I have stayed in this hotel from 7 to 13 of july 2017. During my stay, the room was only cleaned once and not in a proper way (same holds true for changing the bed sheets). Despite this, something unacceptable happened on the early morning of the 12th of july. I hereby report a formal complaint that I have sent to the headquarters of the Quentin Hotels that never, incredibly, got an answer. I was peacefully sleeping at 6.30 am in my room (206) when I heard the sound of the door opening. While trying to realize whether the sound was real, I heard few steps inside the room and then about 10 seconds of silence. Luckily I am a light sleeper so I could feel something was wrong. I turned my face towards the door and an intruder was incredibly standing in my room at few feeth from my bed. Gladly nothing worse happened. Towards the hotel I would like to express my deep sense of disappointment. No measures where taken to help me out with this terrible experience. I immediately called the reception but no one showed up, I had to go downstairs still trembling to get some assistance with a colleague. Eventually I met the receptionists cleaning (cleaning instead of coming upstairs!!!) and when I asked to talk to the manager they told me the manager was not there and they could not do anything to help me. They minimized what happened and waited for several hours to call the police and report what happened. This is absolutely unacceptable behaviour and deep lack of professionality!! In addition, I was not given any further information nor from the staff neither from the manager who never took the time to meet me in these 2 past days. I understand that safety measures are less stringent in a hotel to guarantee that guests can enter and use the common spaces (bar) but safety is not fully guaranteed when: the master cards to open all the doors are just lying at the reception desk in front of everyone's eyes all the emergency doors are open from the outsides, while they should only be open from the inside no one at the reception is actually looking at the people entering and taking the stars to reach the room floors. After insisting several times with the reception asking to get informed about what the hotel has been done to face the situation, I was told that the police came and retrieved a video of the intruder and is now on his search. However, no written report or document was given to me after my inquiry for it, so I am at the moment not sure that this was correctly done as it should have been. I strongly discourage anyone to be a guest of this hotel, not only for the lack of safety and cleaning service, but only for their unacceptable silence and minimizing behaviour in a situation that I don't wish to my worst enemy to live. We stayed at room 1025 first. The first thing that met us were an exstream smell of mold when we went into the room. The air conditioner only worked on maximum speed. That was a problem at night. We got a new room next day. Naigbour room 1024. Here we could smell the same smell. But here we could see actually moister mark at the toilet roof and at the floor outside the bathroom. Not ok with children to stay in. Not for anyone. Nothing were done to the first room next day. Actually it was hired out to someone else!!! A little pluss for fancy look of the rooms. Collapse

Fairly modern appearance, staff were helpful and friendly, rooms fairly comfortable, bed was really soft and relaxing. Breakfast adequate, not the best choice I've seen but enough to fill an empty stomach. Bus stop for various destinations outside the hotel, Berlin hop on hop off tour bus across the street and railway station about 1/2 a mile a way and we found the train was by far the best deal, 19e for a group of upto 5 that included all train and underground journeys with ticket expiring 3am following morning. Emergency services seem to make a habit of using 2 tones about 6am each morning, ask for a room at the rear, they have a nice bar area but its never staffed, no tea or coffee making facilities in the room and its probably no more than a 3* not a 4* as claimed. Would be happy to return. Collapse

This hotel is close to many transport links, only a 5 min walk from subway and underground stations and the x7/m49 buses stop right outside the door. Staff were nice and spoke English as well as other languages. The room itself was much better than I expected for the price! Modern decor, remote controlled curtains and lights, power shower in a very spacious bathroom and really comfy beds. There's free wifi and a mini bar too. If you're looking for somewhere to stay in charlottenberg I would definitely recommend. Would stay again! Collapse
