I have just returned from a six night stay at the hotel and wanted to warn people that the sound proofing between rooms is very dreadful. I would, therefore, not return here for this reason. We could hear people talking, banging doors, furniture being dragged across the tiled floors. We were fortunate that the first four nights we got relatively undisturbed sleep; however, towards the end of our stay two families with small children moved in on either side of us. It was a nightmare with the children running up and down late night and early morning and babies crying (not their fault) and furniture being moved in the middle of the night. The hotel is very family oriented which is great if that's what you want; however, not so good if you want a relaxing break. On the plus side, the hotel is run very efficiently and the staff are all very accommodating. I would say that even though the hotel has lots of facilities, it is not really 5*L standard. Collapse

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. The suites are superb, the pools area is beautiful, the internal gardens are magnificent. The hotel is spotless, everything works perfectly, and should you have a problem it is sorted out within minutes. My birthday was celebrated with a complimentary bottle of fizz! and the flowers ordered by my partner were lovely. It has rhe perfect location above a sandy beach and surrounded by lots of good restaurants, right on the promenade, yet peaceful and tranquil when you go inside. Loved it!! Collapse

Spent 5 nights in this massive hotel in April 2017. It is a 4.5 star in my opinion; but a very good one At that. My 17 month old absolutely loved it there and it is a perfect hotel for kids. There were a LOT of kids there; but it was during school holidays. A few tips : 1. Ask for a high room (we were in B block on 6th floor) 2. Breakfast is good, a very wide selection with well made fresh eggs whatever you like 3. It is a very accessible hotel, so good for buggys and wheelchairs 4. Take silver foil for windows if you need room to be dark for baby sleep ; the black out blinds in room don't really darken it enough, 5. The top pool is heated and bottom is cold - but nice for an adult swim 6. The Italian restaurant in bottom courtyard is lovely - for simplicity we are here every night- but you MUST book 7. marina is ok; don't eat in tex mex - it's awful. It is a good 10 min walk away 8. Little supermarket opposite is good 9. Take all nappies, baby food and snacks with you - a very poor selection is available in shops ! 10. Room had fridge, microwave and we ate lunch in room everyday with bread and meats bought in supermarket 11. Always sunbeds available 12. Don't miss out on the fab aquariums in the tunnel .... we nearly did ! Really recommend this hotel for a holiday with kids - the baby pool was so perfect and the staff were fabulous. The beach is also perfect and it's a 1 min walk from door to door. Collapse

The building is fabulous, lots and lots of rooms, but loads of facilities. There are several pools, and a number of places to eat. There are several bars, a theatre and gym - and lots more. Several of the "Restaurants" are highly reminiscent of school dining halls, very short of any atmosphere, where under pressure staff struggle to maintain politeness. We had a suite on the top floor and it was great, good sized, lovely & clean, useful sink and microwave oven above the fridge. Excellent balcony with great views out over the sea. We hired a car from the dedicated desk near reception, it was an incredibly easy, smooth process - a pleasure to deal with the staff. Our biggest, (probably only), problem, is the proliferation of out of control toddlers. It seems the hotel is able to attract vast amounts of families, all of whom seem to have at least 3 kids under six. Now I fully appreciate this is not the fault of the hotel - just means their marketing is very successful, and that WE didn't look closely enough to recognise this is predominantly a place for families NOT for couples, who have gone on holiday as a break to, amongst other things, get away from their children. Everywhere you go your surrounded, hordes of screeching kids. So, it's breakfast - with some crying, some just running around, some just throw their food on the floor. No-one says a word. We all just put up with it. We go to dinner. We had to 'phone from our room to book a table, men to wear long trousers - well, it is a five star restaurant you know - to enjoy lovely food, served by great staff, amid teams of brats literally running around the tables, shouting, crying, stamping, doing anything, everything they'd like without a single parent saying a word. Get me outta here ! There are a proliferation of OK, (but certainaly not 5 star), restaurants within easy walk of the hotel, so at least there is some escape. Collapse
