On the plus side, the rooms are VERY large with a seating area, a big "foyer" area, a king bed, a desk, and a huge bathroom. In addition, the rooftop pool is as advertised in the pictures - beautiful plush lounge chairs with amazing views out over the Mediterranean. Sometimes had to hover a little to get a pair of chairs from someone who was leaving, but never unable to get one. Plenty of umbrellas as well, pool was heated & drink service was decent. Now for the minuses - hotel is a WAYS from the Old Town/City Center area. Nearly a 2.0 mi walk. Not impossible but a hike. I didn't understand this when I booked - given it is on Promenade de Anglais, I (wrongly) assumed it was near everything. In addition, they advertise "beach access" but while there is a private beach area that says "by Radisson Blu" they still charge hotel guests for lounge chairs, towels & umbrellas - that was a HUGE turnoff for me. Next time, I will book the Meridien or the Hyatt Regency right in the heart of the action, knowing that the "beach access" here is the same as it is everywhere else. Collapse

My Friend and I stayed here for two days. There is barely anything that I didn't like here. The hotel is located right at the Rue d' Anglais which is the Main Street. Before we booked this hotel I read through the reviews on Tripadvisor and it convinced us to come here. We will definitely come here again. Pros: -Great, friendly and funny guys are part of the staff (they gave us some good advice on sightseeing and even booked us a helicopter ride that we wanted to do) - Breakfast: very good, many different choices (only con: there are only two coffee machines in The breakfast area and as the hotel is very big it can become very crowded at breakfast time. my recommendation would be to come a little earlier) -The rooftop restaurant and view over the sea is gorgeous -You just have to cross the street to be at the sea and to go swimming -Very good prices! we paid around 250 for two nights per person (no sea view and without breakfast). If you prefer Seaview you will have to pay around €30 more per night. As we were only sleeping at the hotel we decided to go for the cheaper version. Cons: -Service at the bar at the rooftop quite slow -if you decide to walk to the center city center it will be a long walk (around 30 minutes) -no late-night buses to the hotel We would definitely come back as we really loved the place. It is very close to the airport also - around 10 minutes by car. If you prefer to be a little closer to the city center it's maybe not the best choice. Collapse

Friendly welcome at reception, lovely room with a great view over the bay, relaxed atmosphere at the rooftop bar. A very disappointing experience in the restaurant. After great difficulty in getting a table in a half empty restaurant ( at 9 pm) we waited 15 minutes to place an order and after another 25 minutes had to go to the desk to inquire about the drinks . The food order was placed at the same time as the drinks order. Unfortunately an hour from the time of sitting down I once again went to the desk and inquired when our meal would arrive to be told " i will go and order it now for you " as it got forgotten. So what started as a lovely evening ended with great disappointment. In the end we had to smile when the head waiter said it was the worst day of his life. Collapse

My wife checked into the Radisson for couple of days to attend a conference for work before I flew out to Nice to meet her for the weekend and spend a couple of days R&R in the sun. The room my wife had been allocated when she arrived was on the first floor and was appalling, to say it was in much need of a little TLC is an understatement. Floor tiles were cracked in the bathroom, the windows didn’t shut properly to drown out the noise of the traffic outside and general cleanliness throughout the room was lacking. Prior to my arrival my wife complained at the desk about the standard of the room and although we had paid in advance through one of the many travel sites, she was prepared to walk out and check into a hotel closer to the centre of Nice at the end of here conference. When I arrived it took a little while to check in as it was extremely busy but it was quite strait forward and the man behind the desk said that my wife had already pre checked in and as the room wasn’t ready at the time she went to the desk, he gave me the room keys for a room on the 6th floor and a note to say my wife would be by the pool on the roof. I made my way to the room and it was a very nice and bright room and looked like it had not long been decorated, from what I can gather all the rooms on the top couple of floors have been renovated and it shows. It feels like a modem hotel should, with all the amenities you would expect including a Pod Coffee machine which is a nice touch instead of the usual packets of instant coffee it’s just a shame that my wife had to complain to get a nicer room. The hotel it’s self feels quit new and modern even though it has been there for some years, however the Radisson defiantly need to update the lower floors. It’s an ideal location for the airport but not for the old town and tourist areas or the port as it’s a good 2.5mile walk but at least the walk it burnt of all the extra calories form the fine French food we ate. This hotel is in a prime location on the Nice waterfront, a pleasant walk into town. The rooms are lovely if you get a sea view, but the rooms on the opposite side are quieter- although no balcony. The pool gets crowded and they charge to use it, which is strange- but the highlight of the hotel is the excellent breakfast. Collapse
