Arrived 08/07/17 at 10:45pm for 10 nights 2 adults 2 children boys age 11&7 greeted by a lovely lady said if we wanted a drink then to go now as drinks finished at 11pm. But there was food available all evening so to go when we were ready. The room was basic 1 son on sofa bed and the other on put up bed in our bedroom. The room was clean and the maids were brill. The balcony and view was fantastic. The food was the same as you get anywhere else if you go AI. We did complain one day as it was either undercooked or over cooked (don't even ask for a runny egg) but seemed to improve afterwards. The entertainment well it was ok. We only stayed three times the wizard of Oz show was fantastic though. The cocktail bar near reception was lovely singer on every night and you could always find a seat. Pool. The pool is lovely but be prepared to get there for 9am when the chains are released on the sunbeds and all carnage breaks loose. It is honestly like mayhem! Then people put towels on and don't return for hours!!! (My main bug bear) If you don't manage to get one then go back about 4ish!! If you like to go to the beach then exit the hotel and go right take the 2nd entrance and then walk down about 800 steps (no kidding) then get a taxi back up cost between €3.50 & €4. The market in Mogen was nice to visit on a Friday. But I wish I'd gone also when the market wasn't on as it's a lovely place. Taxi there approx €14. There is a shopping centre up the hill opposite the hotel. But there is a larger one down the hill in the town centre which is cheaper. Good holiday enjoyed by all. Would I return? Yes I think I would if the price was right. Collapse

This was my first holiday abroad and my first holiday with my boyfriend of 6 years. We are both 20 and love every moment of our holiday. The hotel staff were lovely and helpful however the younger man needs to be in more tune with the other staff members as he tended to tell us wrong different information to the other staff. The hotel room and the rest of the hotel was cleaned daily. As this was a couples holiday we spent most of our time at the adults pool which was lovely and peaceful and the pool looked over a beautiful view. I was very impressed with our room as it was amazing, we stayed in room 5806 which had a beautiful view and very comfy beds. There is a large range of food for everyone to eat and i loved having my pancakes cooked fresh in front of me every morning. We food that the snack time food was a lot better than the lunch time range of food. There are a lot of stairs up and down to the beach however there is a bench half way to sit on and looks out over Puerto Rico. When down in Puerto Rico there are a lot of people who ask you to come in to their restaurants however on a day you decide to go away from the all inclusive food in the hotel I would definitely recommend IZamar lovely food and staff are so nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will hopefully return in the future, Thank you for a perfect first holiday. Collapse

