We stayed for 2 nights and absolutely loved this hotel. It's got just the right pitch of style and comfort with an overall feel of luxury. All the staff are great, but a special mention for Barbra on reception who was just lovely. There is a short, and lovely walk along a woodland pathway to the small town and beach. The hotel have signposted the route so easy to follow. We loved this hotel, room was gorgeous, restaurant was great, and breakfast and dinner was wonderful. Would love to come back and would recommend every aspect of staying here. Collapse

We checked into the hotel on Sunday. The lady behind reception couldn't have been nicer and set the tone for the rest of our stay. She was very keen to ensure that we knew that the aim of the hotel was to make us feel at home and each and every member of staff has done exactly that. The breakfast is bountiful, the evening meals exceptional. The food is local and exceedingly well prepared, cooked and served. The whole vibe of the place is perfect, everyone is friendly, everyone is helpful. We are blown away at how reasonable the prices of food and drinks are for a boutique hotel. The suite is beautiful. Every facility is clean and well kept. I am very pleased to say that we still have one more night here. I am already sad that we have to leave. Collapse

Our family of 4 totally loved this hotel - very stylish (but not flash), beautifully designed, lovely and friendly staff, good food (including brilliant breakfasts), great pool and excellent location - about 10-15 mins walk from a stunning and huge beach. Made extra lovely because this part of the Algarve seems to be mostly Portuguese people (and mostly families) and seems a world away from the tacky, British-dominated, filler-fuelled middle part of the Algarve. Here, it's unspoiled, natural and very beautiful. Hotel prices for rooms and food not cheap (and made more expensive for Brits by weak pound - thanks Brexit voters), but not unreasonable. Some v good restaurant options within walk or short drive and lovely Tavira town only 20 mins drive away. If you like a bit of style and luxury in midst of natural beauty, this place is highly recommended. Collapse

Beautiful hotel about 10 minutes walk from the beach. I took my mother (80) and daughter (25) and we had one of the suites with a large balcony. What a treat, could not have been happier with our room, the hotel and the food, the morning breakfasts were delicious. The service in the restaurant was not good, but they were very busy, they seemed to rotate servers and things got forgotten, but everyone was super friendly and service to our room and at the pool side cafe were excellent, a special thank you to Ana who was excellent and made up for everyone else. We also had difficulties getting a good cup of coffee, mainly because I don't think anyone had really been trained on what an Americano or Latte was, but again the hotel staff were friendly and always happy to bring you something else. Having said all that, these were all very small things, we really really loved our stay, we highly recommend this hotel, it was fantastic, the exotic fragrance of neroli and cedar when you walk into the reception is divine. Cannot recommend this hotel enough. This is the second time we have stayed here, once a couple of years back and again this Summer. It is a Boutique hotel, and had been tastefully re-decorated since our last visit. (Only criticism on the decor is that they have put cream carpet in the hallways, think this may be a mistake) Rooms pretty simple but well designed, clean and comfortable. Beautiful quiet setting, 10 minutes walk from the beach and other bars/restaurants. The hotel restaurant is fantastic, buffet breakfast with a relaxed finish time, start clearing away around 11. Open kitchen all day so you can see the chefs preparing and cooking the food all day. Only time we see the blind pulled was late evening when chefs had finished cooking and were starting to wash / clean up. Very friendly staff. Pool area is quite small but again in a lovely setting. My only one criticism would be most of the pool is shaded by trees so if you are a sun worshipper you may be disappointed to find no sun immediately by the pool, however, there are sun beds on a raised level which is great if on your own without the kids. Outdoor bar/restaurant near the pool. Again good food and drink, menu very similar to indoor hotel restaurant. Tree swing and a bean bag area. We went as a couple for a 2 night break, however, the hotel does cater for children. They have a kids club during the day and in the evening the children can go to the kids club room to do drawing, watch tv etc whilst you are in the restaurant. They have a staff member there until late evening. Personally I wouldn't take my kids here, too quiet for their ages, however the children that were here looked like they were having a good time. If your children are loud/boisterous/like lots of activities then I wouldn't say this is the hotel for them as they would stick out like a sore thumb/be bored. It's a very peaceful hotel and has a really really lovely feel. Could of done with another night or two..... You can dine at the restaurant even if your not staying here. Book via main reception, but really need 2 - 3 weeks notice during summer months. Will definitely be back. Love this hotel. Collapse
