There are lots of good things about this hotel but they are undermined by the many flaws in service. The location is excellent and the hotel has an underground garage which is pretty useful but a bit awkward in a large car. Parking is €29 a day at the time of writing. I brought to the attention of management a number of problems on the 2nd or 3rd day but only some of these were addressed. An error had been made in leaving unlocked the balcony door. This was corrected. The bathroom hand basin plug was disconnected. This was fixed the following day. Rooms are very clean and comfortable but not especially large. The closet space is not adequate for a longer stay - we stayed for 10 nights. A hanging rack was brought. It is important to note that we paid a predictable €300 a night but this can be as much as €1100 during the Monaco GP. You are not going to get €1100 worth of room or service. Hotels usually provide three sizes of towel, the smallest known by some as a flannel. The flannels appeared on the first night but never again. This was one of several inconsistencies in housekeeping which plagued our entire stay. We never knew what was going to be done or left undone. There is a bizarre arrangement whereby tea and coffee are brought separately from the main housekeeping. This had to be chased up a couple of times. The bathroom amenities come in similar containers. Twice, one of the four was duplicated leaving no shampoo. As noted in my comments on green policies, until the last three days, towels were replaced unnecessarily. Until corrected, toilet rolls were not started and pointed. You can see the pattern. No template was being followed nor was there any sign of proper training or supervision. There were similar problems in the restaurant (223) where numerous basic errors occurred on our and other tables. This was particularly irksome as the menu is quite short and not at all cheap. We noted one waitress whose first day it was who could not open a bottle of wine (at an adjacent table). This is not an item for on the job training. The hotel is very clean and orderly. There is free wi-fi and beautiful views of the Baie des Anges but, once again, I have found an hotel which does not pay sufficient attention to detail. We probably shall return but I expect better of a leading brand in a prime location. Collapse

What a great break we have just returned from at the Raddison Blu, My husband and I travelled there with my sister and husband (amputee). The service at reception was excellent and nothing was a bother. Bedrooms were very roomy, really clean and well equipped. Breakfast had plenty of choice and food in the evening was well cooked. The main concern was the choice (or lack of it) on the dinner menu. After being told the menu would be different we decided to go again for dinner only to find it was exactly the same. As time was getting on and no other restaurants were near the hotel we stayed but felt there was not enough choice to warrant another visit which was a shame as we were willing to go every night. The leisure facilities on the roof was excellent. Overall a most enjoyable stay. Collapse

Location: as the title of this hotel suggests it is located on the Promenade de Anglais. Arriving from the airport can be achieved by a number of methods; firstly a local bus, the 98 stops at St Helene directly over from the hotel the fare is €1.50( as are all journeys on the local buses). Alternatively private return transfers are about £55 pound, I booked from the UK with Hoppa, you can try a taxi but they don't get rave reviews. Due to its location a walk into the centre of Nice will take 30 to 40 minutes, using the local buses will take 5 to 10 minutes depending on traffic and your destination. Hotel: we booked a room at the rear of the hotel mainly due to cost, the room was well appointed with room service on a daily basis. Although the view was nothing to write home about it was more than adequate as we were only using it to sleep in. Facilities: within the hotel there is a restaurant and bar on the ground floor and on the roof there is a terrace bar, restaurant and pool with sun beds and towels. We sat only once on the terrace(which is open weather permitting). The view of the bay and surrounding area is amazing. We were here on bed and breakfast basis. The choice at breakfast was continental and almost English with bacon and a choice of eggs. If I was going to be critical I choose scrambled egg whilst tasty it was never hot. If you can't find something to satisfy your palate you are to fussy or in the wrong hotel. We ate twice in an evening with a drink for two average cost €70-90. Again this is a hotel and not a pavement restaurant. If as we did you choose to eat out you will need to take a bus into the centre. I would recommend you find 11er Arts restaurant and try there food my opinion is very good. Point to note go early or you will end up walking home as the last buses are about nine o'clock. Staff: we found the staff to be helpful and friendly always treat people as you would want them to treat you. Overall this is a good hotel and if returning to Nice( now that I am acquainted with its location and the local transport) I would use it again. There is one point to note, work is taking place at the rear of the hotel to extend the tramway. This work is expected to be complete end of 2017. Unless you intend to spend all day in your room then any noise will only be first thing in the morning and therefore you will be unaffected by this. Collapse

Very clean hotel, the towels in the bathroom are big and I really appreciate this. Big pillows, very comfy quilt in the bed. Very nice staff, they have been very helpful during our convention.
