This place has some good things in its favor. The location being one of the closest to the Needle Tower. It includes buffet breakfast. All receptionists were courteous and willing to assist customers at all times. WIFI is Ok but their Internet Cafe worked better. On the down side, the place is old, looks are dated on the outside as in the inside. The carpet on the hallways were stained, cheap lighting fixtures along the halls that lead to the rooms, tiny bathrooms and the loos worked erratically as sometimes the wáter would go down and other times they would not.(we rented two bedrooms). I had nearly reaped my skin on my leg with a protuberant piece of metal from the cage that holds the bed mattress, it had (most likely) been taken from a King size bed, fitted into a full size bed. We would leave the towels hanging for re use but they were replaced the five days we stayed there. Breakfast was nothing to get excited about and they would have all utencils and dishes for disposal only. Collapse
A nice surprise after reading some awful reviews before leaving Australia to stay 4 days here

What a lovely time we have had here so far on day 3 of 4 We worried for nothing. Sure it is an ageing building. So what ? How many brand new hotels are there in cities that are built in the 1800's. think about it tourists. How clean and tidy is your own home after a heap of visitors? The desk people are friendly. The rooms are clean. The location very good. We are nearly 80 and able to walk to the Pike markets and back with no trouble. Makes me wonder how precious are some tourists? As for one critic saying she had bed bugs I bet she brought them here in her luggage. The beds are new clean and comfortable. We are on level 2 near the main road and it is not overly noisy except for fire engine sirens etc. space needle 2 blocks away and enough eateries close. Supermarket one block away. Have to be full of yourself if not happy! Collapse

My wife and I checked into this location the night before our Royal Caribbean cruise out of Seattle, September 29th. The shuttle driver was a great guy, and provided a pleasant ride from SeaTac airport. The check-in went smoothly, and we went up to our room. Upon exiting the elevator, I noticed a strong bug spray smell. As we walked to the room, the smell seemed to be everywhere. The room itself appeared to be clean, although very small. There was a deck off of the room (not a balcony, but an actual deck). The sliding glass door had a piece of wood in the track to keep the door from opening; I guess that was security. The glass on the door looked as if it had not been cleaned in months. The deck was spacious, and when we walked outside, we noticed that the deck extended to the end of the second floor, with each room having the sliding glass door. This could be nice, if they took the time to clean the deck, and most of all the glass doors. Later that night, after we ordered dinner from a great place (Soprano's Pizza and Pasta) I noticed a roach crawling on the side of the TV cabinet. If not for the late time, and the fact that my wife was asleep (thank goodness), we would have packed up and left the hotel. Finally the shuttle to the pier for our cruise was very good. The same driver who picked us up at the airport, took us to the pier. I would really like to see this place get there "act" together, because it could be an ideal spot for cruisers wanting to spend the night before a cruise. There is no restaurant, but they do have breakfast, so I wonder if the breakfast items are attracting the roaches. Needless to say, we didn't eat anything from the breakfast menu. Collapse

Decided to stay in this hotel cause of its convenient location. Right next to the Space needle. Oldish property and small rooms. Rooms are clean. Has just 1 elevator and in the mornings its a long wait... so older folks may find it a problem, although the property is only 3 or 4 floors. The wait could be longer if its cruise day as everyone rushes out between 8 and 10 am. The breakfast is good. Lobby staff are friendly, but not the ones in the breakfast room. Collapse

For a centrally-based Seattle hotel, within walking distance of the Space Needle it was very well priced. The room was perfectly fine, not modern, but it was clean and comfortable. A bit too dark - the lighting could be improved. Parking onsite was a breeze and the complimentary breakfast was fantastic! Reception was nice and the computer terminals in reception were appreciated to print our boarding passes to New York. A great stay - happy to recommend Collapse
