We had a lovely stay at the Ramada Apollo Amsterdam. The free shuttle from A9 could only transport 8 people (20 in the queue) which we were lucky enough to get on. Thankfully, our room was ready for check in at 11.30 (checked in next to our friends room) as oppose to the stated 3pm check in. The room was adequate however it did lack storage facilities and the shower could do we a barrier to stop the water going on the bathroom floor (same issue for our friends). The tea and coffee were good and the beds were comfy. As recommended by other users the tram stop 13 takes you right into the city which is a ten minute ride (I recommend getting the day passes). Due to the snow the roof top bar was closed on our first night however it was open the second night. The view is spectacular. The drinks were great too. We enjoyed quite a few G & Ts. Overall we had an enjoyable stay and would come back again. Collapse

Visited Amsterdam from London on the 10-12 Feb 2017 with friends. we stayed at the Ramada Hotel the hotel is modern and located 20 minutes from Amsterdam city center by Tram. The tram stop is 2 minutes walk from the hotel and you can get a 72 hrs Tram ticket from the souvenir shop at the hotel. there is a free shuttle bus to the hotel from the airport and it runs every 40 minutes. Don't let connexion desk at the airport tell you there is no buss like they told us because they want us to take a Taxi. go to information if you have any questions. The shuttle gets full quickly weather or not the seats are full the driver will say bus full. It takes 20 minutes for the bus to reach the hotel if you want to take the train it will be 40 minutes to get to the hotel. The staff are fab especially Chantal who is very help full. The hotel require a 50 eruo per night as a deposit and there is a 7 euro per day for city tax. The hotel is clean the room I stayed in was 1627 which is a Deluxe room on the 16th floor. I was disappointed in the room because I expected more but that is a personal choice. The room had joined twin beds which were comfortable until the mattress started sliding apart, the view is gorgeous. There is one usb charger for phones or tablet, if you ask at reception you can get a plug or take a universal charger. I went to the bar and the bartender Paul with the black earring on Saturday night was great made me a lovely creamy cocktail. I can't comment on the food as I didn't eat at the hotel went into town for breakfast and dinner. The Tram stop running about Twelve midnight. Remember to book your shuttle back to the airport in time ask at reception and the time chart is at the entrance, Overall a lovely stay would I go back to this hotel? yes, would I recommend this hotel? yes because it is a lovely friendly hotel nothing is too challenging for the staff. Just remember that if you are fussy it may not be up your street but it is a lovely Hotel. The reception area on check out was a bit dirty with leaves and spillage. There is no bath only shower which was disappointing but house keeping will come with fresh linen and towel. Leave the sign on the door for the room to be clean when you leave or let reception know when you are ready for your room to be cleaned. Collapse

This was our room at the ramada hotel with a panoramic view of the city it's a good quality room very clean and tidy and the staff here are faultless they will go the extra mile for you if you need them too one of the only downsides is that its a bit far away from city centre so I would recommend buying the 48hr tram ticket or however long your here for. They don't say you need to leave €150 deposit on arrival and room service charges €10 just to use room service so beware of that but overall I would highly recommend the ramada if you don't mind traveling to and from the city centre ever time. Nice looking hotel close to public transportation to the city centre. However, a few incidents makes me think twice about booking this hotel at a later occasion. I decided to try out the restaurant for lunch (on a positive note - the restaurant has an amazing view!!), and the service was horrible. It took them 15minutes just to hand me a menu, and another 10minutes to get back to me to take my order. After the food arrived no one seemed to care about me anymore, and after a while I had to approach the bar staff to ask for the bill.. great place to have a few drinks during night time - a lively and cozy atmosphere! Upon checkout I planned to take the shuttle to Schiphol at noon. However, when I entered the reception from the elevator at 11:50, I noticed the shuttle leaving the grounds. Checkout took a while and when I finally got to check out and ask about the shuttle, I was told that the shuttle had already left and a reservation was recommeneded. Otherwise the shuttle would leave earlier. No one had told me about this need for reserving space on the shuttle at any time, neither was there any information about this in the hotel room. I had to wait for 1,5hrs for the next shuttle, and luckily I had enough time to catch my flight. The receptionist was eventually helpful and gave me the shuttle fee for free as a compensation. The location of this hotel was quite unusual; it was outside of the Amsterdam Central, however, close enough to my conference centre which was brilliant! It is located next to a park, if you like a morning or evening stroll. It is a well-known hotel and location, and getting uber is so easy. A good selection of breakfast buffet too. The hotel also provided a shuttle transfer from and to the Schipol airport. The only thing that I did not like was the rude shuttle driver from the hotel to the airport. It was in the afternoon of 5th October (around 5pm-ish) and several of the passengers, including myself, did not have a shuttle pass/ticket, as we were not given one. The driver forced us to go back to the front desk and obtain the pass/ticket or else he would refuse to take us to the airport. This hotel would have got a five star rating from me if it was not for the rude driver. I hope that the management of the hotel could look into this matter, albeit late. Collapse
