You get all the advantages of a big hotel, like Restaurants to choose from, fitness, Spa and massage, tennis and other sports, different pools, but not the disadvantages; even though the hotel was well booked it never seemed crowded ! The reception made you feel like checking into a butique Hotel. The area is so big we always found a nice place to relax. Of course, the (paid) upgrade to the Royal Suite made our stay even more memorable. Staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Next time I travel to Lanzarote, it will definately be this hotel again ! Collapse

We are just back from a week in Princess Yaiza hotel. This hotel is one of the best hotels I have been to and we had a fantastic week. Our room was lovely and had a great sea view. There was also a balcony which was great to spend time on when the beach got a bit windy. The heated swimming pool really made the holiday since it meant we could swim every day, even in January! The weather was warm and sunny and perfect for this time of year. We went half-board and the food was fantastic. The choice at breakfast was great and there were three restaurants to choose from for dinner. All the food was excellent and very well presented. All the staff were so friendly and professional. The location of the hotel is great. There is a lovely marina (Marina Rubicon) 10 minutes’ walk away with bars and restaurants and a pretty public beach just outside the hotel. We really recommend the Lanzarote Island tour – it’s a full day trip and you get to really see how beautiful Lanzarote is. I really can’t think of anything that the hotel could have done to improve our stay. We can’t wait to go back! Collapse

We just returned from a great week at the Yaiza. With two little kids (a 2 y/o and an 8 m/o), holidays can currently end up being more stressful than staying at home, but this hotel really has it sussed when it comes to catering for families. The kids club (kikoland) is not simply a room for the kids; it's a whole indoor /outdoor complex next to the hotel, broken up into sections depending on the children's ages with age appropriate playground areas for example. The overall space is safe and secure too with someone on duty at the gate. Our 2 year old was too young to be left unsupervised with the staff there (I think their policy is that children need to be 3) but we chose to go and hang out in kikoland anyway as it was such a safe enjoyable space for him. We left our 8 month old in baby kikoland a few times, which is in the main hotel. The two ladies there are amazing and my daughter was really content with them for the few hours. The food in the hotel is lovely. We had some lovely homemade pasta at don Giovanni's. We tried the buffet one night too and it was good. There's some dishes of the evening which are cooked by the chef from scratch in front of you (Asian stir fries etc) which is a nice touch. Really tasty selection overall and they even have baby food at the buffet! We stayed in A block and really liked our room, which got the morning sun. The walkway to the room is nice and airy and you feel almost outside as it has some open walls to the sea. Each member of staff we met was super nice and helpful. Some parts of the hotel do feel like they could do with a facelift- the area downstairs on the way towards D block has some old style couches for example. It's not the chicest /trendiest 5 star hotel, but for quality of service, location, facilities and overall feel, it's a real winner. We will definitely go back. Collapse

Room C434. Meant to be garden/pool view not 'tree' view. A stunning hotel now getting spoilt by out of control trees swamping views on balconies. We were one of many that complained about this but the hotel management seem to continue to ignore this problem. We have stayed in this hotel countless times but our stay was ruined this time by the view, we like to sit on the balcony early evening and enjoy the last of the sun before heading out, not a chance this time. In fact the balcony was pointless. We asked to move but the hotel was full so they couldn't move us until 3 days before we went home. So disappointed, not what you expect from a 5 star luxury hotel at all. It's not acceptable. Collapse
