We have just returned from a 10 day stay here and are looking to book up again. The bar and kitchen staff are so friendly and helpful particularly Carlos. The food is lovely and fresh and well cooked, with special themed nights. The only thing I would say is my sister is vegetarian and some of it is not well labelled. I've just read a review saying it was difficult to get a sunbed and I can honestly say I didn't have trouble with this once. The sun beds are padlocked until 9am meaning no one can reserve them before this and the hotel has such a friendly atmosphere that after a few days people got to know where everyone liked to sit left it for you. There was a little kids pool meaning I could sit at the front and let my 4 year old splash about on her own and a deeper pool for my 10 year old who particularly enjoyed the tunnel slide. The girl who runs the kids club, Elva is fantastic, there are different activities every day, games in the pool and a disco at night. At the end of our stay she gave the girls a little certificate she had written for them which I thought was a lovely touch. The hotel is quite small but I didn't find it crowded, in fact I thought it added to the friendly atmosphere. We got to know all of the families staying there and I felt comfortable letting my little one have a bit more freedom as she likes a wander and a chat! The only suggestions I would have are that it would be nice to have the option to eat inside with air conditioning as it was very hot when we were here. Collapse

We are still staying here whilst I am writing this review. Early hours of this morning we were woken by new arrivals at 0400 hours. The room is situated right above the reception, this means that any new arrivals take the lift or the stairs right outside you door. Noisy as hell!! The maid does come everyday, but only makes your bed. The floor is thick dust under the table. The kitchen does look new though but that maybe due to people not using it as the room isn't the cleanest. I won't be coming back to stay at this hotel but restaurants in the area are good. One last thing, if there's a football game on. Stay away from the area near bar code 7 as the 'fans' were stopping cars in the street and banging on the bonnets. This led to the police turning up and drawing their batons. Bit scary for the kids we had with us. Collapse

We stayed here for 12 nights We arrived around 10pm and were greeted in reception by a really pleasant man who checked us in Our room was spacious enough for 4 the room was clean with really good air conditioning which we needed The rooms were well equipped with fridge microwave hob pots pan etc we even had a small washing up kit ( wash up liquid tea towel ,scourer ) room had a Tv you can hire a remote for 20€ (refundable ) safes are 20€ per week and 10€ deposit also don't forget you have to pay tourist tax for adults which cost us 33 € for 12 nights We were self catering plenty of supermarkets to buy essentials we did upgrade for one evening meal 15€ adults 7.50 € child , food and drink from 6.30 -9.00 pm On the night we ate the choice was really good I cannot comment on the entertainment as we went out every night as we were a party of 12 with children aged 18-13 Due to the ages I don't think we needed the hotel to have lots of things to do but I can imagine if you were not venturing out it would have limited things to do We didn't have a problem getting a sun bed but you do have to be there around 9 which let me tell you is heaven compared to some resorts were you have to get up at stupid o clock The pool was always busy as it was so hot there was a slide but it was out of action for a few days due to children going down on lilos and damaging the hose . This isn't the best pool to swim in due to the shape and on a couple of days found the pool to be very cloudy as I think the filter system was not pumping . I thought the hotel was in a great position with bars and restaurants within a 5 min walk , the bus stop was 5 min walk to take you to Palma and other resorts and the taxi rank is there as well (10€ to magaluf- Palma nova) which the teenagers made the most of The beach is the same distance just a 5-7min walk lots of beds and plenty of space if you don't want to pay there are only pedalos no other water sports If you want a little more lively part of the resort this is around a 10-15 walk from the hotel with quiet a few lively bars open till 4-5 am there are bars with live music and the square is a nice place to go which is around 20min walk We ate out for 10 nights and we didn't have a bad meal the Indian Krishna was lovely chinese hang Zhou lll ate here twice There is a lovely Spanish restaurant called meson del Rey which was amazing there really is loads of choice Or if you want fast food there is macdonalds 5.38 € for a happy meal so not cheap Burger King and subway I have not been to santa ponsa before but I would definitely return as there really is something for all ages Collapse

hotel facilities are far too small for the number of rooms and guests, hard to get a sunbed, pool always crowded, often could not get a table in the restaurant particularly at Dinner. Restaurant and bar/entertainment area pretty much the same so families would come in for dinner and keep the table for the entire night. Staff are all very helpful and friendly but they are fighting a losing battle. Rooms are OK but ageing and lots of things not working properly especially in bathrooms. Room cleaning service is very poor Collapse

G8 week away. Rooms are large and spotless. Maid service every day. Nice pool area with slides for kids. We were on a self catering basis so didn't sample food or entertainment. Reception staff always helpful. Nice chill out areas. About a 10/15 minute stroll into centre of Santa Ponsa with bars restaurants and shops on way. We enjoyed the walk at night. Would stay here again. Collapse
