Brilliant 5 star hotel in amazing setting right by the beach. Spacious rooms and great food. Staff very friendly. Great gym and several pools. Highly recomended. Only thing slightly spoiled it was in the morning the cleaners in room upstairs would scrape the furniture around while cleaning, before 9am. Sometimes while on holiday you might fancy a lie in! Wont stop us coming back one day though. Otherwise a great hotel. Collapse

We have friends who have stayed at the hotel on previous occasions so we decided to book as a Birthday Celebration. The hotel is wonderfully appointed, our suite was first class and the amenities superb. We only booked on a Bread and Basis but the choice of food and selection of restaurants was excellent. What impressed me most was the level of customer service and the attention to detail. Management were always present to ensure that customer needs were met. I have to single out Guest Relations and in particular Laura who exemplified what customer service is all about, well done. But all this could not be achieved without excellent staff training a credit to the management! It was lovely that to celebrate my partner's 70th Birthday we had a bottle of Cava and card to delivered to our suite, much appreciated! Collapse

We didn't stay at the Pricessa Yaiza. We have before, and we will do again - it's the best hotel on the island. The reason for this review is to recommend the Lanzarote Soccer School. Held over UK school holidays in Kikoland, next door to the Princessa Yaiza, open to residents and non-residents alike. I cannot recommend it enough. Seriously! There is a lot other soccer schools could learn from Gary and Scott as they bring the fun back to football training for all ages. Their enthusiasm is infectious. My seven year old loved it! He joined a little uncertain and left with more confidence and ability than months of one-afternoon-a-week soccer training with a well known London club has given him. And, the constant banter from Scott and Gary during the training sessions makes it fun for the adults to watch. If you are staying in Playa Blanca with a boy (or girl) aged 6+ and they've an interest in football, Lanzarote Soccer School is a must, And, if you do go, I recommend the dad's match at the end of each week. It's the first game I've played in years. I have since joined a five aside team and I'm playing every week. The time spent watching and playing with my son, Gary and Scott put the fun back into the game. Thank you. Awesome! Abslutely awesome! Collapse

We stayed in Princesa Yaiza for one week to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We went in April 2016 and booked a suite. At the arrival, we were welcomed by a dutch-speaking girl and were offered a glass of cava. The room was fantastic : it was huge, right in front of the sea and it had 2 terraces. 1 terrace was very windy and extremely cold; the other was excellent and on which we could rest quietly in the sun. The bathroom was huge and products of Rituals were offered every day. There is a small kitchenette with a large fridge. The beds were fantastic. The swimming pool was kind of cold also because of the wind that is permanently present in Lanzarote. There are 3 main buffet restaurants, but we switched only between the Italian and the meditteranean one. The food was excellent, like you can find in better restaurants, especcially if you took the 'suggestion' main dish and 'suggestion' dessert. This was prepared a-la-minute by the chef. We had a lot of fish, but there was plenty of choice of -how should i mention- everything. Comment on the pizza: not bad but not excellent. Staff is extremely friendly; some Italians work in the restaurants and since I speak Italian, we got always good suggestions on what the buffet was offering. Kikoland was not a success as we went to see the 'nutty professor' show that our child didn't like so much. She was however enjoying the evening 'dance' animation so much. At the check-out we were told that more than 1000 people had been staying in the hotel and i must admit that this wasn't visible at all and that all diners were very quiet (not like in the noisy mega-hotels). We were also told that we had an upgraded suite and that not all suites have 2 terraces --this was a 50EUR per day upgrade normally. Only 1 remark : the very first night we were tired (early flight) and I called housekeeping to make up (urgently) our daughter's bed so that she could go to sleep. I had to phone back 30 minutes later and another time 15 minutes later (then i was threathening to come down to get the cleaning lady myself). Finally they made the bed. The day after i complained as this is not a 5-star service and they wrote down the preferred hour so that every day the bed was already made when we came back in the room. Collapse
