Normally, I'd never write a review before the end of my stay, but we just had a really bad night, having just checked in. First of all, we arrived late—9:25 pm—and the restaurant was closing, so we had to be rushed across the property to the adult's only restaurant, where the wait staff were reluctant to let us in, although we had a "ticket" from the front desk. Room service ends early too, so that wasn't an option. The pools were closed too! Apparently, they close at 8 and 9 p.m.! So much for our dreams of jumping into the pool for a night-time swim. Then, we were given the keys to our rooms. I'm alone with 2 children (aged 11 and 12) and requested an adjoining room. But the front desk said, "There was no guarantee of this." So, no adjoining room. Next, she gave us a map to walk to our room, which is on the furthest end of the property (in the other direction from the adults only restaurant). She didn't warn us that it was a MAZE with NO SIGNS. It took us 15-20 minutes walking in the dark before we saw a maid and cried out for help. She pointed us in the right direction. When we got to the building our rooms were in, there were arrows pointing to every number, except ours. We dragged our luggage up the stairs, and back down, and circled the building. They could have done a better job of directing us! The whole property is very dated. From the 70s maybe? And the rooms are no exception. Was disappointed not to have adapters. I walked all the way back to the front desk and they could only offer us one. Outside of our room, the air smells like toilets. It's not that noticeable in the room, maybe because they have multiple air fresheners. I don't know if there are actual public toilets outside our rooms or if that is the smell of the sea? We'll find out tomorrow. But the worst thing for me is that they told us that there are limited hours when the kids can use the indoor pool. From 2 p.m.-5 p.m. This is really disappointing, and I feel I've been had. The photos are really deceiving. It looks like an amazing family friendly resort. But buyer beware right? This was not worth what we paid for it and we won't be coming back. Should have stayed in Palma, like everyone suggested. (Yes, this hotel is a 45-minute drive from the airport. It's not worth the drive.) Oh and the free internet is really slow. Collapse

We are just back from a week at this hotel and it was absolutely fabulous, we are a family of 4 with 2 teenage kids and everyone enjoyed the holiday. We were all inclusive which meant that the kids could get food/drinks and snacks without any hassle. Huge variety of food at every mealtime. We ate mainly at the adults restaurant and the staff were so friendly and helpful, remembering us from day to day. We were in 2 maris rooms next to each other, with the only slight downside being that the balconies were small, would have been perfect if the rooms had been adjoining with a shared balcony so we could have all sat out together. But in fairness we were at the rooms so little time it was not an issue. Rooms were kept spotlessly clean. Bar staff in both areas in the evening were also great and remembered you from night to night. Variety of entertainment and we had nights at both areas depending on what was on. Great rock band at the adults area one night. Entertainment staff round the main pool were also good at getting you involved without being pushy. They let you know what was away to start, so you could join in if you wanted. They were very enthusiastic, especially with the water polo. There was the adult pool if you wanted peace and quiet, but we preferred the buzz at the main pool. Lastly the reception staff were also great, unfortunately my daughter left an item in the room, and they have been very helpful in locating this and helping us get the returned. We have now been twice to this hotel and would definitely return. Collapse

We have just returned from a week at Club Pollentia. 6 of us - Family of 4 with teenage kids plus elderly grandparents. We had 3 Maris rooms so were very comfortable. Away from the main pool area (so lovely and quiet) but near tennis courts and football pitches. Upstairs rooms have a smaller balcony area and I think the ground floor rooms benefit from larger balcony area but we didn't spend much time in the rooms so it wasn't too important. We generally managed to get sunbeds with shade but I'm sure once the English schools break up there could be a bun fight for them!! The pool areas were all great and not once did we feel they were too busy. The adult only pool and area is great and very quiet so perfect for couples. The spa and gym were beautiful (sadly only had a chance to look at not enjoy!) We were on half board and I was really impressed by the choice, quality and abundance of food. Staff on site were so helpful and friendly. I was under the impression the hotel was on the beach but in fact it's across the busy road and it's not a nice beach. But the hotel lays on shuttle buses to local beaches each day which you have to prebook. We enjoyed Port Pollença beach but found Port Alcudia smelly and shallow. Good for smaller kids (minus the smell) and the pedalos with slides were fun. We hired a car one day (from the resort-trouble free) and explored Cap Formentor including an idyllic bay we had to trek down a stony path to but were rewarded by a beautiful cove (stony) with clear water and even a cliff to jump off. We then drove through/across the mountain range to Soller which was lovely but a long drive. All in all it was a great week and we would definitely recommend the hotel. Collapse

So to be honest, I was overall disappointed with this resort. I pride myself on good research upfront but I feel like I failed with this hotel. I was aware that it was situated in a location which was not on the beach so we hired a car and that was a lifesaver. We got out and about every day to different beaches and I have to say that the beaches in Majorca especially Cala Vincenz and Formentera are some of the best I have seen in the world. Absolutely beautiful, breathtaking with lovely warm, clear blue water. We loved every minute of it. This was good as we did not love the resort and wanted to spend our time away from it. I think it would be different if we didn't have children as I found the family pool area very noisy and crowded. The food at the pool bar was awful and we only had one meal there, not to be repeated. It is hard to mess up a hot dog but somehow they managed to serve it on the most dry stale bread roll. Even the chips were bad. My daughter said ''like oven chips but worse' The food in the family dining room was equally uninspiring. There was an abundance of it, but mostly lacking in flavour. Fruit salad out of a tin?? (in Spain with all their beautiful fruit) The cooking staff seemed disinterested in service. I pointed out a large black hair on the salad to a chef and he just removed it from the plate. I was expecting him to rush the dish off to the kitchen at least for appearance sake. Still frozen spring rolls on the kids buffet, pointed out to the manager, complete lack of interest. Anyway, we lined our stomachs with our half board offering but opted to eat out for 3 of the dinners of our week's stay anyway. The adults only offering was much better as we had breakfast there and standards are much higher (possibly as they can do smaller volumes) We stayed in H block Maris Rooms. This is literally the furthest point from the kids clubs and is 900 steps from the main dining area and reception and the family pool. So great if you want to get your 10 000 steps a day but there is no spontaneous popping to your room, it is miles away from anything (except the adults only area which we couldn't use). We had 2 rooms there. Tiny (my suitcase had to go on the balcony) but clean and functional. Aircon and lights are on a movement sensor frustratingly so you have to jump up and wave your hands in the air to get them working if you are lying reading your book or watching tv (was quite funny). Wifi in the rooms was very poor. We had to stand on the balcony to send Whatsapps. Good staff were Christian in the adults only bar where we had a couple of drinks and all the front desk staff and hobby team. All very helpful and smiley. The gym is very nice and well equipped by hotel standards. I made use of it. I didn't use the indoor pool or spa. No kids allowed. We had 2 amazing meals at the restaurant Il Giardino in Pollenca old town. I highly recommend it, make a booking on the square for a fab evening. It is 11 EUR for a taxi each way there from the hotel. It is EUR 8 for a taxi to Alcudia for the evening. We had a lovely time in Majorca overall. Beautiful beaches and some amazing evenings in Pollenca and Alcudia old towns. Collapse
