e mailed the hotel and requested an upper floor double with sea view and that's exactly what we got + a free fridge & safe, room was 16th floor very spacious, comfortable double memory foam bed, no problem with the glass bathroom as its mostly frosted, fresh towels and toiletries every day and sheets changed twice a week, the food was nicely laid out with demonstration cooking, can't understand some reviews complaining of cold food as there are microwaves around the restaurants if you liked it hotter, found the new lift system very good and the pool area very clean and well maintained, all in all a great 7 night stay and would return to this hotel. A "new" hotel in Benidorm

A very strange place, physically. Walls whether solid or glass are either at 45 or 135 degrees to the road line. With my Partner, we visited the place for a few days on half board basis. The entrance area had opening glass doors allowing plenty of "off the sea" wind in, so the temperature was quite cold. With so many things in the hotel being "high tech" lengthy explanations are necessary at reception, where long queues formed. The four lifts had small screens where one touched for the respective floor and a letter indicated which lift was being made available. THERE ARE NO FLOOR BUTTONS IN THE LIFT. To access Reception and reception, a (in computer jargon) more pages by a downward arrow shows more floors and reception. One cannot jump into any lift and go up, as one does not know where it is going. The room keys are "contactless" with the plastic cards, which have to be inserted into a slot near the door to switch on the room electrics. The minibar fridge was silent. Noises from adjacent rooms could not be heard. Good wifi was available everywhere. The public rooms were decorated in white as were all the hotel room walls. The ceilings and pillars are also at 45 degrees, as well as the glass doors to the Restaurant. Details of the restaurant- They have a policy of not replenishing stock. So when the rice pudding, butter has gone, thats it. When other sweets have gone, similar empty areas are on show. The thick hot chocolate drink, a favourite at other hotels was available, but more closely resembled liquified chocolate gel, used in cakes, than a drink. Not too good. Better to have used Valor products, made some 10 Km down the road. Porridge is not available. Jams and marmalade are quite disgusting. The worst experienced from any hotel in Spain, or the UK. Zero out of ten for these "goos". Items to form a cooked breakfast were satisfactory. There was a lack of protein items to accompany the wide salad bar. Lots of cheeses, sliced sausage, but no selection of hams and other cooked meats. Also a lack of fish. Rooms- Together with all 45 degrees, the outside balcony formed by pale green clear glass is a little frightening. One can see and feel as if there is no "protection" to stop one from falling away. The bathroom is very strange. Again at 45 degrees to the room entrance door (with 5 hinges). It is formed from thick glass with a glass door. All areas have a central defused set of transfers, but the top and bottom half of the occupants can easily be seen. Not suitable for commercial professional "strangers" clients. I believe that the designers have not stayed for a night in one of these glasshouse bathrooms. As it is usual practice to be considerate when going to the bathroom in the middle of the night, to close the bathroom door and keeping lights to a minimum. Unfortunately the numerous ceiling spot lights, with high brightness wakes the other room sleeper up, with brightness resembling the top of a lighthouse. The aircon/heating is silent and very good. So a quirky "new" hotel formed from an old rundown apartment block hotel. The visual aspects of the hotel are very modern and open. Good views of the beach and bay. The outside swimming pool and area are excellent. On site car parking is difficult and finding one´s way to reception via a small lift with "reception" not marked on the buttons (the only single lift there) and going past the restaurant emergency exit and Spa and Gym is confusing. If this is one of the highest rated hotels in Benidorm I would genuinely hate to see the worst. My husband and I booked a last minute deal to stay here. I have to say, I am still sitting in the room but felt I had to share my experience. This is night 3 of our 7 night stay and we have decided to stay elsewhere for the rest of our holiday at our own cost as this is simply too awful to stand for another 4 nights! Not a single member of staff has been in any way friendly, despite both of us being polite and smiley. Other couples were showed to a table in the restaurant while we were told 'sit anywhere' while the waiter/restaurant manager vaguely pointed to one half of the room. He could not have cared less. The bar staff have the same attitude, as if guests are just SO inconvenient. The food in the buffet restaurant is beyond bad. I cannot understand other reviews that say it is good. Most things were only lukewarm, nothing inventive or even vaguely Spanish. I can cook nicer more nutritious food at home. All inclusive ends at 11pm meaning if you'd like a drink after that you'll be paying up. I do hope management see this - although me mentioning these issues to them wouldn't make any difference, these are not isolated issues. It's impossible that just my plate of food has been unbelievably disappointing every dinner and breakfast. Perhaps I expected too much. Having stayed at hotels where excellent service is standard made me forget there are places where these things are still lacking. The hotel building is nice and fresh and it has a great location right by the beach but that is where the positives end. If you want this location but aren't bothered about the food and service quality then stay here. If you expect more for your money please please go elsewhere. Collapse

We had a quiet room on 5th floor overlooking the pool. However if you want a sea view you need to get a higher room on the other side of hotel. From the moment we checked in the staff were very friendly, attentive and nothing too much trouble. The rooms were very well equipped, modern clean and comfortable. The restaurant was very bright clean and had pleasant outlooks. The waiters and staff were very efficient and friendly. The food was excellent for all inclusive ( which can get monotonous at times) but was varied, well presented and lots of different choices every day. The pool area,gym/spa were all great and well maintained. The only negative was the evening entertainment which catered for older people dancing and same singer on every night. They bought in a few other acts but they were not much better either. However, that's not a problem in Benidorm where there are so many fantastic tribute acts around if you want to go out at night. Overall we would definitely recommend this hotel and had a fabulous week. Collapse
