Stayed here for 6 nights with my partner on a recent tourist trip to Berlin and it was excellent. The hotel itself is very clean and modern inside and the rooms are done to a high standard. The bathroom was immaculate with a spacious and very powerful shower. We booked the comfort double and it was worth the money. The hotel is located a 2 minute walk from the underground station and main bus links. I coulnd't fault the hotel at all and would highly recommend it. Collapse

We originally went to the wrong hotel - There are three Quentin hotels in Berlin. The Quentin designer hotel had a very welcoming and attractive foyer and it looked very nice. We were somewhat disappointed when we arrived at ours- The Quentin Berlin. The foyer is very black and dark. We went up to our room (a family room with a kingsize bed and an open doorway into another room with two single beds) Our two teenage grandchildren were very imressed. They liked the remote controlled curtains, the separate room, the big tv, comfy beds free wifi and the posh bathroom so we started to relax. We found that this hotel is in a very good spot near the Kürfürstendam and Adenauerplatz metro station. Getting around Berlin is easy and there are lots of things to see. We were there from Monday to Friday and we all thoroughly enjoyed. There is no kettle in the room but if you want one it will be provided free of charge and you supply your own milk, tea and coffee. (A bit disappointing really in a four star hotel). We had extra pillows for each bed even though they seemed surprised that we had asked. The pillows are feather so quite flat. Breakfast was not included in our stay and we didn't purchase any. It was expensive and the restaurant area being totally black is not inviting for me. Berlin is not cheap so take plenty of money if going with a family. You can pay 80 euros for evening meal for four not including desserts and the meal not that special really. It would be better if the pound was worth more against the euro but when we went it was basically one to one. Collapse

Can't comment on any food as went into Berlin for that with 8 others for Octoberfest. Collapse

The hotel is on a quiet side street at the bottom end of the main street in Berlin. The Kurfursdamm. Though less than 5 mins walk away you are on this main street. The underground is also in the same place making it an ideal location. We had a room facing the back of the hotel where there was a car park but this didn't disturb us. The rooms were clean, but there was a smell that I realised was from the vacuum cleaner that was used needed the bag changing. We were shown a room initially that was supposed to be ready but hadn't been hovered. When we went to reception we given another room that was cleaned, immediately. The smell was in both rooms therefore I think this is probably throughout the hotel. The towels we were supplied with were very threadbare, though I think the hotel looks like its undergoing a refurbishment, so I'm hoping this issue will be resolved. The girl on reception Agneiska was particularly helpful and friendly. The continental breakfast was what you would expect in Europe. All in all a lovely hotel in which I would stay again. Check out the pub on the corner of the street, lovely German home cooked food. Collapse

I visited this hotel in mid September 2016. We planned on staying 4 nights but due to an emergency the night before we departed, we were unable to make our flight. We initially contacted the hotel but the guy on reception, (it was quite late but the reception is 24hrs) wouldn't take on board anything we were trying to tell him and kept saying he couldn't speak English. We then contacted booking.com and asked if we could go out a couple of days later and still stay 4 nights. They contacted the hotel and got back to us saying that this wouldn't work unfortunately. We found a flight going out 2 days later however, meaning that we would miss out on our first 2 days and likely lose out on the money for those days too which we were fine with as it was non-refundable. We contacted booking.com again just to let them know our plans and they agreed that things would be fine if we just went for 2 days. (We never cancelled our room and were led to believe that we could get this sorted through either the hotel or booking.com and since the hotel was no use, we went through booking.com). To cut a long story short, we arrived at the hotel, gave our names and the girl at the reception told us she cancelled our room for 'no show'. The first people we contacted were the hotel but they guy on reception didn't write anything down. We believe that booking.com did contact the hotel but for some reason they gave the room we booked and paid for to someone else, meaning they got our money for the room plus someone else's money for the same room. After a while, we were informed that the only room left was a family room and pretty much that our choice was either to pay €150 extra for the 2 nights or have nowhere to stay, so obviously we paid it. This was a very worrying and disappointing experience. How a hotel can give a paid for room to someone else and then have the cheek to force the people who originally booked it to pay €150 extra for the hotels own mistake is beyond me. I will never stay at any of the Quentin hotels again. I also got a random £2.84 taken out of my bank account from the hotel for which I have no clue. I believe the hotel is just a money making scam. Eventually, we got our €150 back but the amount of phone calls and 'jumping through hoops' it has taken to do so is ridiculous. I travel regularly and have never experienced anything like this. Our experience has been that bad, only now have I remembered to mention that they didn't give us a TV remote for our room. Collapse