This should definitely be a 4 star.. don't be put off by the bad reviews. I'm still here at the moment I came 5 days ago I have 2 days left and myself and the kids have really enjoyed it. There's myself my 8 year old son and my 1 and a half year old son and my work colleague and her 3 year old son.. we are staying in a one bedroom family apartment.. cleanliness is massive to me abroad and Iv stayed in 3 other 3 star hotels and none compare to this. It's so clean and looked after as is the whole of Puerto Rico, I'm one of those people who line public toilets with tissue before I use it lol and didn't feel I needed to here. Our apartment was an older style but was brilliant and better than expected.. very spacious.. big balcony too with table and chairs and 2 sun loungers.. kitchen also with hob microwave kettle fridge sauce pans plates cups glasses cutlery frying pan utensils sink bar island with 4 stools. Shower is very powerful and it's over a bath. 4 pools in main area one is a baby pool all brilliant and clean and some of them heated there's also and adult area with an infinity pool and jacuzzi.. food is really good especially the bar snacks they are amazing, normally you'de have chips or a hot dog but served from 12 by the bar all day is fresh food such as paella which you see them cook fresh and burgers hot dogs and sounds strange but the loveliest fish fingers Iv ever had lol aswell as salad bar and lots of fruit and spring rolls currys fajitas etc.. breakfast is selection of cereal with normal milk or strawberry or chocolate and so many cooked breakfast options sausages bacon eggs beans fried eggs pancakes salad croissants etc.. lunch is a range of stuff it changes everyday but it has fresh fish fresh meat pasta pasta sauces salad puddings and different dishes.. all very nice.. and dinner is so nice, I think it's themed different nights today was Mexican the chilli and rice was lovely and nachos with fresh salsa and guacamole.. there was also chicken wings baked potatoes salad beans chips pasta etc and another great range of puddings.. Sunday night it was Chinese themed with spring rolls egg fried rice and Chinese dishes aswell as your other stuff.. there's also a children's buffet with hot dogs on burgers fish fingers pasta and a salad bar, I can't fault the food one bit and I love food, it's definitely a 4 star for food I'd maybe even go to a 5 star on it's best day. They have entertainment all day such as water polo tennis water Zumba colouring for kids by the pool there's also a teens room that my 8 year old loves with an Xbox in and a ps4 aswell as a wide screen Tv and lovely snuggle area aswell as activities for the kids if they wanna get out the sun for a bit. The place also has free wifi. Chamber maids are brill and make your bed up everyday and do a really good clean of your room.. night entertainment is good it starts at 8 with a kids mini disco and a few games then there's normally a show on and then a disco after some nights they do karaoke and other a big DJ set felt like I was in Ibiza lol.. also there's a park for the kids near the pool with a locked gate so it's safe.. my sons loved it.. it has astro turf on it. There's also an arcade room near the bar and entertainment area which the kids loved. We booked with Thomas cook so we get free aqua land tickets also which we are going to tomorrow with a free bus there and back too. There's also Thomas cook reps all around the complex who are all English and are very helpful. There are two friendly teddy and giraffe mascots that walk around visiting the kids aswell. Also there was Mexican singers in the restaurant this evening.. I keep jumping back as I keep remembering things. There's a shop also open at the entrance to the hotel that's open until 11pm yes it's over priced but handy if you need wetwipes or cigarettes or snacks for the room or inflatables. There's 800 steps down to the beach from the hotel entrance which takes your straight there but as we had buggies we had to get a taxi from reception but was only 3.60 and only 3 mins away, town is also only 3.60 in the taxi. Now on to the bad parts which every place will have some faults but everything else over rides then for me. 1. It's either go down at 8am and secure your sun bed or basically you can't get one.. we managed to get one about 9am before but we was lucky.. one day we got down there at 10 and we took 2 sun loungers out the over 18's bit and moved them I don't think your allowed but no one says anything.. 2. It's the same with entertainment in the evening .. you need to be getting down there about 7.30 to secure a table and even then you'll still be at the back but we did prefer the back anyway as it's nearer to the park and the arcade. 3. The lift system is a bit of a joke, from the pool area we have to get 3 lifts to get to our room they need to be updated so you only need to get in the one (we had 2 pushchairs with us) they are also small we barely fit our 2 small buggies in and it was such a squeeze. 4. I also think bottled water should be complementary as we are told we can't drink their water, maybe that's me being picky. 5. This is just a down side for me and won't apply to everyone, some people don't control their children, 4 times over our week stay my son came to me crying as people were picking on him, 2 different groups of boys one group being around 14 years old and considering my son is 8 I wasn't happy and I screamed the park down after the 4th time, it's fair to say that they didn't do it again lol. I will 100% recommend this hotel to everyone. Really enjoyed our stay. Collapse

Just back from a 2 week stay here with my family (Me,wife and 2 boys aged 15 & 6) When we arrived check in was quick and the guy at the desk was friendly) He gave us a map to our room and told us where to go.This hotel is massive,we had to go down 3 lifts and a far walk.We had 1 off the older rooms which were very basic but we didnt mind as we arent in the room much.My 15 year old son had to sleep on the sofa bed (was just a sofa). The youngest had a fold down bed in our room and we had to single beds pushed together. The balcony was massive with 2 sun beds and a table and 4 chairs. Our bedroom had a fan but really needs aircon The pool area was dead on but the sun beds are to close together.Plus their is a mad rush at 9 in the morning to get the beds when the fench is dropped. You really need to be standing there at 8:30 if you want to get a bed beside the pool. The hotel team you play games start about 10:30. I cant remember the guys name (benija or something like that) he was the best ones with the guests. I think the food was the best part.Always plenty to choice from and tasted good. The best night was mexican night which is on a tuesday night. The holiday was great but dont think i would return here. Its not the hotel but pourto rico itself.Their isnt much in it Collapse

Last day here been for past 7 days the hotel is lovely and situated in a beautiful locations with lovely sea views , we stayed in the junior suite these rooms are lovely with air con and sea views , rooms are cleaned every day apart from a Friday and Sunday. Pools - big pools lots of sun beds but u need to be down by 8:45 to get a bed especially if u have kids and want to be near the pool once the barrier comes down it is quiet literally charge for a bed this was the only negative for me regarding pool area . Pools are lovely and clean . Food - all inclusive is fine always something to eat , I found breakfast time to be the best choice again it's a 3 star hotel u get what u pay for , restaurant area very clean and they make u sanitize hands before entering. Snack bar - by the pool is also very nice always something to choose from . Lots to do in Puerto richo Plenty of shops and bars and a lovely beach Staff at the hotel are lovely always smiling and very friendly I would definitely come bk to Puerto richo and this hotel , lovely family holiday , ignore negative reviews !! If u want a 5 * hotel pay for it. Collapse
