Booked in for 2 nights and stayed for four. Had a corner room so overlooked the waterfront and saw the cruise ships arrive in the afternoons. Perfectly situated as our tours were collected from this area or outside the post office which is a block away. Room was small but comfortable. Would have liked face cloths in bathroom but these are not provided. Breakfast was exceptional and there was a huge variety of fish, cheese, meats, fruits, yoghurts, nuts, porridge, breads, eggs, fresh orange juice and good coffee Collapse

I am so pleased with our stay at the Radisson Blu Hotel Tromso. The location was just perfect! It is the last stop of the express airport shuttle and drops you off across the street. Checking in was a breeze and I was just elated when I saw the views from our room! They gave us one of the most beautiful seaside rooms on the 7th floor with breathtaking views of the Arctic Cathedral, Tromso bridge and the mountains in the background. On the table was a little box of gourmet chocolates and note wishing me a happy 40th birthday! Now these are the little details that makes a hotel like this incredible. It's a very large center but they put personal touches to make you feel like a valued customer. Thank you so much! I slept so well, the room was huge and super quiet! The bathroom had heated floors and wonderful toiletries and amenities. It felt like being at home. The complimentary continental breakfast is probably one of the best we have had during our stay in Norway, there is a huge selection of hot and cold dishes. Eggs, bacon, sausages, oatmeal, cold cereals, fresh bread and pastries...Since I am vegan, I was really happy to see roasted baby potatoes in olive oil and herbs. I would recommend maybe more fresh hot vegetable selections (not cooked in butter or dairy) and perhaps offering a nice vegan soup to help warm us up in the morning! I highly suggest a visit to the dry sauna on the 10th floor, the views from the circular panoramic window are equally gorgeous and there is an amazing peacefulness as you sit in the warmth. The front desk clerk was really accommodating when we asked to extend our stay an additional night. She made sure we got to keep the same room and the rates were matched to what we had paid for the other 3 nights. The Radisson Blu Hotel Tromso is so central to everything. Most tours originate from the hotel so they pick and drop you off in the lobby. All the restaurants and shopping of city center are steps away. The Polaria aquarium is about a 20 minute walk and you can take the #26 bus to the Arctic Cathedral across the harbor which is about a 15 minute ride for 30 kroner one way. I highly recommend taking a ride up the Fjellheisen cable car and seeing the breathtaking views from the top. We did it both during the day and the night and they are both so special. If you are lucky, you might catch the Northern Lights up there after dark! Have the best stay in Tromso! Collapse

I was in a business meeting and needed to stay the night. My room was pretty tiny and smaller than you expect for the price in other cities. Tromsø is famous for it views to the fjord and surrounding mountains, unfortunately the room i got had a view straight into the neighbouring building. The room had a stocked mini-bar which is convenient. The room was tidy and clean as you expect from a hotel in this category. Collapse

We stayed for 3 nights in the Raddison Tromsø for my birthday weekend. I am a gold card member from Club Carlsson so i have used Raddison all over the world. Everytime i have checked in, i have been given a free upgrade to business class room but wasnt offered anything this trip. However they for some reason mucked up my reservation and only had it down as 1 guest so not only didnt we get a better room, we had twin beds. Not great. We were told when we checked in that there was a medical students party that night and they hoped it wouldnt disturb us. We went out on the Northern Lights tour and came back at 1:30am, the party was still in full swing, there was spilt drinks in the lobby and elevator and empty cans/glasses lying in the elevator and on our floor. The party went on til between 2:30-3am and i couldnt sleep until the music had stopped, they didnt even turn it down when it got later. I was on floor 5 and feel very sorry for anyone on any of the lower floors as it must have been ridiculous. We were up early the next morning to do another tour so didnt get much sleep. The elevator with most of the drinks in it was now closed for the entire weekend, between that and the revolving door not working all weekend it was a bit of a pain. Especially because the Radisson is the hub for alot of the tours, we had bus loads of people in the lobby which made it hard to get in and out of the hotel. The decor and room comfort is not what other Radissons are and it requires updating, i feel for the price i paid it wasnt worth it in Tromsø and if staying again would choose a newer hotel or cheaper hotel around the same standard. We have the best view overlooking the sea and the signature bridge plus the mountain. Perfect for setting an overlapsed timing video. Kids friendly. Variety of breakfast choices. We were actually paid for a room with two adult on the first place via agoda, and very kind to arrange us with a bigger room since we were with two kids. So helpful Collapse
