Have been here a few days and it's a very quiet resort and I'm looking for adventure elsewhere on the island as the nightlife is non existent even for kids. The restaurants are a little expensive and the food mirrors itself in all 6 restaurants. The beach looks amazing and clean although the sea looks a little rough. The pool area is good lots of sun beds still available late morning, the apartment is very basic but clean and the beds are ok. The only bad thing about the apartment is the terrace/balconies lack any privacy. All in all a typical 3 star in a quiet location. Collapse
Basic complex in need of improvement

We are just coming to the end of our two week stay the Primasud and it's been a mixed stay. We travelled with Jet2 who were fine. Didn't see much of Victor the rep but didn't need to. Our apartment was first floor as requested, with pool and sea view which meant a good sunrise view over the sea. Apartment very basic and shabby in need of a refurb, particularly the kitchen area. No draining surface, little storage, damaged drawer, not a long pleasant area to prepare any kind of food. Bedrooms were a good size however and plenty of wardrobe space with hangers. Not enough towel rails or hooks in bathroom though, always a bug bear of mine. Service was good in that we asked for extra pillows and got them. Also our toilet wouldn't flush on two separate occasions and both times it was fixed within 20 minutes. We hired a fan as knew there was no air-con. It didn't really make much difference and was just a noise. It was unbearably hot at times. Maid service was good, every two days with fresh towels and bed changes twice a week. The safety deposit box at €2 a day was small - it just about fitted 4 passports and a spare purse and wallet. No chance of iPads or the like fitting in. We made great use of the good sized pool. Sunbeds started to get reserved from around 7am but sometimes still beds available around 9am. There needs to be more though and there certainly is the space. There is no lifeguard or any pool management and often people would come who clearly weren't staying at the apartments. The grass area could be better maintained and made us of. People were using the pool (loudly) after dark which we found dis-respectful as we tried to relax on the balcony after an evening out. The poolside bar/restaurant was fine for lunch and drinks. Chris always made us feel welcome. It could do with a make-over and wasn't somewhere we would want to eat in the evening. Punta Prima is a very small resort with limited action. Restaurants all fine with similar menus. A little more variety would be nice. Noray was good for pizzas and massive calzones plus the uniqueness of some of the waiting staff! The beach is quite small and sea often rough with seaweed. We hired a car and visited other nicer areas including Son Bou (great long beach), Fornells (picturesque laid-back harbour), Cala en Bosch (large beach resort), Es Castell (small fishing village) and Arenal D'en Castell (another lively beach resort). We had a decent holiday but would not return to the Primasud or Punta Prima. Collapse
Lovely place but a couple of let downs!

Had a great 5 day break at Primasud, were situated at the bottom of the resort and had the small pool virtually to ourselves for the duration of the stay! Beautiful surroundings and good value pool bar and snacks. however, lack of air con in the apartment coupled with no cleaners or bed linen change for 5 days even after reporting this to reception was its downfall. Nice holiday but some improvements needed

Having previously stayed at the Primasud apartments 2 years ago we were looking forward to a return visit. Punta Prima is a small resort but has a lovely beach, several restaurants / bars and 3 supermarkets. It has a regular bus service to Mahon and close to other lovely beaches and towns such as Binebecca. We hired a car for 3 days and our favourite day trip was to Cuitadella. The apartments themselves are fairly basic but we knew that when we booked, they are however, well located, spacious and ours was clean and regularly visited by the maid service during our stay. The safe could do with being bigger and wifi definitely needs improving. (We paid for a wifi voucher but found it only worked properly at reception.) We chose to have an upstairs apartment by the smaller pool as it is slightly away from the noise of the entertainment from the neighbouring hotel at night. We were really disappointed that in the 2 years since we last visited the complex does seem to have gone downhill somewhat and feels slightly shabbier. The pool table and bouncy castle have definitely seen better days and the whole place generally was in need of a little TLC. The restaurant / bar staff were amazing and were always cheerful and attentive, Chris did a fantastic job at keeping it all running smoothly and the food, whilst limited in choice was good value and well cooked. As the pool was a big plus for us with the children our holiday was somewhat spoilt by the crowding at the pool and lack of sun beds. There were nowhere near enough sun beds for the number of apartments at the complex, despite the fact there was plenty of space to have put more. If you were not at the pool by 8am all the beds were generally gone, which led to the inevitable 'reserving' of the beds. This situation was further exacerbated by the fact it seemed to be a regular hangout for locals to use the pool for free, who gained entry unchecked through the unmanned entrance at the rear of the hotel, the weekends and late afternoon were the worse time for this and did not help an already overcrowded pool area. When we complained to reception about this we were told that limited numbers of friends/family of the staff were allowed to use the pool, however, on some days there were quite large groups of people. Although we had a nice holiday and would return to Menorca again, would sadly not revisit this hotel. Collapse
NO AIR CON!!! Unbearably hot in apartments day and night. Don't go in high season.

My spouse & I both thought we'd read our apartment had air-con, however, it doesn't. We looked at several before booking.. And we didn't know it would be the hottest week of the year we were staying! (37c.) On arrival the apartment was stifling. Found out no air con in any apartment. Complained at reception, who offered us fans that had to be rented at e1 each, cash only, per day. We hired two. They did not help. My husband ended up sleeping on a mattress he dragged to the balcony for a slightly cooler night! Our 4yr old slept fairly well but he was very hot. My sleep was awful. Aside from this, the cleaners emptied our bin once, but did not 'clean.' We only had refreshed towels because we asked. Shower floods over the bathroom floor. Very basic fittings in whole apartment. We had an invasion of ants too. We were up on 1st floor. Huge overgrown bush obscured what could have been a nice sea view. Pools x 3 were all fine. Not enough sunbeds for the guests staying. Bar staff & food nice. Service rating slightly higher due to friendly bar staff. The children's games in bar area were minimal, bouncy castle in need of repairs. Could do with refreshing whole area and investment in new kids entertainment area. The apartments are on a hillside, short walk to beach, but it is a hillside back up to apartment. Resort ok, on the quiet side, i.e. only a few bars, closed earlyish & mostly same menu in each. Up the road, Binnibequer (excuse spelling) was very nice. We hired a car via Owners Cars, via online in UK. Hire Car service was all good. Resort is short drive from airport, 15-20 mins. Our son enjoyed nearby water park 'Splash World.' Experience at these apartments marred by lack of sleep due to the heat and no air-con. Collapse
