We have just checked out after 4 nights at the Radisson in Nice and I have to say the newly decorated Business Class rooms are fantastic! I was a little worried about returning after reading some recent critical reviews but from this experience I can only praise the staff, from Geraldine who patiently dealt with my reservation, to the reception team and the breakfast team, everyone was polite, helpful and warm. We checked in very late after a delayed flight to a city view room which was clean, spacious and quiet but I don't think I would spend too long in the room as I love the sun! And the decor is a bit tired. Therein lies the beauty of the fresh business rooms with the balcony overlooking the sea, just perfect for us! Each morning after a really good breakfast I could soak up the sun on the balcony enjoying the peace before heading up to the rooftop pool or out to enjoy Nice. Yes this hotel isn't central but if you don't mind walking, cycling, buses or taxis it really isn't an issue. We loved cycling along the sea front each day. So in summary, book the sea view, go for a refurbished room, use the wonderful pool and enjoy the hospitality, see you soon! Collapse

Republishing my previous feedback with adjustments related to current stay. We stayed for day before our trip to Corsica in the beginning of September. As Club Carlson Consierge member got upgrade to Suite (#702). Thanks, really appreciate it. Excellent and warm service on reception this time. This really depends on person staying, I had also different experience 3 days later, but this is not subject of this review. Location: Hotel is located on the west side of promenade des Anglais. This area is closer to airport (3km) and is less crowded comparing to east side closer to old city (2km away from hotel). We really enjoyed this. Transportation: This time used car. There is underground parking under hotel. Quite expensive (29EUR per day for Radisson guests) or 2.80EUR/hour. Total petrol station with automatic or manual car wash, vacum cleaners etc. one block away. Bus stop (Sainte-Hélène / Promenade) is located in front of hotel. Airport bus stop (Aéroport / Promenade) is located in front of airport on promenade des Anglais. You can double check number of stops and bus numbers (most buses will go to hotel) on bus stop (or using Google). This is important as there is no screen with bus stop name within the bus. Tickets can be purchased from driver (1.5EUR). Remember to time stamp ticket in bus. Taxi also should be fine as hotel is only 3km away from airport. Same applies for other direction if you plan to go to Nice Ville train station by bus (to go to Eze, Monaco, Cannes etc) or to old city. East side of promenade is located 2km away, we walked here as weather was nice. Breakfast: was excellent according to high Radisson standards. You can sit inside the building or on terrace and breath fresh air from sea. Professional service, staff was really monitoring status Live and cleaned tables and top up items immediately. Do not leave your food unattended on terrace, pigeons are all around and are ready for your breakfast. Private beach (Régence Plage) is located in front of hotel. Crossing street will be required. Very are different options to book beach chair with umbrella: first line/other line, half day/full day. One towel is included. Nice friendly service. Lifeguard base is located just near by and 2 guys are monitoring sea. Room was cleaned very well, really satisfied. Welcome gift was nicely covered. This time stayed in renovated (new design) room. Shower was functinal, but I found construction issues (informed hotel about this, they promissed to fix). Really friendly and helpful staff for baggage storage service. You can leave your bag before and after your stay if your flight arrived early or departs late. There is also swimming pool and restraunt on the roof. Swimming pool is open until 7pm, I did not find time for it (maybe next time). There is also gym with shower on the same floor. PS I you have choice between sea front room and city facing room - take first, view will really make difference especially during nice day. Collapse

Spent 3 nights here end of August. Hotel is well located although quite far from all the main bars restaurants etc. Room was average and looked onto a building site. We did ask to be upgraded to a room at front but were told we would have to pay an extra 85 euro per night which was extortionate. Staff in general were very offhand, unhelpful and abrupt especially at the pool, which closed at 7pm in high season? Lots of other small problems in general and would never return to this hotel. Have read other reviews of people who had a completely different experience to us, upgraded rooms, champagne, staff so nice lucky them!! Collapse
