GF Gran Costa Adeje Costa Adeje Beautiful island 514326661 Our apartment was spacious but situated near the main road and within sight and hearing of the motorway, to sleep well closing of windows is a must there is no air con on the apartments but a ceiling fan is adequate. The hotel has a lot of steps , to access the upper floors which can be difficult when carrying suit cases there is a lift but it only covers certain floors . We had a lovely view of the mountains from the front bedroom but from the balcony were faced with a Sy park which had gone out of business many years ago, this is a shame as it's not very pleasant . But not the hotel owners fault. The staff are friendly and helpful, the food is average, breakfast and lunch run without issue but dinner is chaotic, this is because they insist on lining everybody up for the main buffet service area , I challenged this stating that we would like soup first yes you can do,that as long as somebody stands in the line was the reply, we want to eat as a family so ignored their silly rule . By running service this way they also, put pressure on the kitchen staff who are unable to keep up with demand for what is on offer The reason being that there is no natural break to enable staff to keep up. The inclusive offer could be improved , children love ice cream BUT this is only included in the resturant, all inclusive starts at 10 and finishes at 11 pm. Natalie is good fun and a good member of staff setting high standards . Swimming pools open at 10am with people queuing from as early as 8.30 am! Life guards are kind and caring and keep,a good eye on the swimming pool The entertainment it's adequate for the children but very poor during the evening. Everything finished in the hotel at mid night but as the inclusive offer had already finished this was not really a problem Collapse

The resort is clean and the staff friendly and helpful. If you are going fully inclusive then there are some disadvantages. The food is average at best and although they change the theme daily the food doesn't. There is variety but they would benefit on offering less of better quality. Evening entertainer is awful there is some clubs and discos for the kids but it is very hit and miss. There are however activities around the pool during the day. The biggest bug bear is the lack of staff in the evening. For a fully inclusive hotel to have 1 barmen working on peak season caused unreasonable queues. We personally ate and drank out more than we really wanted too. A lot of the rooms are at the front of the hotel and it can be noisey at night with traffic. Overall if you don't expect to much this place is great. I will personally spend a little bit more for 4star hotel. Collapse

We returned home after staying for a week. Two adults and a 14 year old. The hotel is situated up a hill but close to the beach, bars and shops with free wifi in reception. Arrival went smoothy and we were able to access the dining hall after it had closed. We were in a newly refurbished suite which was lovely. Air condition in both rooms and the entrance hall, flat screen tv''s, jacuzzi bath, walk in shower, hairdryer, coffee maker, fridge, toiletries and even bathrobes!! We had an astroturfed balcony overlooking the pool. Rooms were cleaned every day and towels changed. They were left spotless. Food was good especially the breakfasts which were my sons favourite meal of the day with plenty of variety at the evening meal too. Some meats and fish were freshly cooked whilst you waited. We spent a couple of days by the pool as our preference is the beach. They unlock the gates at about 9.30 am (state 10 am) and a few people start to queue from 8.30. Despite this, we were able to find a space later that morning on the days we stayed.. During the day there is water polo, table tennis, splash bingo and other activities but be prepared for so many children having water guns!!! Whilst there we went to Siam Park during the day but returned on a Saturday night. I would definitely recommend obtaining a fast track during the day as the queues can be up to an hour on the popular rides. By night was amazing!! We also went on a boat trip to see Whales which was brilliant. We didn't hang around the hotel at night so can't comment as our preference was having a walk to the bars around the area but we did watch the hypnotist which was very entertaining. Check out is 12 pm and a courtesy room is offered. Overall we had a fantastic time, it's what you make it. Everyone who works there puts in 100% and more. The gripes I have is that one of our bedrooms was on the road side and during the night we could hear cars beeping and going over a grid on the crossing which made a clanging sounds. We have all said that we would love to return there in the future. Collapse

Stayed here over xmas in Dec 2016. Room was lovely clean and big. No air con glad we didn't need it as was cooler. The food although they did themed nights wasn't great we arrived and the buffet was just closing popped in for a bite and actually witnessed a waiter move the bread rolls to see mouldy bread. The snack bar at the pool was swarming with flys and was the night befores leftovers consisting of nuggets and chips. This was the same every day. the drinks were watered down and they use the cheapest juice so your sitting bloated after a few ! The main pool bar man can't remember his name was a laugh and very friendly. My cousin slipped on sick going to the buffet that hadnt been cleaned up .. would not Return to chicken nugget land ...
