Stayed for 4 nights during Christmas with my family. Hotel is clean and good enough for what we've paid for. Staff were friendly and accommodating especially the front desk and housekeeping. Location is not that far from Rome's landmarks which is a plus. However, the noise from the corridor and the other rooms was such a disturbance. We happened to have Spanish speaking families near our room and the noise was uncontrollable that we couldn't sleep until they kept quite. I am not sure about the sound proof rooms but this was my worries before we travelled when I saw some other reviews about the noise which I have confirmed myself. All in all, it was a great stay and I hope the management would do something about the noise being heard inside the room so not to ruin one's sleep. Collapse

DO NOT GO THERE! (unless you're looking for a semi-fancy motel)

I chose to stay at Raganelli hotel when I came for a business trip (what a mistake) since, although the price was very affordable, it got great reviews here. You here from time to time that reviews on Tripadvisor are not genuine. This is the proof. I was given a room which was about 0.5x0.5 meters, with a mini foam bed (see attached pictures) and the rest of the room smaller than the bed. The bathroom was even smaller. This reminded me of very small ship cabins back in the 80s. Suffice it to say that I paid for a standard-sized room. I was shocked, since even when I lived on a budget in my 20s I have never seen anything like this. I complained at the reception and instead was given a standard size room. The caveat: it's at the basement level. Meaning noise, meaning weird ceiling windows that cast light from the street/lobby? and noise from the street and from people walking by your door on the way up or to the "dining room" located very close. The whole property is neglected. The elevator is scratched everywhere - the walls, you can't make out the floor number since someone scratched it. Looks like an elevator in a building at a dangerous neighborhood. In the room itself other nice surprises included two sinks, with one without a working faucet. An ironing board the size the fits munchkin clothes. The dining room had a very basic selection, and the size doesn't hold all occupants of the hotel. I had to wait for someone to get up to sit at a table, and had to clean out the table myself. The team at reception are very unhelpful, rolling their eyes and being shocked whenever you ask for something very basic that other "4 star" hotels would accommodate easily. Don't be mistaken. THIS IS NOT A 4 STAR HOTEL. Rome is a Mediterranean country. As someone who came from one, I know that sometimes when someone owning a business knows someone, these things can just happen without justification. There is absolutely no justification for 4 stars here. Maybe 2, on a good day. Collapse

We stayed here for three nights in September on a Tour de Rome ! The location wasn't central but considering the price and distance to the main attractions it was perfect. It was a 15 minute business journey from the Vatican. A 5 min bus journey and 4/5 stops to Trevi foundation, Colosseum, Piaza Navona and the Pantheon. We decided to put away Google maps and followed direction given to us by our well informed, friendly and accommodating receptionist. The hotel is able to organise a pick up service from the airport which we availed of. The driver arrived on time and we were at the hotel within 20 minutes. Yet it was quite expensive 60euro. We got a shuttle bus on the way back which cost 7euro for two. The hotel was small (boutique style) and modern. Our room was spacious and stylish. We expected a double bed, yet it was two single beds pushes together. Our room was on the fifth floor right beside the terrace which was a perfect way to end the long day after sight seeing. Having a few drinks from the bar and relaxing on the terrace. The breakfast selection is good but limited. Though we are from Ireland and are used to our full Irish/ English breakfasts whereas the Italian breakfasts are different. It was a good stay but was not the four star standard you would expect in a different city such an Brussels or Paris. It was well worth it for the price. It was thirty minutes from the main attractions with a few restaurants close by. The staff above all was very helpful and welcoming. We would stay here again. Collapse
