Stayed here for 3 nights when we went to Orlando to visit my sons. The Quality was one of several hotels closest to my sons' apt, and we picked it because it had the best rates (found online via hotelquickly.com). My sons live in the 'Metro West' area of Orlando. Given we weren't in Florida for touring, can't really comment on the location of this hotel with regard to Disney sites, but it was within walking distance of a Universal entrance and several restaurants. Our room had two double beds, and it was very well appointed and laid out. Bathroom was plenty large and the shower pressure was better than adequate. Our room was on the 4th floor in the back of the hotel. Traffic noise was a bit pronounced, but nothing we couldn't sleep through. Not sure how other rooms would be affected. We only took advantage of breakfast there one morning, and for an included breakfast, it was one of the better ones we've had. Very nice eating area and plenty of food. Do wish it would stay open until 10 a.m. vice 0930, but I suppose most folks staying in that area were up and getting to the parks while we were sleeping. Orlando is actually a pretty nice place to visit when you aren't trying to do Disney. Lots of places to eat and shop, and no schedule. If my sons continue to live where they are (they tend to move around the area like nomads), we won't hesitate to use the Quality Inn again. Collapse

This place although clean was not worth how close it was to Universal. The elevators broke and wouldn't tell anyone. The tv in the room started skipping stations and acting strange. The staff was half polite. The breakfast wasn't worth getting up early for. I would rather spend a little more $ and get better service. The shuttles also only had 2 times to run and that was it. Spend your $ else where and get better service. Collapse

Booked this hotel because it was the only one that had a room available 3 days in a row for our travels. Made my reservations online at the hotels actual site 1 week before my travels and "thought" everything was good to go, this was not the case. My husband and I decided to take a one week road trip vacation and head to Florida for the warmth. After we'd already left our home I received an email 3 days before we were to check in telling me they were looking forward to our stay and there was a link to check my reservations. I had everything already printed out and confirmed, but I went ahead and reviewed our reservations...thank god I did. It had the 3 day price listed for the entire stay however, it only had us booked for 1 night and only had 1 person listed instead of two. I then had to call and have all of this fixed. They said they'd fixed it making sure we had 3 days reserved, 2 people staying and a room with a queen bed. We arrived at the hotel on Tuesday afternoon and the first thing I notice on the paperwork is that it listed 1 NOT 2 people staying AND it had it marked for 2 days and not 3 so at this time I question the front desk. The man behind the counter said it's not a problem, he will change it to 2 people and that the paperwork is incorrect and that it is for 3 nights. We finish checking in and head to our room. The one elevator there runs extremely slow and if you're say on the 3rd floor and get into the elevator to go down it will actually go up to pick up the other floor before it even goes down even though it wasn't going up to begin with. Anyhow, we enter our room and right there at the entrance to your room is the bathroom, crazy. There is a door to the shower and toilet, but it's so big that you have to have it closed to enter the bed area. First thing I notice is that it's NOT one queen bed as I reserved and paid for, but instead it is two full size beds that are so low you'd think you were sitting on the floor. They were also very, very uncomfortable and cause your body to hurt. The room looks like it's a hotel from the 80's or something, not up-to-date at all. This hotel does offer a Continental breakfast, but believe me it's not good at all and honestly I'm not a picky eater, but this wasn't anything I would eat. You're better off walking around the corner to I-hop or Burger King. You are just down the street from Universal Studios which is what I wanted and they do have a free hotel shuttle that will take you to and from the park so to save you on the $20 cost for parking at the parks. There is also taxi (about $6 to Universal) and uber as well. We had the hotel call a taxi for us to take us to Universal only because the shuttle left at 8am, but the park did not open until 9am. When I questioned why it left so early I was informed the shuttle stops at other hotels to pick up passengers, but we did not want to be on a shuttle that long. We did take the shuttle back (two pick ups, 3pm and 7pm), but it (the shuttle) was late and it was raining outside so thankfully I had an umbrella with me and this hotel was the first drop off. On Thursday (our reservations were until Friday morning) my husband and I decided to go check out Disney Springs Epcot center and do some shopping. We left the hotel around 9:30am and then returned around 3:30pm. We took the elevator up to the 4th floor where our room was and slid my room key into the electronic key swipe....nothing. I tried again 2 more times, but still it would not work so then my husband got his room key out of his wallet and tried it....again nothing...swipe, swipe 3 times and still nothing. We were tired and looking forward to getting off our feet, but instead we were locked out of our room. Now we had to take the slow elevator back down stairs to have another issue fixed. The front desk clerk tried to make it sound as though we did something to deactivate our room keys...not just one key, but BOTH keys that were carried by two different people. I explained that was not the case and questioned if that paperwork I'd asked about upon checking in was listed correct in their system as it did just have two days only to receive the "oh no that is not it' answer. I informed him that I did not believe this and he then did something on the computer, ran our room keys again connecting them to our room and NEVER even asked to see ID to confirm it was our room. In closing I will say the only good thing about this hotel would have to be the close location to Universal Studios & the free shuttle. There is also a Russian gentlemen who works the area where you can purchase park tickets at the hotel that was very nice and knowledgeable. On the morning we were checking out (Friday February 24th) I did speak with the front desk again regarding the issues with our room and not having a queen bed so we were given a very small credit of less then $34, but they could have compt my entire bill and I still will never go back nor would I have given a better review. Something I forgot earlier is the hotels "free" WiFi....it's slowwwwwww and here is the reason. All hotels we've ever stayed in had an actual password that you needed in order to log into their WiFi which helps others from using it. At this hotel it's 100% OPEN for any and all to use. I understand that a hotel is not obligated to give WiFi to their guest, but if you're going to offer it to your "paying" guest you'd think it would be more attractive then something from the dial up speeds. Although this hotel is very close to Universal Studios; I'd rather pay more and stay elsewhere. First, the biggest issue is that the free shuttle to Universal Studios was always 20-30 minutes late for pickup and dropoff. At this point, fire the company that offers this service and get another. Secondly, the air conditioning in the room was so loud we couldn't sleep. For light sleepers, avoid this place. Lastly, no ice machines worked in the hotel. Every one that we could find was out of order. All of them? In Florida? Come on . . fix them. Collapse

We were quite surprised with the exceptional experience we had at the Quality Inn and Suites Friday evening. The hotel was very clean, service professional yet friendly, and the room was exactly what had hoped for. Our accommodations were spacious, comfortable, and had the amenities we have grown to expect from such hotels near attractions like Universal Studios and Walt Disney World. We felt safe, relaxed and never rushed while staying there. Two minor quibbles include wrinkled drapes (come on, pass an iron over them!) and a rather sparse breakfast compared to other hotels of this level. We had no bacon, sausage, or boiled eggs, which sounds like nit picking, but really compliments any hotel breakfast with the usual fare of scrambled eggs, waffles, and biscuits/gravy. We would consider staying there again if our usual local hotel had no rooms, as was the case this time. (BTW, the other "Choice Hotel" nearby has all three missing food items!) Give this place a try!
