Spent one night here with a group of friends. Checkin smooth and our room was available early so that was good. Room warm, comfortable and well equipped with bits and bobs. Paid £12.95 to add breakfast on which although was convenient was a bit disappointing. Food wasn’t very hot and limited choice for veggies. We went to the spa before leaving. Changing room a bit cramped but pool, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi nice and it wasn’t busy. Staff friendly and helpful when we wanted a room a bit longer on check out day. Convenient location for Durham centre. Collapse
Tired and cheerless, with ill-motivated staff.

Let me start by saying that the staff on reception were friendly, efficient and thoroughly professional, especially Holly. Then it goes down hill. My room, when I got to it, had hair (head and pubic) on the bed. At reception, Holly said that she would call housekeeping. That's no good enough. I asked for a different room but I shouldn't have needed to ask. It worries me that she wasn't at all surprised that the room hadn't been cleaned properly. The key cards didn't always work. The TV remote was broken. At breakfast, having waited a short while to be seated, I was greeted with a curt "name?" How about "Good morning", with a cheerful smile, instead? And how about showing guests to a table instead of a dismissive 'just sit anywhere down there" and then being ignored and left to deduce the buffet breakfast and having someone call out across the room to ask if I wanted coffee, instead of coming to the table and asking in person? This is NOT 4-star service! The breakfast was awful. I have had better in a 3-star hotel. And in any ordinary café. I don't expect to pay an extortionate sum for a breakfast that was barely edible. Generally, the hotel is tired and cheerless. The corridors are gloomy and so are all of the staff, except for those on reception. Collapse

My sister and I visited Limehouse Spa at the beginning of March for a spa treat. We had purchased an Itson voucher which included two 25 minute spa treatments, a glass of bubbles and use of the facilities. Overall we had a good experience and sharing for those of you considering it. Positives: - The treatments were both great. I opted for the back neck and shoulder massage followed by a leg and foot massage. - The therapist I had was amazing! She was so down to earth, made me feel very at ease and tailored her approach to my needs. - The relaxation area we sat in just before the treatments, and then afterwards to enjoy the fizz and chocolates was lovely. Lots of comfy seating, ambient music and relaxing fragrances that were not overpowering. - Use of robe and towel included. Negatives: - Limited information was provided in advance by the spa, for example not being told to bring flip flops as they do not provide slippers. Only a little niggle but something which could be easily remedied with an information sheet on the website. - We only made very limited use of the facilities as it was really very busy. There was no seating left around the pool, both the sauna and steam room were crowded and the small pool was overrun with a combination of serious swimmers and groups standing about. I appreciate that this is a result of the facilities being part of the hotel and also being open to public but it was very disappointing not to be able to use these. All in all it was an enjoyable afternoon but I wouldn’t be in a rush to return. Collapse

Myself and my husband stayed here for a night away before our baby is due. The staff here are lovely and made it so special for us. An upgraded room to business class, free breakfast, free parking, 3x free drinks each and a lovely thoughtful message and sweet treat in the room. It made it so lovely to stay here nice and chilled and relaxing which is just what we were after. Thank you Radisson! Collapse
