After 4 days at this property, I left wondering if I took part in an undergrad community college work experience project that was part of a reality tv show. They have no customer service skills. no ability to own issues, no control of their own property and generally they dont appear to care. There will be thousands of Disney cultists flooding their doors for every mad as hell paying customer that leaves disgusted. The true crux of things is this: People are stupid and ruin everything. Yes we stayed next to Disneyland where there would be tons of kids. There is no reason why kids need to be allowed to freak out and run laps at any and all hour of the day or night disturbing people under them. When called..yes it could be heard..thats how bad the construction is....they refused to answer. They would return the front desks messages. The front desk staff repeatedly made excuses for the tenants poor behavior and their inability to handle things.. "Maybe they are from the East Coast and thats why the child is up at 4AM stomping on your room" , "We cant do anything but call and leave a message." When OUR room was forced to relocate, it was to a smaller room in the adjacent building. An adjustment was promised by the front desk supervisor and it was discovered upon checkout that she did not keep her word. These folks dont care. They dont want to make customers happy. They just want you to pay and leave them alone. They cant get you away from the front desk soon enough if you have anything be Zip A Dee Doo Dah to say. The sink had to be fixed, the french doors were broken. and if you have french doors to separate 2 halves of the room why bother putting up see through shears? They offer zero privacy so whats the point? Also....please teach your maids how to actually make a bed. We have a 12 year old who can do better. Stay at your own risk. Collapse

I booked this hotel specifically because it said free parking. No where did it say, one car per room. I was meeting my son in Anaheim, so we came in on 2 cars. The girl at the check in desk was very nice, but got defensive and said it does say that on their website. I checked when I got home & don't see it...please let me know where I missed it. Rooms were a good size, but dated. Bathroom was as clean as you can get old tiles. We could hear the people upstairs walking, showering... The price was good. It is walkable to Disneyland. Collapse

I was looking for a hotel that was close to the convention center, but not too far away to the remainder of town. At first glance I wasn't blown away, it's not exactly the fanciest of places; it was still very clean. Walking in, I thought it was odd that they didn't have sliding automatic doors. It was kind of a pain to walk through with your luggage trailing behind you. The hotel staff greeted us warmly and got us set up in our room. We headed up and entered our room. It was so warm! The temp is set at 73'F, which for someone who lives up north, is too hot! After adjusting the room temp, I flopped on the bed which to my surprise was very comfy and springy. Most hotel beds I've slept in have been hard. The balcony was an awesome bonus. It was nice to sit outside and drink a beer in the cool of the night. Each room in the section I stayed at (building attached directly to the main office) has a balcony. Getting ready was a bit of a chore with two women. The lack of mirrors in the room was kind of annoying, but we managed. The only mirror in our room was the vanity. A full length mirror would have been nice. Oh, and the hair-dryer wasn't that bad either. It's your typical hotel hair-dryer, but it managed to dry my hair fast, if not faster, than my full-sized one at home. Every time we left and every time we came back, we were greeted warmly and with excitement. Some people would find this annoying, but as someone who has worked in customer service her entire career, it means a lot for repeat business. In fact, even while on our balcony, one of the staff waved up at us. I think his name was Arthur. Hi Arthur! The location of the hotel is fairly decent. It's right across the street from I Hop, and down the block from CVS. It's within walking distance of several delicious restaurants, is about a 10 minute walk from the Convention Center, and about a 15-20 minute walk to Disneyland. When it came to leave, we asked the staff regarding a late check out. Our flight didn't leave until late afternoon, and really didn't want to spend 5 hours at the airport. They allowed us to stay 2 extra hours, allowing more time to pack our bags and get ready for our trip back home. Overall, I enjoyed staying at the Portofino and plan on staying there again if the reason to come to Anaheim arises. The staff was incredibly friendly and gave us tips for the next time we travel in the area. Collapse
