This is a very good Apart/hotel with lovely big rooms and a reasonably well fitted kitchenette, comfortable beds and excellent views from the balcony. The staff were polite and helpful and very welcoming toward us. We went there to have relaxing break and just wondered around the Marina and the shops during the day and enjoyed some great meals in the evening. We breakfasted in our studio apartment which was leisurely way of starting the day. Give us Torremolinos and Puerta Benalmadena ANY time!! You could hardly see the beach with all the tat being sold on the promenade. Collapse

My 82 year old father fell on arrival to Spain for a week's holiday. He broke his hip and spent 2 weeks in hospital and had surgery. We needed a wheelchair accessible apartment before flying home; I booked the penthouse apartment which was not accessible enough. The reception staff gave me a more expensive 2 bedroom disabled apartment at no extra cost. Collapse

This is the second time we've stayed here and still like it. The apartment was clean, airy, light and had a balcony overlooking the pool area. There is a small kitchenette which is handy, with a fridge, hob, kettle etc. There was a wet room which was large and clean. The beds were a bit had this time but it was still comfortable. We were on the 8th floor so had a good view. The pool area is always kept very clean and tidy and there were plenty of sunbeds available. There is also a pool bar which has drinks and snacks to purchase. The pool was heated from 1st November as well, so it was like getting into a warm bath, very nice. These apartments are centrally located on the beach front, with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants in walking distance. Would definitely stay here again. They are also a 10 minute walk from Fuengirola train station, so very handy for catching the train from Malaga airport. Collapse

This was our second stay at Pyr. The location is great plenty of shops, bars and restaurants near the hotel and only a short walk to the restaurants on the harbour which are very good. We were self catering. Our room had plenty of space, it had a small kitchenette with a fridge and hob. The rooms were clean and tidy but a little dated. Maids cleaned the room every day. The pool area was lovely and the pool bar staff were very helpful. The one downside is that you only get one room key per apartment their were 3 of us in a one bedroom apartment. The reception couldn't help when we got locked out. Other than that the staff a generally very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. Collapse

Just came back from here. Lovely n clean. Fresh daily towels/cleaning. Could do with a lick of paint around balcony. Has a planter on balcony witch should be dressed in flowers or filled in. Very unsightly. Staff helpful. Plenty lifts . Alot of private residents which I felt took up most of sunlounger like they were there's and not to be sat on by holiday makers. Felt no atmosphere around pool area . Our room looked onto oposite side of pool with no sun anytime of day . Plenty shops and eating places around. Collapse

Just back from a 4 night stay here. First thing is the staff, we didn’t have any dealings with them apart from check in and departure but I cannot fault them. I have to mention one of the cleaners on the 4th floor, I waited for ages for the lift with my baby and she stopped what she was doing and let me use the staff lift. Our apartment was cleaned and beds made up everyday. I was very surprised with the room and the size of it. We had a good size balcony which attracted the sun in the afternoon. There was a hair dryer in the room and small soap and shower gels in the room. The kitchen was well equipped and everything we needed for our four days. The only thing I didn’t like about the room was about the room was the doors. I think these could do with being updated as they seemed very flimsy. I read on a previous review that someone woke up to an intruder in their room and this made me very wary every night especially as we have a young baby. I ended up putting a chair up against the door every night so if anything was to happen we could hear. We were on the 4th floor facing the Las Palmeras hotel and the pool, I have to admit it did get a bit noisy at night with the night clubs below, one night was nosier than the other three but it didn’t wake my daughter up so I can’t really complain. I’ve also seen other people comment on the prostitution around the hotel, we did see them in passing but were never approached and they seemed to be more around the London Pub and Las Palmeras, but I think it’s unfair to mention it whilst giving this hotel a review as technically it isn’t the hotels fault. I noticed security on the front door a few nights we came in and wondered was it to keep them away. We were at the pool a few days, there is a baby pool and a deep pool. We found the big pool quite deep at one end, which for a small person like me I found it hard to get in and stand with my daughter who preferred to be in the bigger pool. There was a lot of cracked concrete in both the pools and around the grass area which I found quite annoying when you have a little child running around. I also found the baby pool was full of dead flies and leaves which put my daughter off, she doesn’t like things like that but it made me feel like the pool wasn’t cleaned out very well. We never drank or ate in the hotel so can’t comment on any of that. All in all it wasn’t the worst hotel in the world and not saying we wouldn’t go back, would just like to see a few things looked at. Collapse
