We had a room in family Block D205 Room excellent 2 bedroom and bathrooms with lovely lounge area and small kitchenette with full size fridge that you can use for your own items. Well stocked Supermarket just outside the back door of the d block. Maid service was second to none cleaned superbly every day. Breakfast every morning in the hacienda restaurant which was lovely food excellent quality everything anyone could want. Evening meals in the yaiza buffet starters and desserts were excellent and varied although main courses didn't look so appetising, although the show cooking had various meat and fish. They also had show cook of one item each night which was lovely especially the fillet steak dish. Wine was terribly expensive at 33 euros for a decent wine but the cocktails at the cocktail bar were very nice although presentation varied depending on the waiter which was disappointing, the staff in all areas were very attentive and pleasant at all times. Evening entertainment for us would be better earlier than 930 as not much to keep you around for an hour after dinner unless you went to piano bar. Only real complaint was how close the sun beds were together around the main pool you really could not walk between them without scratching your legs private conversation impossible!!! and awful if someone was smoking beside you, have not experienced such cramped conditions at any other 5 star hotel. Also the tennis courts were at the kikoland which you could not access directly from hotel (not mentioned in hotel information)which meant our 12/13 year olds girls didn't want to use as they would need escorting but wouldn't want them wandering outside on their own. Weather was terrific and all hotel areas very nice. Enjoyed our stay. Collapse

Back for the second time and must admit to being a little disappointed. The situation maybe coloured by confirming twice at check in that we were not on the ground floor, only to find the ground floor room with the worst view in the hotel when we got there (see the picture attached). The following day we insisted on a room change, which was not resisted, however spending time blaming the computer system despite the check-in questions is not good customer service! Overall the staff are really friendly and helpful and the place is kept clean. Facilities are generally good but one or two things let it down. As examples, room terraces have only reclining chairs with nowhere to put your feet up. Sun loungers are tightly packed and in rows, you had better like your neighbour! Basically, the site is too small for the number of rooms and could benefit from some grassy areas. Not sure we'll be back for a third visit, the value is no longer there for us, but for a family who would like plenty for the kids it is a reasonable place. Collapse

My son (6) and I had a wonderful stay. Everything was excellent. The quality and variance of the restaurants was good. The facilities were good. The rooms are spacious. In February one isn't going to have "beach weather" every day but the hotel had several tour options available, of which we took advantage on the more inclement days. Highly recommend. Collapse

We stayed here from 26th January to 6th February to celebrate my 60th birthday and we were not disappointed. We received a warm welcome (and a glass of cold Cava) from the moment we set foot in the hotel and everything throughout our stay was first class, although as a 5*L you would expect this. Every member of staff we came into contact with was professional, courteous, smart and friendly. On the day of my birthday the hotel supplied a bottle of Cava and for 15 euro a fabulous chocolate cake could be purchased. The breakfast was amazing and it would probably be easier to say what you couldn't get, great choice and everything fresh, breakfast also comes with a glass or two of Cava should you want it! Our suite was very comfortable and cleaned every day with bedding and towels changed every other day, the very spacious his/hers bathroom had plentiful supplies of shower gel, shampoo, toothbrushes etc. The only downside to our suite (408A) were the palm trees growing almost virtually onto the balcony totally obscuring any view we may have had which was a shame as the balconies on our side of the hotel benefitted from the late afternoon/early evening sun although the views were over the town rather than a sea view. The pool areas were clean and not busy considering the hotel was over 80% full and the weather predominately warm and sunny, it is a shame thought that so many sunbeds are packed around the pool making it difficult to sometimes access the beds and pool. Aqua Aerobics at 12 noon each day were fun and not intrusive for others. We did not dine in the hotel in the evening but using Trip Advisor found some really great restaurants which I will be reviewing shortly, but check out the following: Romantica (3 times), Blue Note, Cookies, La Chalanita and L'Artista - Tip: book your table to avoid disappointment. Expect to pay around 45-50 euro per person including a good white wine - try Yaiza or El Grifo. I can only echo what the other excellent reviews say about the Princesca Yaiza and you an be assured we will return. Collapse
