This is my second visit to Princess Yaiza, Lanzarote. This is going to be a boring review because… I just can’t stress enough how good this hotel is. The staff are as attentive as in a restaurant in France. The rooms have a rustic charm yet all modern requirements. There really isn’t much else to add. I would stay again in a heart beat. Okay, some more. Children are well catered for, as I sit here there are clients from 6 months to 90 years and all seem well happy, I certainly am. Families, couples even some single residents all say the same. Princess Yaiza, Lanzarote is an oasis within a paradise. Deserving of a 5 star rating. Collapse
Great hotel (only spoilt by one thing)

We've just come back from a lovely 10-day holiday at this hotel. The break was just what we needed. We booked a superior wellness sea view room with bed and breakfast. The hotel is very nicely designed. The buffet breakfasts were excellent and, although there were some children around at breakfast, we didn't feel any need to use the adult only serviced restaurant. The room was very comfortable with sofas, very large bed, small kitchenette with microwave and fridge, and a TV (with some English channels). The cleanliness was excellent, with friendly staff cleaning the room every day, changing towels and bed linen every couple of days. We loved the room apart from one thing - disturbance from (I believe) The Bomb night club, situated close by, which appeared to be open until 5 am six nights of the week - this did spoil our sleep. We arrived on a Thursday, when the night club was closed. I guess we could have asked to change rooms but by the time we realised it was a nightly disturbance, we were well settled in our room and enjoying the view from it. We had booked a package which gave us access to the spa but didn't use it in the end as we were happy without it. We hired a car for a few days - the parking at the hotel is a problem (it's difficult to find a space) and we ended up getting a parking ticket (our fault entirely). We only ate at the hotel once in the evening as we felt it was overpriced for what it was but the hotel is very well located for all sorts of restaurants and most nights we walked to the Marina and ate there. We didn't use the pools or gym so can't comment on those. Would we go back? Maybe, as the holiday was just what we needed but the only reservation is the proximity to the night club. I'm really surprised that no-one else has mentioned it in their reviews. Maybe it was just the sound-proofing in our room (A342)? Collapse

Rather baffled by some of the grumpy comments. We checked out today having spent a truly wonderful week here. We found all the staff to be extremely friendly, courteous and professional. There certainly seemed to be sufficient staff and our observation is that in every department they all work extremely hard, and with a smile. We had a couple of minor issues which were resolved satisfactorily in record time. There are always places around the pool and if you take the time to look, you can see where the sun travels and get a place where the sun will be at the time you want. Most sections of the pool are in shade at some point during the day so plan ahead! We don’t have kids so cannot comment on facilities for children. We have stayed in a number of top hotels around the world and this was our favourite so far. Our room was really comfortable and I usually have to complain about poor WiFi in Spanish hotels, but this was super everywhere in the hotel. A hotel stay can be marred for me if I cannot get decent WiFi in my room. An unexpected bonus was being able to get English TV stations in our room. The whole place is very stylish and tranquil. All the rooms are slightly set back from the hallways so you get very little noise from other guests passing by. Beautiful poinsettias everywhere! It has been extremely well designed. There are a number of different restaurants on the complex, including the buffet restaurants. The buffet breakfast is well stocked with just about anything you could want, including Buck’s Fizz if you want it! The evening buffet is OK but expensive for what it is, but accompanied by a varied and interesting wine list. There is no shortage of places to eat within easy walking distance of the hotel so there is no trouble finding something at a reasonable price. We found ourselves quite disappointed to be leaving and certainly would consider coming back. Collapse

Fantastic building First class gardens very well cared for.Rooms are suites and very well equipped.Great location short walk to marina in one direction and harbour in other direction all along a lovely sea front. So why have I not given it 5 stars? simply the food which is ok but ordinary.Breakfast has plenty of choice but it is very chaotic and a bit of a scramble . This is in no way a criticism of splendid staff. Collapse

Superbreak star ratings are given as a guide to help you choose between our hotels and do not necessarily relate to those awarded by other organisations.
They symbolise the level of service and range of facilities that you can expect at the property; ranging from 1 star - hotels with the simplest range of facilities, to five stars - luxury hotels with a wider range of facilities.
Please note that different countries have different standards and star ratings may differ according to the country where the hotel is located.
