From the outside Peterstone Court Hotel could be considered imposing and it fits into its impressive mountain backdrop with ease. But it’s a different, informal picture on the inside where things really start to happen. Chic and distinctive in its style, Peterstone remains loyal to its Georgian heritage, but compliments the old, with a relaxed style, funky details and modern touches.
If you look forward with anticipation to a few well earned moments away, then it’s essential that you get a room with the space to more than ‘swing a cat in’. All the rooms are super spacious, relaxing and designed with comfort and luxury in mind. With just eight rooms inside the main house all are large, light and airy spaces, you could quite simply get lost in. All the rooms are gorgeous, but the difference between ‘Good, Better and Best’ rooms is based on size and views. The annexed stables have been converted into four duplex loft rooms, possibly bigger than most London flats and ideal for guests with dogs. All rooms have fabulously comfy beds, flat screen TV’s, DVD players, tea/coffee-makers with homemade cookies delivered daily. Robes, slippers, gorgeous Myddfai toiletries.
Many visitors to Peterstone Court come for the food and the glorious setting, so we want to make sure you are suitably well fed and watered on your stay. The Conservatory Restaurant and cosy bar are open every day for lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.

Stayed for 1 night with husband, children and dog due to moving to the area. Room was amazing and extremely comfortable. Food was outstanding and the staff could not have been more helpful. Made us all feel very welcome with how friendly they all are. We are back again a few days later enjoying afternoon tea which again is wonderful. Hotel is beautiful with a stunning view. Highly recommended. Will be visiting whenever I can. Collapse

We stayed 2 nights after choosing the hotel based on the recommendations and closeness to the beacons. It is in a beautiful location and has lovely reception rooms with roaring fires. We stayed in one of the stable rooms and it was a wonderful room to stay in. It felt like we had an apartment rather than a room and it was comfortable and welcoming. The staff are the real stars of this hotel and were all so warm, friendly and approachable. They really make you feel welcome and seem genuinely concerned that you are enjoying the visit. The cooked breakfast was excellent. The wifi is inconsistent but that is not necessarily a bad thing when you want to cut yourself off and enjoy the experience. Collapse

The welcome was very good with nice staff. Evening meal was really good, especially the lamb. Rooms downstairs were nice especially the library, bar and conservatory section of the dining room. Bedroom was large with good views. Could be better as we had a problem with the shower to get a proper temperature. Would be nice to have ski and BT on the tv especially as I love sport. Coffee in room really basic with terrible Nescafé. Cooked breakfast really good but the buffet was terrible. Choice very basic and it depended on when you arrived if there was any. Also buffet area very small. Not impressed with one slice each of toast. Service very good and we had a relaxing time. Will be happy to return but need to improve some aspects to improve the hotel from good to excellent. Collapse

Booked the night away for my husband's birthday... Had a fantastic night. Food and drink was excellent, staff were extremely friendly and helpful, room was lovely (and nice and warm on our arrival) , so glad we could take our dog with us. The ground were beautiful and perfect for walking the dog. He was allowed most places in the hotel which was great for us. Afternoon tea is a must. Would definitely recommend this place and will definitely return . Only bad point was leaving ... could have stayed another night. Will definitely return in the summer when the pool is open. Collapse

We are spoilt, we have travelled and stayed in a lot of lovely (and rubbish!!) places. We chose Peterstone, as they were happy to accommodate our 3 children. I have to say, the lovely and I mean lovely blonde receptionist made our stay and she even gave our dog some toys to take home. Such a lovely, caring lady. We are quite happy to pay a premium for luxury, but this is not what we got. The whole property feels down at heel. The bathrooms are an ode to the 1980's, with mould and peeling paint. We got moved into the 'cottage', which was in terrible order and the heating only partially worked and the hot water is only tepid. We had booked for a 'best room', but were charged from the list prices for a suite. The cottage is also located directly on top of a main road, so don't expect much sleep. The staff were all friendly and attentive, but the attention to detail, expected from 5 star accommodation and dining was not there. We had to ask and then wait for everything at each stage, from glasses of wine, to having to ask for glasses and plates to be cleared, to the provenance of food such as mussels. Which when they found out, were locally sourced from The Gower and I have to say were AMAZING and we even ordered a further portion for my son. We ordered the local lamb, which sadly was so over cooked was inedible. We ordered an expensive bottle of wine, which was presented SO cold, it made it undrinkable and I was found in the WC filling up a wine cooler with hot water to try to bring it up to temperature. The children's menu, looked so promising. We ordered three rounds of local sausages and chips. Again the sausages were not edible, they were cheap and nasty trade (fish and chip shop style) grade and the children left the lot. Even the unfussy one. The chips again however, were delicious. So in all too expensive for what you get, friendly and helpful staff, who are willing, food is a Russian roulette, ranging from poor to delicious. Definitely more 2.5 star than 5. Collapse
