to Heathrow for a princely sum of under £10. As regards the hotel I've said before that is comfortable, quiet despite its location on the Heathrow flightpath, rooms spacious, clean and worth modern updated bathrooms. We found the staff friendly and helpful. All in all its good value for money, not a palace, but an affordable price. We'd will use it again. Collapse

We wanted a location close to Heathrow for the night before out flight back to USA. We booked 3 rooms for our family of 6. Our twin sons didn't tell us until the next morning that their room smelled like an ash tray. I checked it out myself, and when I reported it to the front desk, I was told that was "impossible." Two of the three rooms had no hot water for morning showers. I thought our lodging included the breakfast. The room literature indicated "FREE BREAKFAST BUFFET." In the morning, after cold showers and some of us smelling like cigarette smoke, we went down for the dismal breakfast. The coffee/tea machine was out-of-order. The juice machine was out-of-order. I was told later that "we only had to ask for juice and coffee." I ate toast because the other buffet items were dried out or otherwise unappetizing. But we made do, until, upon checkout, I was told we owed 15 pounds (about $18.75 US) per person for breakfast. I had already reported the other problems, at which point the man at the front desk told me, "You're only trying to get something free." Another employee offered to discount our breakfasts by 50% in the spirit "of good will." An unpleasant way to end our vacation, to say the least. Collapse
Has Potential to be 3 🌟 but easily a 2.5 🌟 establishment

The lobby is inviting. However, it is extremely cold, making it unwelcoming! Since the restaurant is on the lobby it made eating there very uncomfortable unless you wore a light jacket. Speaking of the restaurant, the breakfast isn't all that great. The best thing was the made to order omelettes...very fresh and delicious. Though, it's not worth the price of breakfast. The bartender greeting you is very pleasant and friendly. The desk staff were friendly and accommodating during check-in. Check-in was very easy. However, they attempted to collect an additional fee (not a hold for incidentals) for a prepaid reservation. It took 2 days of my 5 day stay to sort it out but all went well and the staff were very professional trying to get it figured out. The rooms leave quite a bit to be desired. The carpet, though I'm certain is clean as I saw staff cleaning, but it doesn't look like it! It looks like carpet underpadding. I didn't feel comfortable without my slippers, even with socks on. The rooms do not offer microwaves or mini refrigerators so you can't bring anything with you to keep. They don't even offer ice buckets except at the bar. However, the bartender was gracious enough to provide me with a large one full of ice so that I could put my light snacks. That would have worked really well provided the room was not scorching hot. The ice fully melted within a couple of hours. The thermostat didn't seem to work well for changing the temperature; we had to turn it off in order to get any relief. We decided to sit in the lobby one evening to have a few drinks and cool off. As there were no signs posted that the lobby was closed or off limits after certain hours, we were shocked as the late desk clerk actually turned off the television AND the lights while we were still sitting there talking. He never said a word to us...just turned everything off and went into a back room. Very odd and rude! Other than that experience, they stay was okay and the staff, overall, were great! The hotel is a good distance from central London but easily accessible by the Tube. It's not a bad commute. If updates to the property are made, added amenities, a bit more staff training, and hospitality this hotel could easily be a beginner 3 star property. I, personally, would not choose to stay here in the immediate near future. Collapse

Everything ok, but nothing exciting

It's a safe and basic hotel, a bit worn out. Breakfast is very basic. On the positive side, staff is friendly and location is great - just a 2 min walk from the tube station and the main shopping area of Hunslow.
